Saturday, June 24th

Saturday--  hot again---  AND----  our Grandson cannot get out to cut the grass---Right now it is quite wet, but hopefully before noon, I can get to some of it--I hear rain  is on its way for the next few days-

It is a weekend--- nice! ---  more relaxing--maybe groceries to-morrow---We shall see---Because of the heat outside, I cannot take Lopez , the Chihuahua , or Himself with me, to shop---They usually both wait in the car , with the vehicle running, but me thinks that is not the best idea right now --- If Himself ever opened the hatch, Lopez would be gone in a flash--Best they both stay at home from now on!

So, we are still in our home---  maybe forever--I just  cannot find another place and move to any old place and hire people to bring  another house up to  snuff---will be complicated--even if one could find anyone to do that. I suppose it is OK  to be here--hopefully I can hire help with the snow---  Who knows eh?--
I do enjoy working in the garden--It seems to relax a person---After weed whacking the hill,  it made such a difference to look at, en route to the lake--It does seem like there is music amongst the trees, and one returns to the house, with a happier heart.

So, I hear Himself vacuuming the main level--bless his heart!--I hope you all enjoy the weekend---Before long it will be July---hard to believe!--Whatever happens in your day, I know you can handle it--if you believe you can-

  1. Yes, my gardening brings me peace. This year, I started my flowers as seedlings. Actually they started sprouting in my bathroom! Ha ha. Now, they are all planted outside. Several types - lobelia, petunias, zinnias, and a few more bulbs of different variety of flowers. It’s how I escape from the craziness of this world! And yes, we women need to stick together!
    Have a wonderful Saturday. Jacquie

  2. Have a great Saturday. Could you take Himself with you and leave Lopez caged? Himself seems to do better when he gets out in town a bit? Just curious and a thought leads to me thinking aloud....lol

  3. Happy Saturday! I weed whacked yesterday for a while, and will go back out to day in a few minutes....need to get out early as it will be very hot here again today. I am going to do a "walk" for a friend whose husband died of a brain tumor. She has the walk every summer to raise awareness and funds for the brain cancer research. I'm thinking it will be a hot walk, as the walk starts at
6PM. We need rain here too - and the weather people are saying maybe some showers later tonight and tomorrow....would be nice not to have to water my plants and flowers.....not meaning to complain, but there is always so much to do!

  4. It's Kathy. Love the memes today. Yes, we are all doing the best we can. Today is cleaning day for me and after letting it go for almost 2 years of pain and recovery I am finding so much that needs to be cleaned. I want to do it all but I know I have to take one thing at a time and hope I can get a lot of it done. Today I am washing a few curtains added into my regular cleaning. Yes, I like to have it look nice outside too but my husband could care less. It's frustrating. I love him, he's a good person and has taken good care of me throughout several recoveries. BUT, I sure wish he would take good care of our home and yard! Have a wonderful day - you inspire me!

Put Lopez in the crate and take himself along to the store as he seems to do better when he gets out for a bit and he enjoys McDonald's lol. Just a thought.
    Take care.

  6. Sorry your grandson cannot get out to cut the grass. Hope that the grass does dry out a little bit.

Yes, sounds like the best plan to have Himself and Lopez stay home w/Lopez in a safe area.

Definitely hard to believe that July is almost upon us! Sheesh.

    Take care of yourself.

  8. Lynda, I am happy you're having a good day. Me, too.
If you go shopping and leave Himself and Lopez home, would it be a good idea to leave Lopez in his crate so Himself doesn't whack him if he comes to close (or whatever)?
I have bananas, treated myself to a blueberry muffin, cleaned the stove, microwave, dishes, put away clean clothes, shopped, the car is fine now after me having to come back home on the way to the concert, cuz car was not accelerating. Turns out it was my fault! (this is probably the comment that disappeared when I checked to see if you had commented...yesterday). The floor mat was jumbled up in a ball in the corner and jammed under the gas pedal!
Oh well, there is a bridge that crosses several lanes of traffic from the parking garage to the arena. My daughter says she doesn't think I'd have made it.
All's well that ends well (did your mama say that, too?).
Tomorrow I will stay home, wash another load of clothes, change my sheets and play bingo with my friends.
    You will do well and be happy, dear, wherever you end up living. I am sure of that! {{{HUGS}}}

  13. I’m in the same boat as you. My husband died three months ago at the age of 92 ( I’m twenty years younger). Our home is a bungalow but now I’m finding it too big for me and many repairs. Our front and back yards are humongous lots.
Moving to a condo even in a small town outside of Hamilton where I live is astronomical. They run from 700,000 to a million. I just don’t know. To stay or not to stay?
