Happy to have y'all in my life!

It is the first day of-SUMMER to-day----WooWoo! ---You got to love "summer"!---It is also Miss Sophia's  16th Birthday to-day---(our Grand daughter who lives in Ohio)---Imagine being 16 again!---

We are up and Lopez and Beau have been out--It will be another hot day-lots of mosquitos descended upon us , as we walked this morning- I wore the bug hat and jacket, but somehow they still get under the mesh hat---The temperature is going up around 30C again to-day--Yesterday I was trimming the bushes , along the stairs heading down to the lake , and in my bug suit, and the heat , was just terrible---with that sun beating down----I did not feel well when I climbed the hill, coming back to the house--over heated I guess!

Watching the news this morning, and hearing of that submersible, with the people in it, which is lost in the ocean, I bet those people will never want to do that again--Would you ever go down in a thing like that?-Life to me is so precious----  too precious to risk  it doing that, to me!--But, life is an adventure to many people--- are you one of those people?

To-day is the first day of SUMMER----  and we are going to enjoy it together!---laugh, swing  and  make sure we smile--ALL DAY!-- I am happy to have you all in my life--so happy that where ever yu live, we can chat and share our lives----happy that you were born and somehow we got together--
and you know what?--Maybe it's OK that we might stay in this house another year--who knows?--

  1. Happy Birthday to Sweet Sixteen Sophia! Hope she has a wonderful birthday!

    Mosquitoes – absolutely hate ‘em!

Nope, definitely would not PAY to go in a submersible nor a space ship and you couldn’t PAY me to go on either, as well. Perfectly happy on terra firma.

    Happy first day of summer.

    Hugs

  2. It will be 82 in Ohio today. Happy Birthday to your sweet Sophia! I will yell to her 45 minutes away. I bet she hears me! Lol Yes, terrible those people are missing. NO! I would not do that adventure! I will not fly or anything that I lose being in control. Too afraid! My NAVY retired husband said he would love to do that! He is too adventurous! Happy Summer! Let’s make it a fun one!

  3. I agree - no subs for me. Looking back I did things that seemed logical at the time but dangerous now - shame those people didn't learn in their older years. The mosquitos are why I built my screened in porch but that doesn't get any yard work done. I really need to be weeding but the body doesn't think I should. Oh well. Weeds have to live too - at least that's my theory now. D

  4. My you are one busy lady - cleaning windows and trimming bushes! I, too, trimmed a couple of bushes yesterday - but not in a bug suit! There was sweat running down my face and into my eyes and it stung!
I kept going and cleaned up my mess and was so happy to get into the AC - I did not realize the temperature had climbed to 90 degrees! No wonder I was so hot! I think I had a little heat exhaustion too! Happy sweet 16 to your precious granddaughter!
I have been praying for those people lost in that little submarine thing - and no, I would never get into one of them!

  5. No, no, no, I would never risk my life to go on something like that sub, far too risky and look at the cost of it! Both money and lives! I really hope they find them and before their air runs out! Just off the coast of Canada, but so hard to pinpoint their location. :(

I like summer, Lynda, just not the heat. At one time it was great but maybe it's my age plus climate change, I just can't take it.

I don't envy you having to wear that hot bug suit!! Be very careful coming up that hill to the house, it can take your breath away.

Happy Birthday to your granddaughter Sophia, 16 is a magical age to be!!

You do love your home, it's just that you need help with the outside work and maybe a bit of help inside too. Might be worth hiring someone?? Then you'd enjoy staying there.

Love to you, Fred and the fur babies. xoxo

  6. It's Kathy - we are getting to 90+ today. I went out about 9:30 am to plant a few plants I had gotten, in the shade, and I was so wet by the time I was done - only 20 minutes. And Daisy was not happy at all! Looked at me like I was torturing her - she wants to be in the house by an air conditioner vent! She's the smart one I guess. My son visited his dad who lives up north in a wooded area. He was wearing something like your bug suit so he could take the dog for a walk! Reminded me of you. I'm sure you were overheated - I just can't be outside for more than a few minutes when it's this hot! Hope you have a great day! How is himself doing after his surgery?

  7. Loved your happy vibes today
Did not love that you struggled a bit to get back up the hill after trimming bushes..
Happy BD to dear Sophie.. will she be coming with your daughter next month?
Is DH continuing to do well after his procedure?
Your mosquitoes and bugs sound dreadful. Enjoying the summer with those pests is challenging.
Sure wish you had more help outside. Be careful out there.
Enjoy today. Smile and play your piano.

  8. Yay summer! My favourite season - I love the heat! I guess the black flies are gone with the heat and now the mosquitoes are making up for them. I feel real bad for those people in the sub. It's not sounding promising for them right now; I would never do something like that. I think it's fine if you stay in your house providing you get helo with the outdoor work - especially in the winter. Don't know how well himself would adjust to a move. Happy birthday to Sophia. Have a good day. Hugs Brenda

  9. I have no desire to go back in time! I love that I'm moving toward the end of my lifetime... at 16, it was such a looooong stretch ahead. At 70+, it's not so much, and I have so many memories of what I lived through before today!

That said, I do like Summer! The daylight encourages being awake and active... I could sleep through Winter, for the most part, happily!

  10. Lynda, happy 1st Day of Summer to you and yours, too. Especially your dear granddaughter.
Hot here, too. Near or even over 90F today. No rain forecast.
Getting so excited about tomorrow. I have never attended a concert by myself. The driving, the parking. Which gate is closer to where my seat is in the assessable area? Maybe I can find some answers online.
Went to Walgreens, but forgot to stop for bananas! That means another trip out unless you can put a couple in a transporter and beam them to me. (Did you watch Star Trek?)
I am sorry for your mosquitoes. I haven't seen many here. They are good bird food I hear. Tell your birdies to get busy!
    Love your positivity! {{{HUGS}}}

  11. No way would I get in one of those types of sub...they are being steering by a gaming handle...crazy, and no one someone crazy rich would spend 250,000 bucks to go on one.
You need to be careful...getting overheated is dangerous.
I am so happy you are having happy and good day...
