, it says , "Elliot Lake", where we live--and there is an active fire over to the rt--AND-----There are more--
The bottom red square in the above picture is just to the rt of where we live--- Now, is this how we are going to live, forever and for always---with fires?---- It is all "bush" around us--- Is this bush going to be continuously a problem?--It all seems very frightening-
So, one more thing to worry about!-Lord love a duck eh?-----a cup of tea is for sure, a good thing--
A cup of tea will force us to sit down and relax---One never knows what is the next big worry in the world -----We may as well relax--- get a good book, and drink a cup of tea---So---- We do have sun---and-- I must get big Beau out---- and wee little Lopez---
Good morning Lynda
ReplyDeleteI am glad everything is well by you. We are getting the smoke from the wildfires. The last couple of days have been smoky and air quality poor. Dan & I are fine also. We have appt w/cardiologist this afternoon. I am still having trouble w/left eye, that I had surgery on a few years ago. Well better get going. Things to do. take care,
Bev
hi Bev---How did your appointment with the Cardiologist go?--=And what is wrong with yer eye??--It's nice to hear from yu-Lynda
DeleteWishing you a wonderful Wednesday! And safety from those fires. We're so dry down here, too, so we worry about fires, too, but so far, cross fingers, we've not had a lot.
ReplyDeleteYes the fires are scary--Lynda
DeleteIt's Kathy. I can only imagine how hard it is to live so close to those fires both from the intense smoke that must be all around you and worry for your own home and property. I will pray for you and himself, that the fires are put out soon. Maybe some much needed rain will come. We are on the 4th or 5th day of warnings that our air is too smokey for most people to be out in it. I can see the haze but can't smell anything. Take care and be watchful but don't worry, it never helps!
ReplyDeleteIt is very scary--the fires--- and so bad to smell all that smoke-- Lynda
DeleteLord, I HOPE these fires quit. We have very unhealthy to hazardous air quality here for day #3. **SIGH** Stay safe if those fires are close to you!
ReplyDeleteI know . . . isn’t it amazing that we are winding up June! And we are still standing! Praise be.

Oh I hope these fires go---- It is scary--=Lynda
DeleteI live about 25 miles from St. Louis, MO on the the Illinois side of the Mississippi River and yesterday and today the air is filled with smoke - looks like fog from the fires in Canada. Unhealthy air alerts have been posted. You can even smell the smoke! Isn't it amazing how far that the smoke from those fires can travel??!!! It is hot and dry here....have to add water to the pool as it is evaporating in the heat! Might be a good day to jump in the pool for me! Or perhaps, I should stay inside and read a book and have some tea as suggested in your blog today! :-)
ReplyDeleteYes-- Sandra--stay inside --It is very bad for yu-- We are OK to-day but yesterday was bad-Lynda
DeleteHoping the fires don't get any closer to your home.
ReplyDeleteI'm about 20 miles from downtown St.Louis on the Missouri and we have smoke again today. Very hazy. The smoke really travels. It is so dry here. There is talk of canceling the July 4th fireworks due to the dry conditions. In the next few days we'll be approaching air temps of 100 and who knows what the heat index numbers will reach. Time to hunker inside just like winter. Weather is more extreme or certainly seems that way compared to decades ago.
Take care, stay cool. I'm optining for ice tea.
Hugs
Yesterday the smoke was very bad here-- I had to turn on the AC to not have it in the house-- Today it is gone-Lynda
DeleteLynda, we still have haze from the fires, too. It is hotter and storms are due tonight.
ReplyDeleteVery busy today running around on errands. Will exercise yet and make a good dinner. Sometimes I just nuke an entrée or have a sandwich.
My spelling on entrée was corrected. This system uses accent marks!
With no mention of Himself or Sushi, I am assuming (but you know about ASS U ME) that all is well.
Hopefully you're accomplishing what you want to and finding time to relax with a book or your piano, too.
I have said I perspire like an old Michigan farmer. After the exercise, it will be a comfy shower and staying in the A/C for the rest of the day.
Have you heard, 'Men sweat, women perspire and ladies glow."?
{{{HUGS}}}
That is cute-- Ladies "glow"-- No smoke here today but yesterday was very bad-Lynda-
DeleteHi Lynda: We have air quality warnings here in Toronto today. It is quite smoky and it smells smoky outside. You must have it real bad today. Just heard on the news that our air quality index is the worst in the world today! So don't be spending too much time outdoors there. Time to relax indoors with a cup of tea and a good book! EnJoy. Brenda
ReplyDeleteIt was very smokey here yesterday but almost clear to-day Lynda
DeleteMarti here. Here in Newark Ohio it is very hazy and you can smell it too, we have air quality alerts. Scary. I don't remember this EVER happening here before, what is the world coming to??? In fact, I didn't know Canada ever had wildfires. I think of it as always very wet there.
ReplyDeleteWe have never had these forest fires before-- It is scary--Our daughter leaves to-morrow--driving up here-- Lynda
DeleteThe air alert was to end at midnight in Ohio but it has been extended into Friday. Keep calm and drink tea is right. I actually had tea last night. I hope you had a great day!
ReplyDeleteOur daughter leaves tomorrow to drive up here--she said it was smokey there--not smokey here anymore--Lynda
DeleteCan I come with her? lol She will get better air quality up there. Crazy, huh?
