I think you are the sweetest thing!

Hello there---  Man oh man! I am late posting--I am so sorry--  You see, we had MORE SNOW this morning--not a lot more--but--- it was snow--- and then, the accountant called--about our taxes---- AND---Himself has a refund coming--- and I owe less than $100-- NEVER HAS IT HAPPENED BEFORE! --So, I guess there are benefits to not working ---  and to have a few ailments going on--  I was so shocked--It blew my mind---Never in all our married years have we ever had a refund-----  I forgot everything--- I am so sorry--because I even forgot to blog!-----Crazy---

And, I was de-cluttering---getting ready for a move--to where, we do not know-- but--   every week, a very kind person drives out here and takes what ever I can load into her car--Bless her heart eh?---This week, a few long dresses  (which I will never wear again-)-and Christmas Decorations are going her way--plus some naked statues---- I must've purchased a zillion  figures of lovers  wrapping their arms around each other-, in my very younger years---plus lotza dog figurines----and a tall Doctor with a very long needle in his hand-- from Himself's office--  I guess I had way too much money in those younger days-

So, how is your day going?-- We certainly do not have very warm weather, but it is sunny-----Well, it was sunny--Looking outside now, there is more snow falling--

Maybe we just have to pretend it's spring--
One day it really will be-and those hummingbirds will be knocking at our windows demanding food--gee, I never thought----We might not even be here--I   must remember to leave the feeders full, and hopefully they will be refilled-----maybe instructions on where to find us--

Anyway--- make to-day a happy day---Be kind to your pets--and your family-- and YOU---

You really are you know!-----I hope when yu look in the mirror, you tell that person looking back at you
enjoy your day---

  1. Someone dropping by to collect your unwanted items is really a big help rather than you having to drive them into town each week to drop them somewhere. I just looked outside to see snow falling. Not too long ago the sun was shining. I feel sorry for all the robins that are here as they are expecting spring just like we are. A few more days and it will be April 1st so spring should be here soon. Enjoy your day.

  2. Yes, in the busy times, rest @ night is sooooo important. Just a time for body and mind to rest!

So glad you and Himself will get a refund! We will, too. . . and like you, that hasn’t happened in FOREVER!

How wonderful that you have someone who comes to you to take what you have decluttered! Awesome.

Our weather is the same . . . sunny but not warm. And moving towards rain and snow tomorrow night. THEN Friday . . . . thunderstorms, changing to snow. Sheesh.

HUGS my dear. Breathe. Be kind to yourself.

And don’t forget to give those fur babies some attention. I am sure they won’t let you forget that!

    Hugs

  4. Hello Lynda...Oh so true. You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have. Today it is snowing...a lot. Tomorrow we must drive to the city hospital and be there bright and early for my surgery. I hope it stops snowing. Think of me. I will be strong. Talk to you when I get home. Hugs, Willow

  5. I agree about the weather. The calendar says Spring, but the weather sure doesn't show it. Maybe by just a scotch ...then it goes back to cold. Not expecting snow here, but rain is forecasted for tomorrow.
It can be hard to let things go. I left so much behind when i moved here from Chicago in my small car...I understand.
If only Himself would not go after the dogs with the cane!!
We need to love and care for ourselves or we can't help anyone else!
    I think YOU are the sweetest thing! {{{HUGS}}}

  6. We have a sunny day here in NH today and the snow is melting ever so slowly. I did see Geese flying North the past two mornings when I was out walking the dog. There have been robin sightings but I personally haven't seen robins yet. Nice that someone is taking your stuff away as you sort it. I made a trip every week for about 5 months with my car full, I sold and gave a bunch of things away on Craigslist, and we still had to get a dumpster before the move. So happy to have that done. . . we downsized 5 years ago this Fall.

  7. Marti here again. Today, I was strong because I got through the horrible, awful moods of my coworker. She's NEVER happy, always grumping about something. And I'm stuck in a little room with her for the majority of the day!

  8. I also received a refund from both Federal and State taxes and can't remember last time it happened! I'll take what they offer and be happy! Driving today I saw the Redbud trees have started to bloom and my Hostas are popping up. Spring is slowly arriving! Now, if we could stop getting so much rain I will be a happier person but whatever is fine!

  9. At least someone is coming by to take away items you are decluttering,. Certainly is a help. The saying about being strong is so true. /when we have no choice that's what we have to be. Weather is crummy here today too. This morning was warm but this afternoon it starting raining a bit and as the temperature kept decreasing we had some snow. It also got really windy and the temp dropped from 9 above to below zero. Keep smiling!

  10. A refund IS exciting. We got one too and we NEVER get a refund. I wondered if our tax preparer made a mistake lol
How cool that you have someone to pick up your purged items. I donated to thrift shops weekly for months and had a charity pick up more and some furniture items. Cool that someone comes to you.
    Enjoy your day!
We finally have sun today although temps were freezing this morning.
    Hugs. YOU ARE THE SWEETEST!!!

  11. Some days are like that. Just too busy. We have been going through things too. I'm not much of a keeper but my husband is. He's tossing out things from 40 years ago! It feels good to have some extra space again! Kathy

  12. So sad to hear you had more snow! It was sunny and warmer today so I trimmed rose bushes and cleaned around my day lillies! How very nice that you have someone who comes to pick up your donations! Mine go in boxes that I eventually take somewhere - usually Good Will. I put the boxes in the garage until I am going to the town where the Good Will is. I do get a tax refund, but only because I have additional tax taken out each month - so I don't have to pay! And since you asked, my cats are great. They are both big! They will be 3 years old next month! They are a pain in the neck sometimes, but they are good company for me!

    1. I completely understand about the "pain in the neck" cats---but--as yu say, thy are good company--and they depend on your kindness-- Are yu de-cluttering also?--- hard eh?--- Hugs Sandra, Lynda

  13. Glad you have been getting rid of some extra things. We are lucky, groups come every month and pick up bags of things, but not heavy furniture. Little by little stuff gets removed, at least. You are working hard.

  14. Love the sunflower pic! Love sunflowers! Have several pictures here as they are my tribute to my hubby who fed the birds sunflower seeds and they in turn planted them all over our property! They were huge and beautiful! So I still feed those birds and still see gorgeous sunflowers each summer! Yes, I am decluttering. I have watched several very good videos on YouTube and have gotten some really good ideas! I am going to work outside in the yard today, though. My grass is out of control, but there is no way I can mow as the ground is a soggy mess and I would sink the zero turn mower in the muck! So more trimming of my bushes is on tap for today. We are supposed to have bad storms tomorrow - high winds, hail, and maybe tornado conditions - yikes! I too need to go to town for banana so I can't wait until tomorrow. What does Fred think about the decluttering project? Does he worry about getting rid of stufff?
