International Women's Day to-morrow--

Isn't the above so true?--I always panic when something stops working--but--  sometimes I do remember to turn whatever off-- unplug it--and it usually does start up again-----  AND----- when I go to do something and my mind goes blank sometimes, (It must be "old age" eh?)--when I calm down and think about it , my memory returns on "how to"--again--Does this happen to you?

Anyway---  big Beau, Himself, and I got to town with Beau yesterday --to the groomer--and he looks great ---

As I told yu before, we have to tether him in the back seat , WITH HIMSELF beside him---  so he cannot get up to  the front seat--  That tether is the one used for baby car seats--to hold them in place--Every car has them --He must've had a lot of loose fur which was  combed out of him--because he looks so good this morning.--  He doesn't return to the groomer now for 2 mos--  I told him, and he said he was pretty happy  to hear that!

Beau is such a gentle boy--  No matter how much Lopez chews on his legs, he will not bite Lopez.--I wish he would do something to Lopez  to stop his  craziness, but, he will not. He has always  had a heart that skips a beat --"A FIB"-- was treated for it as a puppy , but not on any meds now--His best buddy was Tess, another Shepherd , who has passed on to the great beyond-
But--I do remember him as the cutest puppy ever--

Anyway, to-day is sunny--cold and windy--icey outside also--

To-morrow is "International Women's day".  What are you going to do to celebrate--the day of the mighty woman--?---  What on earth would the world be like, without  women to soften  life ?----Who would  take on children---babies--teenagers--  keep the home fires burning?----  live with a Chihuahua? ----(at 94 yrs?)--  play the piano?----  hug their husband  at 94 ?---- --- Life would not be the same would without woman--a strong  person--?

"Stop worrying--period !------I worry about everything--- even though I know better!   "The world keeps spinning whether people understand you or not, so why not make this next trip around the sun about you?"------  so true eh?----  not my words, but  true! --- Women do hold up half the sky---

I hope, in someway, you will celebrate to-morrow------ It will be International Women's Day--Maybe dance around the kitchen---go out to eat-- be a tad crazy-- enjoy life------Lord love a Duck! Too bad everyday isn't International Women's day!

  1. Beau is such a handsome dog with a sweet and gentle temperament. Maybe some day his temperament will rub off on Lopez. I worry about things that haven't happened yet also and quite often it was for nothing. I suppose it is human nature because I can't seem to stop doing it. Enjoy your day.

  3. Beau is such a handsome dog - and very patient with Lopez! If it's still icy, be careful walking them. But it's one day closer to spring. Here's hoping you won't have much more shovelling or blowing snow! Have a good day.

  4. Beau is big and gorgeous and such a gentle boy. And yes, the cutest puppy ever. Lopez is a rascal all around. Poor Beau. Im surprised Beau tolerates Lopez biting on him. Glad Beau did well on his trip. He sure looks handsome.
    Everyday is womens day lol.
Worry isn't productive as most things we can't control or change. Worry sucks my energy.
Have a great day. Play your piano.

  5. We women do deserve to be celebrated, and we all need to treat ourselves and each other with kindness everyday.
As for worry, I worry too, but someone once said to me, "don't bleed before you are cut", and I try to remind myself of that when I get a little out of control. :)

  6. Glad you, Himself, and Beau had a successful trip to the groomers yesterday…he is such a great family member, isn’t he?! Our movers are coming tomorrow morning…I think I’ve packed about 9,000 boxes! All of our belongings are being stored for the next 4 months and we are living in a furnished rental while the home we bought is being totally remodeled from floor to ceiling….that is how I shall spend my Women’s Day! And, yes, I am a professional worrier just like you!! ❤️ Eissa7

  7. Oh, yes, I remember Beau as a puppy, when Tess was watching over his growing up! Too bad Beau doesn't puppy-train the never to seem like an adult to him Lopez! I'll bet he feels better for having been to the groomer's.

I have no particular plans for the International Day of the Woman, but dancing at the edge of my mind is the thought of buying a "just because" bouquet at the grocery store. There's a special on, $5 off for "members".

Life is good. Hope your Tuesday is a fine one!

  8. I have something rather humorous to report. I had said earlier I was not worried about COVID, had all my shots, and that was that. Well, it seems it was running rampant around our little 13 worker office. One guy is in the hospital with it (but he's compromised, he's got muscular dystophy or something and is in a wheelchair). Another lady was out sick Monday, and two others. Welp, I was right up close to these people on Friday. On Monday I went in at 9:30 and at 10 I started feeling not so good, scratchy throat, cough. One lady was sick as a dog last week but won't wear a mask, won't believe she may have had it because her "symptoms didn't fit, thinks COVID and vaccines are all a crock." She's already had it, thinks it's no big deal. Anyway, we were all tested, those of us who had been ill or who felt ill, and I tested negative. I stayed home today, feeling worse, then got really hot, and I tested. I tested THREE times. I was positive all three. Well, I knew we were all gonna come down with it eventually, I guess it was my turn. I don't know what all went down in that office today, but they are letting everyone go home until Monday.

    1. Isn't that weird? When I had it-I thought it was just an allergy--Our daughter tested me--It was negative--so--I went to the family reunion-- When I was treated the next day--I was positive --and I spread out to all the people at the family reunion-Crazy--Lynda

  9. I have a thought on worrying - I really don't do it too much - I've read that if you're a worrier, set aside maybe 15 minutes or so, and worry all you want. Worry about everything. And then, don't worry for the rest of the day. Try that! It might help! :)

  10. Don’t worry about worrying, lol. It’s a natural thing that humans do, to protect themselves. Do not not let outside forces shame you for being human. Enjoy your day otherwise, always chores to be done. No rushing. Any shopping to do today? We have allergy stuff going on, so many trees are spewing, plus mold from humidity. Take care.
