Life is like a puzzle--

It is a new day--  cool- windy--- but that just might blow away the black flies-- I see the sun is out now--

So, yesterday was just crazy---  what with getting our name on a list for a "rental"-- getting this house online--"Realtor.ca---Elliot Lake", Ontario--  It is now listed, online, and yu will recognize  this house--  lovely pictures----I went to bed late (for me)-

Isn't the above so true?-- when you are young, you just want to fit in--the older yu are, it's like--"Who cares"----  Do whatever yu  need to , to get on with yer day--and if you have crazy friends, they laugh along with you---and, we all need to laugh---let loose---
I have to get big Beau and wee little Lopez out ----Poor wee fella could not figure out all the black flies attacking him when we were walking before dinner---I had to bring him in, and put him in the tub, to help him relax and forget the bites--

Yesterday we bought bananas--They certainly do not last long here before just looking so bad--I tried to not buy as many yesterday--and, we made it to the Nursery where I bought some gorgeous plants--Now the grass needs cutting--and repaired in spots--  always  a lot to do---Oh my goodness, I just heard there is a chance of frost here tonite-
You need ,"piles of smiles"--to get thru your day---I shall send you  smiles and more smiles---when things seem to be going the wrong way,  I hope that you just open this email and SMILE ---- because YOU CAN DO IT--YOU CAN DO ANYTHING___

Eventually all those pieces of your life will come together!

  1. I looked at the listing and loved the pictures. It is beautiful but agree that it is too much for you to take care of anymore. I got tired just looking at the yard and all the grass - it also isn't an easy yard to mow with it not being flat. Lots of hugs going your way for all you have to handle. How is Himself taking the fact that it is now on the market?

  2. Same here about the bananas - I have been buying fewer so that I don't waste them....I hate it when they get soft and mushy - sometimes I feeze them at that point, but already have a couple of containers in freezer so now I must eat them or throw them out hahaha!
So glad that you finally have advertising signs listing your house for sale! And happy that you have a temporary solution of renting if your house sells! Aound here, lots of places won't take renters with pets so hopefully you won't have that problem in your area!

  3. Checked out the listing and your property is beautiful but too large for one woman to be looking after. I know it will be hard to give it up but when you are in a smaller place that is easier to care for you will be happy. I got rid of a lot of things when I sold my house and strange as it seems I didn't miss them. It just felt good to have less work and a few things that mean the most. The pieces of your puzzle will come together. Sending piles of smiles!

  4. Hi Lynda: Love today's inserts. Poor Lopez. When I lived up north - still south of Sudbury the black flies didn't seems to bother my dog - probably because she has very thick fur, also an undercoat! Your house looks real nice. Being on the lake should be a good selling feature. An awful lot of work for you though. Hope eveything works out.

  5. It's Kathy. I'm not sure I can find your listing but I'm going to try. You've had so many lovely years there by the lake. I understand that life moves along and we just have to move with it. Today my husband and I talked about where to go because this house is getting to be too much to take care of. Plus we have some really awful neighbors. But one day at a time!

Poor dogs with those black flies.
You are RIGHT as banannas dont last. I only get a few but then I'm going for more often. Oh well.
House is gorgeous but oh so big. Ditto for that yard.
Hang in. The puzzle pieces will come into place.

  8. Lynda, you do a good job remining happy and positive and helping us do the same! Can you get stuff to put down the pup's back or something that will repel the flies? Maybe call the vet for advice?
I saw my first fly here today. It was black. I don't know any color. Probably not completely accurate, but we call them house flies. Come to think of it, there are deer flies and horse flies, too. Deer flies bigger, but slender. Horse flies just huge!
Here it's been like 80 or more F and warm enough at night to keep the windows open. I love it.
Tomorrow I am driving my 'big sister' and a friend to Mystic Lake casino. I've only been to a casino twice. I will win big.
