Life in your years!

Good morning--It is hot-hot -hot-- The AC is flying-- The sun is out-- and both dogs did their business--so-- what a way to begin a day!--We have bananas----perhaps groceries to-morrow--and, I hear we might even get rain to-morrow--  That will settle the forest fires around here--
Now isn't the above the truth?---  We older people have so much packed into our head, that to "download" it all, it takes time.---  I thought this would make yer day.

Someone  sorta mentioned that I do not include men in the blogs-- I suppose  I write for everyone really-- perhaps weighted  more for the woman of the house---  I believe it was kinda insinuated that I am hard on the male---LOL---- I certainly never mean to be--- I mean, we could not live without the men in our lives and I do love my husband, who worked so hard all his life to send all our 455 children (well, it seemed that way)- to University and Colleges, at least 999 times---But, women kept the home fires burning--so this could occur--and , women had all these little bodies, cooked and cleaned and this goes on still--and perhaps being a woman, I am sorta biased-----especially when I get up at 5am and finally flop into bed at 10pm--

Usually  I feel  most days, like the above, -- because in my older age, life is extra busy, taking care of an elderly husband--

To-day I am hoping to weed whack the hill, going to the lake-- I hate that job--I have already called the wonderful kind soul (and he is a man!)----to restring my 3 weed whackers after  balancing on this hill , as I chop the weeds-- He tells me to bring them down (town) anytime before 5pm--Bless his heart to do this for me--

It is Friday--I hope that your weekend is great! --  Get out that "Getto blaster"--turn it up--full blast, and SING---It will put life in your years!

  1. Hi Lynda, it's Kathy. Honestly I have never read anything that would suggest that you are hard on men so whoever said that was reading in between the lines. You write about YOUR life and we enjoy hearing about it. Some days are very challenging and you share that too. Some days are really challenging for me too and my husband is younger than I am so he is able to do more. But, he usually only does what HE wants to do! So keep on telling us about your days!

    1. Oh Kathy---Yes, I write mainly for the woman of the house--because, --I firmly believe it's us who keep the world going around--WITH THE HELP of the man--maybe-- LOL--- I just did the hill--so now it looks from the lake that civilized people live here-It really is a lot of work to keep this place going-- but--- I like to see it looking nice--do not know if we ever moved if I could start all over again-- so--this just may be where stay-Lynda --So good to hear from yu--hugs

  2. Not writing about men? It’s your blog! Lol. I think that some people need something to complain about. Well, come to think about it, it seems like that’s all people do anymore.
I spend a lot of time in my flowers. No complaints and they seem perfectly fine with whatever is thrown at them. In this day and age, one must take care of themselves before you can take care of others.
I love your blogs. It is your blog so you can write whatever comes to mind! If it is about food, animals, family, hair, or men - it’s your thoughts! I don’t write much…. Can never find the right words. You do that delightfully. Even if it’s hard situations. Carry on…
    Have a wonderful weekend.

  3. I never meant anything at all that you are hard on men, good lord! Not sure how you could get that kind of feeling. It’s we women constantly being teased and joked about as being absent minded and crazy in many memes!

You are strong to be able to hold and maneuver a weedwacker…that is something that I never learned how to operate. ❤️Eissa7

  9. I'm late replying. I love your blogs and no you do not say anything in particular about men. Someone must have interpreted things from their personal perspective. Its your blog. Write about whatever you want. I'm so glad you share your day, your stories, your kids and pets plus your occasional struggle with DH. We all know how much you love your family and pets. Keep on keeping on. I get a positive boost, smiles, laughs and strength from your daily shares.
Glad you have banannas lol. Thank goodness for the NAPA man. Hes so helpful and kind. The constant work outside makes ME tired lol.
Hope you are in the AC playing your piano.
    Hugs

  11. Once again, my comment is not here. Can't remember just what it was, but I can say that I do remember week whackers. The cord always broke on the king we had and I could never get it to work again. {{{HUGS}}}

  12. I don't think you have ever written anything dissing men .... you write about your disappointment occasionally with the children...and how Fred is and is not doing...............so I don't think you come down on men at all. I went back and read some of the comments, and the lady said she did not mean you dissed men, she was a little misunderstood on how she phrased it.
Glad the guy at NAPA takes care of your weedwhackers for you and do be careful outside when it is so hot, so you do not get overheated. I have had heatstroke and it is NOT pleasant.
    Hugs Lynda....stay strong.

PS: If anyone knows of a fix for coughing(allergies) that is on the natural side, let me know............I have kidney disease and cannot take OTC products. Thanks bunches!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
