I am late posting as I was buying bananas ---plus $178 more--- The cost of food is terrible isn't it?--I left home at 8am--- and after putting it all away, it is now almost 12 noon--It is a lot of work to shop for groceries!
Son #3, son #4 daughter, Son#1, and son#2--as they are to-day--many moons after the "gravel pit" days--They grew up way too fast---It seems like only yesterday, they looked like this-----I read in my book that a Lady said, when her children were young, (like in the above picture)-they were the best yrs of her life----- I too believe thy were pretty good yrs--but-- but to-day's years are different--kinda exciting too--I think-- LOL--- Lord love a Duck! What do you all think?-- Hugs, LyndaSunday, July 31, 2022

I so miss those days when my children were young. So many things I wish I had done differently. I loved having them here, watching them play and enjoy life so much!
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures. One of may favourite memories is my 50th Birthday. My friend, along with some help from my 3 DD's gave me a Surprise birthday party and it truly was a surprise. Had a whole house full of friends show up with their spouses and we had an awesome time. An evening to remember!
ReplyDeleteLove the picture of your adult kids. You have great kids.
ReplyDeleteYes, it was great when my son was young. Many things I'd have done differently but no do overs. Time marches on. Today is wonderful too.
Grocery store UGG
Enjoy your day!
What a lovely picture of you and son #1, Linda. And the ‘grown up’ pictures of your kids is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI think we had good times when the kids were growing up, but these are good days, too. The kids are adults, providing for themselves, and happy. That’s so important!
Hope you can make your groceries last. Had to get freggies and had some coupons so the bill was under $100, but no meat, so . . . fairly expensive.

What a great picture, all of the children, grown up! And pictures when they were young, lucky to have good memories, and fun times together. You did your best. Enjoy it! Makes you smile! Blessings. Despite the high grocery bill. My son caught Covid from a guy at work, been sick since Thursday. Now I’m hoping I did not catch it, being around him, before it took hold. Enjoy the day! (Ethelmerz)
ReplyDeleteI love the photo of you and son #1. I thought it was a painting before I read that it was you with your son. Your kids were so cute when they were young and nice looking adults now. Glad you got your shopping done and enjoying our favorite day-Sunday! Have a happy, healthy new week, Lynda! Hugs from Ohio!
ReplyDeleteSo funny - I recognize that car bed! I had one exactly like it! Blue and everything - with the telescoping legs! My son#1 will be 50 this year. I also remember using the car bed in the house in the living room as an extra bassinet when son#2 was born 2 1/2 years later! Don't remember using it with son#3 or daughter (baby #4)! Life today is sooooo different for our kids who are raising their families.....I think everything we used or did with our kids would be considered dangerous by todays standards!
ReplyDeleteAs for the best years of our lives? Can't tell yet... life is not over. And life is good.
ReplyDeleteLynda….your pics are all awesome! It’s fun to look back…bittersweet, though…what a great looking bunch of offspring you raised!! Hope your today is a good one! ❤️ Eissa7
ReplyDeleteLynda,
DeleteI agree that each passing time as our family grows up (and out with additions) becomes the best time. Love when you share them.
MawMaw - old Sparkperson! HeHe..
Now how did I miss this yesterday? You have wonderful photos. In print and digital, too! I haven't yet figured out how I could post a photo here for you.

The pictures are awesome...time sure does fly. They are all handsome grown ups now. I love seeing the early days pics tho...yes some of the stuff used back then would be considered dangerous today.
ReplyDeleteGroceries are terrible everywhere....we are trying to cut back every where we can to stretch the budget.
Most of the time, if I buy a splurge like a steak, we will split it...can't eat like we used to for sure.
Great picture! Donna_cps2
