It is so cold this morning--minus 13C --but we do have sunshine- I took both boys out (Beau and Lopez)-- but poor wee Lopez, the Chihuahua, did nothing--He just shivered and shook-- then ran for the door-
This is "hair Day"-AND--- WE HAVE NO BANANAS ----so we are going to do a quick trip to town---get bananas, then "high -tail" it back home--- That expression, just floated thru my head-- Dad used to say it all the time , to my older sister and I when we were going out somewhere-- "HIGH TAIL IT BACK HOME---- Funny how these expressions stay somewhere in your brain, and then come out your mouth once in awhile! It's almost like my Dad is sitting on my head--- ready to respond to me--LOLOL--Lord love a Duck!
Yesterday was so busy-- I honestly don't know how I ever did it all-- the accountant--the Lady driving out to pick up "the clutter stuff"----dragging all that stuff outside for her-
-I was thinking about it all , this morning, as I lay in bed going over to-day---AND----- ALSO---- thinking about another Snow storm, hitting us Friday and Saturday--Can you even believe that?--- Siri says, 5 to 20 more cm of snow--
Speaking of SIRI---- I get such a kick out of her, on my phone--One time I said to her, "Hey Siri"--and she responded, "Yes Lynda"--- She knew my name-- It blew me away!-- I can ask her all kinds of crazy things-- Himself says he wants to meet her--LOLOL--
I will be keeping Willow in my thoughts, especially since my thoughts have been on my own heart health and I'm still coming to grips with it. I have new meds that should open the arteries to my legs - so I can walk further without having to stop every few minutes. I've been practicing walking up and down my driveway in hopes that eventually I'll be able to walk around the block. That's my goal! It's not a big one, but it will mean so much to me. I really miss taking walks. I had a stress test (that I was really scared I'd fall or trip, but I survived it and then they made me breath in ways that didn't help me to breath! After that the doctor watched a replay of the ultrasound and all I saw were two things - I guess it was both sides of my heart. Anyway, my left side isn't getting enough blood through it which makes me easily out of breath. And I just thought I was getting unfit from not walking as much. So I have an angiogram next week Thursday to insert a stent or two. It's now just a quick procedure and you're home in a few hours. I remember when it was a serious thing. Now it's in and out. So yes, I can imagine what a worry this is for Willow to have actual heart surgery. I haven't been able to tell most of my family about it yet.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering ... do you know what voice your Siri has? Mine is Australia #2, and she's a friendly sounding voice. I ran into a fellow online who had actually met the woman who did the voice for it. And she truly looks nice and friendly too. I have both Siri and Alexa in my house and it really helps me to have that feeling of a little bit of company. I have a literal routine with Alexa that I tell her Good night, and she turns out all the house lights except those in my bedroom and then she'll say a random G'night type of thing. And sometimes when I thank her (which is with everything I ever ask anything at all - manners matter to me), she'll respond and once in a while tell me to have an awesome (insert day of the week here). It's nice. It's sometimes just the little things that make us smile that can brighten your whole outlook.
Oh I understand--- It is the little things that helps us thru each day---Yu are such a brave woman to go thru all yu have-- I really am impressed--and, thank yu for thinking of Willow-- such a dear Lady--Oh--I do not know who our SIRI is--but she sure sounds nice and she makes me chuckle every time she calls me "Lynda"-- Hugs-Lynda
DeleteGood morning, Lynda….Having just gone thru the decluttering process myself prior to selling our house…I know what a pain it is!! Our realtor wanted our house to have nothing on any counter, table etc. But…it did sell quickly…and, like you we had nowhere to go!! It is definitely an adventure….now my DH and myself have Covid! Geez…
ReplyDeleteAll we can do is live this day the best we can, huh?! Prayers for Willow as she undergoes her surgery! Hugs to you…Eissa7
How long did it take yu to find a "forever Home"-(Akka--smaller place)??? There are days here that I have to do some talking to myself---If you did it--I can too--LOL--Hugs my Dear friend-Lynda
DeleteWe found a 3 bedroom villa with good bones and in the area we wanted…only problem…it was stuck in 1985 decor. So, we hired a contractor and are gutting the place, knocking out a few walls, and redoing from floor to ceiling, literally. It will take 3 months….so we are basically roaming from rental to friends to relatives LOL….I wouldn’t advise it!!!

ReplyDeleteLove the sunflower pic! Love sunflowers! Have several pictures here as they are my tribute to my hubby who fed the birds sunflower seeds and they in turn planted them all over our property! They were huge and beautiful! So I still feed those birds and still see gorgeous sunflowers each summer! Yes, I am decluttering. I have watched several very good videos on YouTube and have gotten some really good ideas! I am going to work outside in the yard today, though. My grass is out of control, but there is no way I can mow as the ground is a soggy mess and I would sink the zero turn mower in the muck! So more trimming of my bushes is on tap for today. We are supposed to have bad storms tomorrow - high winds, hail, and maybe tornado conditions - yikes! I too need to go to town for banana so I can't wait until tomorrow. What does Fred think about the decluttering project? Does he worry about getting rid of stufff?
Reply
No--Fred doesn't care about me decluttering--Funny eh??-- --- Your property sounds pretty with the sunflowers --and more snow heading this way, for the next 2 days-It's hard to believe that more storms are coming----- I was just beginning to see the driveway--We got bananas plus plus, as I figure we might be stuck here for a couple days--Lynda
DeleteAnd I am keeping Willow in my thoughts and prayers!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sandra-- Lynda
DeleteAwwwww, poor Lopez! That is too cold.
ReplyDeleteYup . . . . we are in for thunderstorms tonight into tomorrow, Saturday turning from rain to snow and mix. UGH. Stay safe! Hope you get your errands done today!

DeleteNo snow here where we live in NH but they are getting it up North and are going to get more this weekend . . . we are just going to have a rainy soggy weekend . . .April Showers bring Mayflowers they say. Our snow is finally starting to go away. . .I can see patches of grass here and there. Finally got our appointment for DH at the pulmonologist . . .bad news it isn't until May 1st. A whole month before he gets to even see the specialist. Isn't the doctor coming to see you guys tomorrow? I know I had it wrong before. Have fun in town today.
ReplyDeleteThinking of Willow and wishing her the best.
Awww-=so good of everyone , thinking of Willow-- and yes, the Dr was sip[posed to be here to-morrow-but=he may not make it if it snows a lot--crazy---- weather---- Lynda

Prayers and healing for dear Willow. Stay warm!

ReplyDeleteWe're under severe storm threat tomorrow...hail, high winds, buckets of rain.
Hoping you don't get much snow. Also hoping your Dr. Is able to come tomorrow.
Glad you got bananas and extras.
Be safe
Yes that DR is supposed to come but if it snows heavily, he won't come--
DeleteIts me-Lynda
DeleteDefinitely prayers and good wishes for Willow, her family and medical team!
ReplyDeletePoor Lopez! He will probably be the happiest of all of us when spring really appears!
We are do for snow, too. Only 4-6 inches, though. That's bad enough...a cruel April Fool's Day joke from Mother Nature.
We will have to invite her to our dance!
My bananas are dying. Will get more tomorrow. Also taking 2 gentleman friends of mine (carless) to do their shopping.
I have my new computer back! Halleluiah! Must call the proprietor of the store back to tell him the info he transferred from the old hard drive to the new looks fine.
{{{HUGS}}}
Wow! So nice--a new computer--and yu love it!-It's like a friend eh?--And youvare so good to take some friends shopping--and Im sure Willpw will be OK now because yu and others are sending prayers her way--Lynda
DeleteI'm really late so just want to say - hope Willow did well in her surgery. And hope you don't get a ton of snow again.
ReplyDeleteOh Brenda--Guess what?--- We ARE getting a ton of snow--- and happy that yu are on here-no matter what time it is-Lynda
DeleteLynda… you amaze me with how much you do. You are a one woman show! I laughed at your Siri comment and wanted to share a funny story about her. I didn’t realize she was listening in one day, because my phone had frozen, and I pushed a button to get it unfrozen. But, I opened her up instead. My husband and I were having quite the heated discussion when I said to him” You never listen to me!”… then Siri spoke saying “ well, you’re certainly entitled to your opinion !” What a shock. I’m still laughing over that. Praying that snow passes you by.
ReplyDeleteVicki from MA.
Vicki--- I heard of someone swearing also and she told them to watch their language--Funny eh?--- Lynda
DeleteVicki from MA - Oh that Siri story cracked me right up! I can just imagine your faces!!!
ReplyDeleteThat Siri Lady even knew my name--and Himself believes she is in the house somewhere--but--I do love now, to ask her anything-one smart Lady--*S* Lynda
DeleteIt's Kathy - seems I missed yesterday. Tom and I are decluttering too, mostly his stuff. He is a pack rat for sure. He puts things in various boxes and says "I'll need to go through these later" and later never comes. Some things are going to the Goodwill, others just need to be tossed. We've had 3 very full trash cans the last 3 weeks!
