STAY POSITIVE_-It's good for your soul!

We have sunshine --bright sunshine-- NO SNOW FALLING---but--I hear Southern Ontario really got the snow---FINALLY NOT US!

You know, I remember as a kid, when we lived in London, Ontario, there seemed to be many blizzards- London is a real snowbelt-- I don't remember ever complaining about the snow. How life changes as we are older-- We always had snowsuits-- and out we went, and we played a game called, "Blizzard"--I loved the snow! All you have to do when you play Blizzard" was run around in the snow, look up at the sky with your mouth open, and shout, "BLIZZARD"---(kinda crazy eh?)-  The snow seemed really deep , but of course we were small---  so we made tunnels in that deep snow ---

I tell my kids about the game of "Blizzard"--They aren't impressed--of course we had no computers then--nor i Phones--so it didn't take much to entertain us--Do you remember what silly games you used to play, when you were young before all the electronics were even thought of?--

-- Well, I really don't do that, and I hope I never get to that stage--  There is so much to do in the morning here-- I  do turn on the TV in the kitchen tho , to make sure the world is OK---that Ukraine is still there---to check on the weather--   What would we ever do without a television ?--The TV is in the background as I feed dogs-- change their water bowls--get the wash in the washer and then the dryer before 7am--and take out the dogs--

AND--the VERY BEST PART--  I think ---We have found a house----  with a short driveway --IN TOWN--SMALLER--ONE LEVEL--with a yard----  Good things are going to happen! --I always felt it would happen----sometimes you just have to believe--

--So, it is time to take the dogs out AGAIN_--I hope that your day is going well--You certainly deserve your love and affection!

Always ---stay positive ---

  1. My two sisters and I mostly played board games. We loved the operation game. Lol Ohhh! I hope this house works out. So excited for you! It is sunny in Ohio today! Yesterday, heavy rains and wind all day! Even blew our heavy Webber grill across the deck. Enjoy your day!:)

  2. Yes, I used to love the snow too. Even when my children were young because they always wanted to go outside and play (a little quiet time for mom). But not any more. Now it's just a problem. Although I don't mind the days that it's snowing all day - perfect for staying home and reading! Have a great day! Kathy

  4. I grew up in a suburb of Chicago and I remember putting on snowsuits and playing in the snow! I also remember playing "kick the can" and something I think was called "cornball" (played with a broomstick and small cork ball).....also a lot of jumping rope and bike riding! Sad to say kids today aren't allowed to play outside unless under the watchful eye of a parent as things have changed in our world! So happy to hear that you have a "prospective new home" to move to! Keeping you in my prayers that it all works out for you!

  5. Only thing I really remember is making snow angels. Never been a real fan of winter or snow - I'm a summer girl. Boy did we get a lot of snow last night - felt like I was up north with your type of snowfalls! I'm really glad that you found a house that hopefully works out for you guys. Then you can will be able to stop worrying about that and focus on selling your place. Positive vibes!! Have a good night.

  6. I do hope things go well with the smaller one-level house... it could really be a solution to "next steps" for you and himself. No snow here at the moment, in fact it's going to be sunny and warm tomorrow and we shall celebrate Carl's 4th birthday!

  7. OMG! Kick the can, hide and seek, catch me if you can, tag. Anything that allowed us to stay outside, even in the cold weather was fair game. Yup . . . then you get older! LOL OH yes, and making snow people and snow angels.

OH my. So glad that you have potentially found a new-to-you house! So happy for you.

Hugs and all the very best!

  8. I remember we played hide & seek all day until the street lights came on, then our parents would call us to come home. Snow angels were my favourite in the winter and we always got lots of deep snow, it really was deep back then, Lynda.

I'm so happy you found a smaller house!! It sounds ideal, a nice yard for the dogs is wonderful too! I'm excited for you, you'll be able to purge your home, give your kids a lot of things, give away or sell things, that's awesome!!

We had that storm last night and it got called Thundersnow because we got snow, ice, rain, wind, thunder and lightning! Isn't that something? Never have we had such weather and I know it's climate change doing it. I feel concerned for little ones such as my great grands, future!

But, today is a lovely day with blue sky and beautiful sun!!
I'm happy for you about the house!!
Love & Hugs to you, Fred, Beau, Sushi and Lopez xoxo

  9. You found a house! I knew it would happen. Don't just take any one, though. Make sure it's perfect. Room for the piano? Room for guests to sleep? Large enough kitchen? Any updates needed ( appliances, etc,)?
    Enough closets and storage?
I am so happy for you! We have no snow, either. Mostly cloudy though, but in the mid 30sF'
I googled how far apart we are. It's over 500 miles. I was going to try to figure out how to visit you in the summer. Oh, well. Now you may not have room for me.
I told Lucky I would never leave him again, however. When I returned from Hawaii last year in the midst of the rehab of our building, I couldn't find out which apartment he was in and who he was being cared for. I panicked. Never want to go through that again. Living in the apartment by myself without him is unthinkable to me!
    Another limerick:
I once fell in love with a blonde,
But found that she wasn't so fond.
Of my pet turtle named Odle,
whom I'd taught how to Yodel,
So she dumped him outside in the pond.

  10. Sending good vibes to you about the house. I really hope it works out for the two of you because it sounds like what you need.

It's still cold here, but no snow yet. March is our snowiest month normally here in Colorado, but our whole winter it's been snowy.

  11. I'm so happy about your potential one level house. Hoping you get to see it soon and its what you want!
We played hide and seek a lot. Winter was snow angels and snow ball fights, building snow forts etc.
    Hope you day was good.

  12. I am so happy that you think you have found a one story house in town. That is wonderful news. My dad and the man next door would put an ice rink in our back yard so we were able to skate during the winter.
