When will it ever warm up?

Someday it will be warm---Light snow falling here this morning  and it is VERY cold--AND WINDY! I had the "HERD"--of dogs outside this AM-- Poor little LOLA , the other Chihuahua , just cringed, and was lifting up each toe-- she was freezing! ---  I bought her a coat, but, it is just too small, so I shall return it and hopefully, if I take her with me, they can fit her with a new one.--- The rest of the HERD, did well--Of course Lopez has a coat!

So, did you watch the Oscars?-- I never do, but--I did last night--not all of it but, about half--and I did get a good laugh out of some of it-- The host was good --- and the dresses were nice , and I even recognized some of the actors and actresses. --and no more Vertigo so far,--- but I am very careful how I hold my head--no sudden movements--especially when I bend over-

I must admit, I would not recommend any of you--or anyone--to have 4 dogs- It is a full time job!-Lopez is the worst--Very jealous of Lola----  especially when I hold her!-- He is a very bitchy ('scute the expression!)- little dominate Chihuahua-- I watched a TV show last night about a  park who raises wolf cubs-When they are acting up (like Mr. Lopez)- the workers there,  pinch their nose and chin together and growl in their face--  I am doing that to Lopez  when I need to correct his behaviour, which seems to be most of the time .

This is a picture of the crew who flew the plane , from Tokyo, Japan, back to Toronto. 4 Pilots--with Son#2 one of the pilots ---- after a 13 hr flight, back home. They look like a good bunch of happy souls.
I thought the above quite true--   friends  do love you--- even when some days do not go quite right--

My piano---  a gift from my Dad---  my salvation--  well, I bought it, but with Dad's money that he left me--and there is never a time I don't remember Dad, when I sit down to play--

I must continue to change a few clocks---Someday, when the good Lord decides, it will be warm---  I hope it is soon--

Be strong---Avoid any sudden head movements ---and  stay happy---Lord love a Duck! --  remember---maybe we should repeat this to ourselves every day---

  1. Happy Monday! It is snowing and 32 here in Ohio! Hope it warms up here and for you very soonly! No, I didn't watch the Oscars. I was online shopping for bedding. It is very stressful to shop online for bedding and not be able to feel it. lol But, not much for local shopping near me so I will make my best guesses. Oh! The pilot boys look so happy! I know they had a great time there with the weather and food. Your piano is beautiful and what a nice gift from your father that you chose to spend the money on. Great purchase and memory of him. I can't imagine four dogs. When I had 2 for 10 years was a hand full and even one still is at times. Hope your vertigo decided to GO and stay away! Never had it before and hope it was just a brief spell. I remember your clocks and how many you have to change. I am sure you enjoy them. Hope you have a wonderful, warmer week!:)

    1. Our Daughter says it is cold in Ohio too--She is in Medina--Her husband works at the Cleveland clinic-- an ankle and foot surgeon--And yes, that is a good picture of the Pilots-- It almost makes one want to fly away with them doesn't it?--- Yes, too many clocks--- I still have to change the ones in the rec room --- because all I do is look after dogs right now---- Never have 4 dogs! LOLOL------And--no more Vertigo to-day but I am not bending my head-- at all--- Lynda

  2. Had more snow here overnight and this morning, too, but now . . . sun peeking through the clouds. Everything is a pristine white right now.

Yup, this cold, windy, snowy weather is hard on the fur babies I have an area dug out for Miss Lilly so she doesn’t have to climb over mounds of snow. She STILL will not wear booties! But she DOES wear the coat w/o a fight. At least that’s progress.

I am POSITIVE you have your hands full w/the critters. Huh, have to try that maneuver (pinching the nose and jaw together) on Miss Lilly when she misbehaves. The worst habit she has is raiding the wastepaper basket!

Jimmy Kimmel did a remarkable job hosting the Oscars. I didn’t watch the whole thing, either, but some. Saw Jamie Lee Curtis win best supporting actress for Everything, Everywhere, All @ Once. And Brendan Frasier winning best actor for The Whale. Apparently lots were disappointed that Angela Basset didn’t win for Wakanda. Ah well.

Nice picture! They look like a happy group. Safe travels back from Toyo.

Awwww, yes, friends love you when you forget to love yourself.

What a lovely piano bench! Mine is just wooden . . . no padding.

    Love the last meme.

HUGS and hope you’re dizziness is decreasing!

  3. Love the photo of your son and the other pilots. Yes, they sure look like a happy bunch! I'm with you in wondering if it will ever warm up. The 6 days of snow has finally come to an end and the sun is actually shining, but it is very cold here too. 200 miles north of us it's below 0. I can only imagine how challenging it is to have 4 dogs, all with different personalities. Sometimes I take Daisy's sister Annie who lives with my son and his wife - just adding one creates so much extra work. And Annie and Daisy love each other and are pretty quiet dogs! Good luck to you! Sounds like you're managing quite well.

  4. Lynda, I am happy you have had no more vertigo. Maybe it was just a reaction to stress?
Your house must be full of that stress, but laughter, too, with all those pets.
The sun is shining here!!!! So happy to see it. It is still kinda cold...25F, but very little wind...and no snow coming down.
I am about to head outside. Need to soak up some of that sun (even tho' I do take cal/mag/zinc with D3) and get gas in the car. I am almost down to 1/4 tank,
Your piano looks wonderful. I can still play a bit by ear, but years ago when mama wanted to have me take lessons, my step-dad made me quit. He didn't like to hear me practicing.
The pilots do look happy. That is good! Smiles all around. That photo made my day.
No food photos today, though. Maybe tomorrow.

  5. You are definitely busier than ever watching after 4 dogs!! Lola needs to put Lopez in his place…she needs to be boss lady! LOL. But since YOU are the big boss, keep your discipline program in place and show him you mean business….
Sure hoping that the vertigo was some weird thing that will not come back; glad that so far, so good, in that department!
Hope that you have had an OK day …❤️ Eissa7

  6. I had great hopes of Spring with the flowers blooming but now it will be a hard frost the next two nights so there they go! I've had the same vertigo the last two days and figure it is from allergies and some sinus problems. The trees haven't budded out all the way yet so I predict this isn't going away soon. Grrrr.

Love the 4 dogs - one is getting the best of me since I don't feel that good. Oh well, can't imagine life without him.

  7. Pilots look like a happy crew that gets along - which they really need to on such a long flight! Glad you're doing better now and hopefully the vertigo is gone. More clocks to still cjange - guess you'll have to start getting rid some before moving. It's hard to believe Lola doesn't already have a coat.Poor thing. I tried doing the face thing and my dog wasn't even interested to look at me! I love all the memes especially where it says"pray for the strength to endure a difficult one" Ain't that the truth! You certainly know about that! Glad you have your piano to help calm you when needed. Have a good evening,

  8. Like the happy pilot picture. They do look like a fun group.
I cannot imagine caring for 4 dogs. Egad. Lopez needs to knock off his nasty attitude. I bet you'll be glad when your son gets back. 4 dogs added to your workload.
Its COLD here too and gloomy for days. The daffodils will freeze tonight.
Happy clock changing for a while longer.
Your piano is pretty. I'm so glad you play it often. Maybe all 4 dogs will calm down if you serenade them.
Glad vertigo is back in check.
    Hang in.

  9. We had a nasty snowstorm here over the weekend, our store was even closed on Saturday. I shoveled out a lot around my car on Sunday when it was warm (-12C, 12F) but the car wouldn't budge. This morning when I tried it at -16C (3F), it did have traction, so I shoveled some more to get out to the street. I think we had about 6 inches, on top of what was already there. This is the most I can remember seeing here in the past 35 years. It got within a few degrees of freezing today, tomorrow will be above and maybe rain...
One more week until the calendar says spring, but I don't think that we will have it until April.

Good luck with the dog pack.

  10. It is quite chilly here in the Deep south...lol....all the rain I guess. One
of the trees in my neighbors yard fell over, just missing he house next to hers and also their storag shed....her brother came over and looked an
the on next to it is leaning toward her house and he says if it falls it will take off the bedroom and living room and basically destroy her house. So I referred her to a friend of ours who has done work for us3 or4 times and done well....he stopped by this morning and is going to mow our lawn for me for nothing because he really liked my

  11. One dog as a visitor is a lot... you have two... in addition to the regulars! Hang in there. The visit will end at some point. And life will return to normal.
