A Storm is brewing somewhere--

We must have a really nice day to-day-----because---  there is a storm brewing somewhere, due to hit us Friday and Saturday--30 to 50 cm of snow--hard to believe eh?

Somewhere between then and now, 2 of the 4 dogs, the visitors--are returning home-- to "THEIR" home!  They really have been very good-- but, 4 dogs, is a lot in any house--and I'm sure they will be happy to see their caregivers.

The above pictures were taken by Son#2, at his cottage-- snowplowing  his drive in--- before the storm hits there.  Hopefully I don't have to break out our snow blower  in this storm--but, I sorta know--I will have to--Lord love a Duck!

This morning on the news, I heard of banks going under--airlines  having  financial problems--So, I spent time going over our finances, making sure things are paid and we will have enough $$$ to eat--I never ever used to worry about that-- Things seem all on the positive side--Praise the Lord! --But, I still worry--We need to live on a smaller scale--which, hopefully will happen soon! ---The last few years have been different--  the Pandemic----- the numerous vaccines, the high cost of just living, Himself not his usual self--(but much better than he was at first as I have adjusted)--getting used to doing everything--like "blowing snow"--   Did you ever think how our lives have changed?----  a war in Ukraine--to top it all off----  It seems like I could go on and on--

But---- You know what?---  We are  alive---  We must be strong --all of us, to cope  with everyday--and we are!--- Do you ever just stop and think about all this?--
So, my message to-day is to  "keep going on"----

Life is too short to be anything but happy---- Let go of what you can't change--Love truly---Great advice isn't it--- and we must be doing all the above, because we are still here, aren't we?---

  1. Ohhhhhh my goodness. 30-50 cm of snow. Definitely NOT welcome. AT least you’ll be down to 2 dogs, and Sushi!

Yes, as we age, our abilities and needs change. Hard to adapt sometimes, but doing our best.

Yes, so many things happening w/the bank failures, pandemic, weather, living costs. YIKES. Need to get in my Zen place sometimes just to get away from it all!

Indeed, we DO live through it! Praise be. Staying strong.

    Hugs and peace

  2. Dog sitting my sons dog also, but with my 2 that makes 3. One of my dogs,a chewinnie, is overpowered by the 2 big dogs, but she refuses to give in. My neighbor says the chewinnie is a tom boy holding her own. Since I also babysit my 14 month old granddaughter, I know how you feel with a full house. You are one strong woman braving it all. Wish I had your strength as I’m complaining without the added stress of snow and himself. Hope Spring arrives soon for you!

  3. Carl's gone home, the cats are back "in charge" and I'm playing the recover from all the excitement game. The older we get the more of these things we have "survived", and hopefully that means we know what's really important and we don't panic as much as we might have back when we were in our twenties, eh?

Sending hopes for Spring's arrival, and soon, even in the North!

  4. Lynda, you always remind us to be strong. Yet while mentioning the challenges, you focus on the positive....the good stuff. I agree.
Have the ladies rescheduled? Did you really find a house?
I am happy Himself is better.
You will have less chaos soon with extra dogs going home.
We are due for another winter storm...up to 7 more inches. Just when everything had started to melt.
    We will survive! {{{HUGS}}}

  5. I sure do hope the extra dogs go home soon. They are a lot for you to handle on top of your other many tasks.
I love your positive attitude. We can not control nor change others and so much is out of our control. Stay strong.
Hoping your snow does not appear.
    Play your piano.

  7. Another 30 - 50 cm? Gosh you guys have really had it this year. Was everyone nasty to mother nature? Ask you son to come and help with the snow - it is too much for you too do it all. And the pilot has gone from warm weather to the snow - how far is his cottage from you guys. Glad the other 2 dogs will be going him soon. I'm sure Lopez and Beau will be happy about that. Apparently our banking system is totally different to the American system so we supposedly don't need to worry about what is happening. Just stay strong and don't worry about it. Like your last couple of memes. Relax tonight.

  8. You are so right when you say life is too short to be anything but happy. These last few years have brought things that I never expected to see but we are strong and can deal with them. I can't imagine that you are getting that much snow again. Hopefully you will get some help from your son. Hugs.

  10. Same here with the weather. We've been in the 60's and even hit 70 today, but by tomorrow morning it'll be 32 and snowing. Mother Nature is making sure to remind us that it's still winter.
