Make It A Great Day

We have sun----with mega black flies--NO RAIN---- which is not good---There are fires--not close to us, but--in time---yu never know how quickly they will travel--I have never experienced this in all the years we have lived here.--- There are fires in Alberta---and,  in the city of Halifax--around Sudbury--which is only 2 hrs away--There is a fire ban in this whole area.

We have mosquitoes--with the Black Flies--I usually have  bug zappers in one room on each level of this house--Yesterday I asked Himself if he could change the batteries in the bug zappers---  He seemed to be working on them--- but---  (Isn't there always that "big Butt?")---this morning when I went to chase an enormous mosquito with one of the zappers--nothing happened--I asked him if he changed the batteries and he replied, "No, I threw them all out. We need new ones."----So, that is what I was doing before I sat here---  retrieving  those things from the garbage --changing the batteries--and chasing a few flying bugs--

Beau  has an infected ear--It looks quite sore---the groomer noticed it---i have some ear antibiotic --stopped at the vet yesterday after picking him up from the groomer--and we are treating it--It is probably from the lake--

Each day brings   different challenges---  I guess that is what life is all about.--- Interesting what it says below--- It is so true! I believe weare smarter as we age--Life teaches us lessons--

I had a call from  "Retirement Living" about a house to rent-- available Sept. 1st--We shall do a "drive by"---  Our hands are tied however until this house is sold--and it's not looking good right now--I am trying to just accept what is going on --and deal with it all-- that all will fit into place in time--but---- will it?-
It is another hot day beginning-- --and speaking of accepting stuff----  this cow kinda says it all--LOLOL--
STAY STRONG----and--get on here with your day------WE - will only see this day to-day--so, MAKE IT A GREAT DAY!

  2. Aww, I really liked the Cow!! And the one below it too, because I read a thing the other day that said something along the same lines. You can do stuff about things you can control or that's in your power to do stuff about, but if it's something you can't control, don't waste time on it and don't imagine stuff about it because you can make yourself suffer an awful lot over something that might never happen. Like my partner and our house. Every day for 3 years we feared a knock on our door and someone telling us to get out. That knock never came. We had our day in court and settled, THEN had to pay the lawyers. Both parties and that's the mortgage I'm still paying on. But next year, that will be history too. But all that stress we went through ... I wish I could go back in time and whisper 'it'll be okay' in our ears. So, deal with Beau, cope with that crazy man in your house, and just keep being the strong person you are. ❤️

  3. Don't give up hope just when you think your house won't sell it does. Happened that way with us twice. You could try lowering the asking price on yours to get more interest. . .I know nothing about house prices where you are but I am sure the boys do. Our black flies are gone (they have a short season here in Southern NH but now it is on to mosquitoes (which aren't really too bad) and the dreaded deer fly which stays most of the summer. . .and of course the ticks are awful this year. Remind me again why I wait so long for Summer to come?
Just finished watering everything . . .takes me almost 2 hours to give everything a good drink. We haven't had much rain recently and it is supposed to be 84 today and 91 tomorrow. Hope Beau feels better soon.

  4. poor Beau. Hope his ear clears up real soon. If the house looks promising I would check out bridge financing if that is needed. Love the sayings especially the getting older one. Have a good day & lets hope the fires stay away from you. Hugs

  5. It's Kathy. My little Daisy has some ear issues going on too. I'm thinking it's all the heat and humidity that we've had these last couple of weeks. It's like we went from winter to summer overnight. How awful about the flies. This year we are expecting more mosquitos than usual but my solution is to just stay in the house! I hope all goes well with your home sale!

  6. Loved the inserts today. Glad himself "fixed" the bug zapper lol
Poor Beau. Hope meds fix him up quickly.
I'm excited that you'll drive by a possible rental. Wont matter if yours sells if you are downsizing to a rental. Your realtor should guide you in appropriate pricing for your home. Normally the most activity on a new listing happens quickly...like the first week. Hoping you'll consider rental as winter won't be too far once September hits.
    Hang in

  7. Hope you had new, fresh batteries. I don't like it when I run out.
The realtor has had no one else to look at your house? Is there still stuff that needs doing? It sure has what the rehab shows say is "curb appeal."
Lynda, my kids always got ear infections when they swam. I would mix hydrogen peroxide and put a few drops in their ears when the came in. Checking the web now, it says you can use equal portions of water and vinegar OR 3% hydrogen peroxide. That's as a preventative, of course, not to treat an infection.
I'm getting off my duff and doing a Sadie thing today: laundry, vacuuming, floor washing...and I gotta figure out how to take off my A/C cover. The maintenance man put it on last September.
    Gotta get to it! Let us know about the house(s) {{{HUGS}}}

Sorry Beau has an ear infection. **SIGH** Poor fur babies can’t tell us when something hurts. Glad he’s being treated and hope he feels better quickly.

  12. I hope Beau is doing better. It's hard to see them with a problem. The yorkie I lost in January was 10 and it seemed like he had off and on problems. My 7 year old female has been very healthy. Thank goodness. I didn't know there were zappers that took batteries. My mom would get after my two sisters and I with a green fly swatter. I can only imagine one with batteries! lol It's still early with your house listing so it will all turn out. It's really hot in Ohio this week. I have been watering every day. Hope you are enjoying your evening.
