Half way---- to the weekend--- so nice to hear--LOL--- And it is International Women's day to-day--
To-day 2 Ladies are coming out--this morning --so hopefully they can send someone here to sit with Himself on Thursday afternoons -- I have had to move the dog crates upstairs as Lopez and big Beau will not like to see people coming in--same as Himself-- (but--I cannot crate Himself!--)--Himself does not want strange people coming in either--doesn't feel they are needed--but--He can have his afternoon rest when someone comes----if someone really does come! --and whoever does come would only stay 2-3 nrs once a week, so I can get my hair done and run some errands--So-----It has been a busy morning.
I have been crazy busy trying to get the house looking good--(for these Ladies-)-- taking care of Himself , who was pulling all kinds of stuff out of the charger, when I came in from taking Lopez out----had to tell him not to play with all that--He couldn't fit one end of a dog 's nail trimmer into the charger and had all kinds of ends to my phone--the iPad-etc etc--all over the kitchen--As Mom used to say, "I was fit to be tied"--- whatever that means-- --So---- I must not allow myself to "freak out" as my kids used to say-- Do not allow all this stuff to "get to me--"--not give it power--Lord love a duck!
I read something funny yesterday and I must tell you-- I thought of how sometimes people say things that you know, is not true-- I always want to tell whoever it is, they are not speaking the truth--but---- I don't---In my mind I know it's best to just let it go---"Never wrestle with stuff you know is not right"-- say nothing--- walk away--I think George Bernard Shaw says better--a bit brash----but does put a smile on one's face--
So, I am off of here-- We have sun, and temperatures just below zero-- I hope you do something crazy wonderful to-day--International Women's Day is a day to celebrate your life as a woman-To-day is a "gift of God"--- which is why WE CALL IT A PRESENT_

I sure hope that today results in you getting some help so you can get your hair taken care of and some chores done! Yes, Himself can take a rest while they are there.
ReplyDeleteMy Mom was skittish about unknown people coming into the house, but eventually she got used to it when we had home health care.
So sorry that Himself had the chargers all disconnected. **SIGH** What a thing to have to deal with, but . . . HUGS . . . you did.

DeleteThis morning as I sat mulling over the really big thing on today's To Do list and not looking forward to it, the thought "You're stronger than you think" came to my mind and I had to smile as I thought of all the times you've reminded me - and all the rest of your readers - that we're strong. And reminding us to BE strong. Thank you, Lynda. That really made my day. Did I finish that big thing? No, but I made very good progress that I'm pleased with, and tomorrow I'll complete it. I have to go through years worth of records online and on paper to find anything I can on one of my diagnoses. Like when, which doctor and anything relating to my condition like tests and such. Not an easy task, but I'm strong and I can scan stuff visually pretty quickly, luckily. I hope the ladies are a big help. And that Himself behaves himself - and you aren't tempted to crate him too! LOL! (That made me chuckle!) ❤️

DeleteJust had a vision of Himself in a crate next to Lopez and Beau…that’d solve a problem, for sure!! LOL….one of our grandkids used to like to get in his dogs crate and fall asleep….

DeleteIt's Kathy - I love the saying about the pigs. That's just perfect! I hope the ladies do come and can help so you can at least have an afternoon to take care of the things that need to be done! And I hope himself will be able to understand that you really need this time and he needs to have someone with him.

DeleteHappy to hear the 2 ladies will return. Giggled about putting DH in crate. I HOPE some kind of "sitter" situation is forthcoming so you can comfortably leave DH and dogs without fear of DH falling or worse. You need some alone time for hair, errands and doing whatever you want or need to do without having to rush back. Perhaps DH will play cards or engage in something he enjoys. Of course he doesn't want strangers in the house but he will adjust.

DeleteIt sounds dangerous...Himself playing with the charger. A dog's nail trimmer? What if he starts playing with putting things in electric outlets? Gotta watch him like a little child sometimes. At least he is still with you and has some good days.

I am sure Sadie keeps the house clean enough for visitors. I don't believe anyone minds a bit of clutter. We need to LIVE in our homes.
