You learn and you learn--

It is a Special day--Match 10th--  Great people were born to-day---like our son in law----AND--Son#3---who is going to leave his 2 dogs with Gramma (that's me)- for a week---Lola and Apollo--- Lola has big time attitude, which might be good for Lopez, who thinks he is  King--Lola will tell it as it is with him!--She is another older Chihuahua---Even big Beau does not mess with Lola-- I'm not sure how to keep them all away from Sushi, the upstairs cat--- who , by the way, is supposed to go to the vet to-day for some booster shots----  I really want to help Son#3 as he comes faithfully and trims our dog's nails--without me ever asking! --so,  for a week, we will have 5 animals in this house-- Lord love a Duck eh?--  BUT----I just feel it will all work out--

There is a big snow storm hitting southern Ontario I hear--NOT HERE! I believe the good Lord finally gave us a break! ---We have had way more than our share of snow , which is now very icey---

I managed to get to the hair Lady yesterday--  I do not look like a Zulu Woman anymore--whatever that is! It is amazing how a hairdo  lifts your spirits-
i was digging thru papers  here, and found my favourite verse in the whole world.  I realized when I read it, years and years ago, the truth  in what I was reading--I try to live this -- --  re-read it often--because, I truly believe --"You learn to Build all your roads on to-day"----because---to-morrow's ground is too uncertain for plans and futures have a way of falling down in mid flight"-----"And you plant your own garden and decorate your own soul instead of waiting for for someone to bring you flowers"
-------"and you learn that you can endure, that you really are strong, and you really do have worth--- and you learn and you learn"----------

That about says it all----We can be strong people----because----We have to be----We hold up  so much of the world---

  2. OH boy! That will be indeed interesting w/5 fur babies but maybe Lola WILL be good for Lopez.

Hand up here, too, in response to being tired of the snow. Had 9 in. dumped on us overnight, and still snowing . . . probably 1-2 inches. Enough is enough, Mother Nature!

Happy to hear that you were able to get to your hair appointment. It really DOES lift the spirits to have hair pampering.

What an EXCELLENT poem. Printing it out. Great reminder.

    And .. . . love you a lottle, too.

Here’s to a good weekend. AND happy birthday to the birthday boys!

Should be interesting if Lola puts Lopez in his place. We're getting some snow today but not real heavy. Hopefully the last time! And glad you're not getting any. Nice postings. Maybr you have a birthday party to go to later! Have a good day.

  5. Happy BD to son and son in law. 4 dogs will be a lot of dogs. Sushi will take care of herself. She'll likely hide out.
    Loved the poem. So true.
Glad you got out for hair.
Did you get any answers from the ladies as far as someone staying with himself?
Cold and rainy in St.Louis again. Looks like we're stuck in cold/rain for the next couple of weeks.
    BD party to go to?
You're the best. Take care. Play your piano.

  8. Lucky you, Lynda...with all those animals! I've thought that I'd rather be with animals than some people I know. Sushi will endure...probably hide alot. She's mostly upstairs, right? Maybe you can keep the dogs out of there.
A friend from work years ago left me little 8x8 plaques to hang: Remember yesterday, Dream tomorrow, Live today. Your verse kinda reminds me of that.
I love you a lottle, too, Lynda...and all of your FANDAMLY! (that's how an old partner called her family.)
A few more days of winter weather. Guess the groundhog was right. It'll be just 6 weeks. Hope you son and his have a safe, happy time on their trip.
It's over 500 miles between us...might come and visit yet. Seeing the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) is on my to do list. I have heard, though, that in upper Minnesota one can see them, too.
