Dress like you're going to meet your ex-boyfriend!

It is sunny--- cold--- but--a clear blue sky--The driveway is extremely icey-- The ice melts  in the afternoon, then refreezes  at night--I was told yesterday to throw kitty litter on the ice--- which sorta helps--  It is worse out by the gate as it runs into our driveway in the afternoon--then freezes again--Oh the joys of early Spring!

We change our clocks this weekend--SPRING AHEAD--That is a sure sign of a new season beginning--There is always something good happening--

Before I forget, Son#2, the Air Canada Pilot, is sitting in Montreal, readying that Dreamliner , to head to Tokyo, sometime after lunch--  He said they will have a "full house."  Just imagine going  to Tokyo ! --

Doncha  all wish that we all were going with him? Wouldn't that be just the best?-----Hopefully some pictures of food will  be coming  soon!

Son#2 sent this--------  AND--------the one below---------It looks just like Lopez---the wee fella!

So, guess what happened yesterday?---The 2 Ladies never came--said I had the wrong day--  Lord love a Duck! - They also  said it was my mistake---  maybe it was--but-----  I would never book it on a Thursday--knowing it is "THE HAIR DAY"- --but--  it doesn't really matter--It is  all rebooked---You know, I don't believe it will ever happen--that someone will actually come to my door and say, "Hello, I am here to help you!"----  LOLOL--  Lord love a Duck!--I think I would pass out! --
--and we must try to stay happy-- not worry about things which are beyond our power----We can only deal with to-day--right?---
There is so much goodness in this day, if I only look around--like----  IT IS HAIR DAY---- I get to dress up a bit--

 Himself seems pretty good so far this morning--Lopez is asleep which is peaceful---We have bananas---  and pizza for lunch----The winter is just about over--- The vacuuming is done--as is the wash--- We are alive-------and-----  to-day . later on, I get to read all year comments---Remember, to stay strong-- I know we all can!

  2. I hope that whenever the ladies do come that they will give you some help that will be more reliable than they are. It is nice to see the sun and it does make you feel so happy. Spring is on the way and I can't wait. Enjoy being pampered today, you deserve it . Take care .

  3. Enjoy your day out! Those ladies! I swear! Your pictures and descriptions of going to Tokyo make me REALLY want to go. I would love to board a plane and go, oh, just about ANYwhere. I'm trapped in my house for 3 more days. Being an introvert, it doesn't really bother me, except when I keep thinking, "oh, I could go..." and then remember, nope, can't do that! It's been forever since I've taken a vacation, since my husband was alive, he passed 10 yrs ago. And wasn't so well those last two years. It's not so easy to just jet off anywhere, not with a dog to board. And I never seem to have any "extra" money to do that. Just about when I do get some extra money, some bill comes reminding me that, no, I can't do that.

  4. It's Kathy. Sorry the women didn't come. My mom's "hair day" was Fridays and she went faithfully. That was her favorite day. Even when weather was bad she got in her car and drove to the salon! I've been to Tokyo - back in 1972 when my then husband was stationed in Korea. I got to meet him in Japan and loved every minute of it. Such culture!

  6. I believe we are all worth it, Lynda...or we wouldn't be here!
    I know you will drive very carefully on your hair trip.
    have bananas, too, but they're kinda dying. Almost ready to mash and freeze for banana bread.
    The weather here is about the same as you described. Puddles over ice. We are under a winter advisory alert, but they keep lowering the amount of snow we are do to get. Now it's 1-3 inches. It's very windy outside now.
    I got all my purchase this morning so I could stay in for a few days. The snow is to be on and off all weekend.
    But after the weekend...it will be the middle of March! Like you say, dear...almost spring...St Paddy's Day, Easter, Mother's Day...LILACS and other flowering trees...and bugs.
    The system wouldn't just let me edit my most, so I am doing it again.
    It's a shame your helpers did not come!!! It WILL happen, Lynda...we must believe! {{{HUGS}}}
    Well, most of it is wonderful, right? {{{HUGS}}}

  7. It makes you wonder if the ladies really want to help.! Hopefully next time works out. Japan, wow that's a long way from here. He sure gets around which is good for someone who loves a variety of food like he seems to. Little dog looks like Lopez. Enjoy your trip to get your hair done! And be careful of the ice.

  9. Yes, we change our clocks this weekend, too. Will miss the hour sleep, but so worth it for spring to arrive!

    Safe travels to DS and his flight to Toyko.

    Lord, so sorry that the appointment for help is yet again toast. Glad it’s rescheduled, but . . . HOPE that the next meeting happens! It really does sound like those ladies are not committed to their mission. **SIGH**

    Hope you enjoy your hair pampering.

    Glad that DH is pretty good today! That makes life easier a little.

  10. Hope by now you've had a good hair day! Sigh. I keep waiting for them to stop messing with the clocks, but they keep putting it off, another year, or failing to pass the issue. Problem is that nobody can agree which time to stick with!

    Safe skies to Son #2... gee it would be fun to travel again. I wonder if I'd be ready... maybe next year?
