Smile like a Monkey with a new Banana

This is a reminder to never panic--  "It will all come out in the wash"--Mom used to say that! --- One never knows what one will find each morning around here--  --so-----  This morning, when I tell yu what I found, you will all say, "Oh I'm so happy that I don 't have a dog."--You see, poor Beau must've tried to wake us up in the night, but---  I did not hear him--and Himself doesn't hear anything, so, poor Beau did his business down in the guest room -- Poor guy eh?---  but---  don't you all panic, because people who own dogs always have a good rug shampooer--and extra medicine for "just in case" situations----That is what I was doing early this morning.

It is all taken care of now---and even little Lopez has been out walking  on the back road--

Of course, we had a wonderful dock day yesterday--- and when I came up from the dock, there was son#4, winding all my weed whackers for me--  I could've hugged him! --I never asked him to do that as I usually take them all to the dealer in town, very early,  and they will do it for me. Bless son#4's heart eh?

I am hoping to make a Rhubarb pie this AM, for supper,  before it gets too hot--and before I forget, here are some pictures from yesterday's day on the dock, with Grandchildren everywhere---Here is "the snack dock"

I do simply love them all coming out-- It truly is an honour---

Lopez is screeching--  He can't see me up here on the computer--so---- I shall leave you all for now--Remember that "Women" really do make the world go 'round-- because we are strong--

  1. Poor Beau... but I get it, even as "grandma" to a visiting dog, I know the drills. Go pay attention to Lopez, and savor memories of that awesome visit from the grands, and your supportive son #4 (and all the other children who help out, too... as we age, we need it more!)

Have a great Monday to kick off the week ahead!

I think you said pilot son is coming today. Rhubarb pie sounds wonderful and there are enough people that leftovers won't be around to tempt you lol.

  4. WE are strong! What beautiful pictures! Great memories for everyone! Thank you for sharing!
Poor Beau. It’s tough getting older. I have a 15 year old German Wirehaired pointer. It’s a blessing everyday when she is still with us.
    Have fun!
    Rhubarb pie sounds delightful!

  5. Yes, two yorkies equals a shampooer nearby! Sorry you didn’t hear him and had this mess. Another thing to do!:( Oh thank you son #4 for doing that for your wonderful mom! I know that is always a chore to keep them whackers going with that string. I struggle with that string stuff. Always interrupting my husband working on something to fix my string! Fun family times makes your heart warm and fuzzy! Enjoy and have a wonderful week! Hugs from Ohio!:)

  6. Glad things are moving along, pooping happens, but carry on. Glad that stringing is done for awhile. One would hope modern weed whackers would not need that done anymore! Take care.

  8. Poor Beau. Been there - life happens. Give Beau a little more attention and some hugs today. So much going on for him to deal with. Glad everything else is going well and you're getting some help. Hope your daughter is staying until the pilot arrives and you have them all together. Have a great day!

  10. Poor Beau is right, but poor you, too!. I know you didn't scold him.
Lopez can't see you 'up here on the computer'? He can't climb the stairs? Then poor Lopez!
