Thank you for being here yesterday--

The man is home---  and all is good! --- (the husband who went to get his voice fixed)--Son#4 took him to the hospital--stayed there--and brought him home here, around noon--even took him to McDonald's after--LOL--He could not eat his burger---saved it tho for to-day--he said his throat was a bit sore-- I guess they went in thru his neck and deposited the $400 filler into the  one vocal chord--They also said it would take a few days to get his voice back to normal--but, it sounds more like him already--- Isn't it amazing what modern medicine can do?--but--Himself told me, that in his medical book, it said Drs were doing this same procedure 20 yrs ago---So, all is well--Praise the good Lord!

Son #2, the Pilot, is en route to Frankfurt Germany-- flew all night--I suppose we shall see pictures of German sausage etc soon---LOLOL----I am always happy to see that he has landed--which hasn't come  online yet--

We have no bananas-- which means that I should go for groceries this AM., but--- I shall see how the morning goes first-It is kind of nice to have all that hospital stuff over with--might be good to just relax-see how things go---Yesterday I did a bit of grass cutting---the Grandson might not get here till Sunday or Monday--He will let me know--- and he does a way better job than I do--He cuts the grass  in patterns--

and--for sure, yesterday was a difficult day here-- made so much easier because I knew you were here for me to share it with-- Thank you to all of you!

Braver----  Stronger-- smarter than we ever think--and I do enjoy hearing from you all---more than you know---Thank yu  --to all of you--   Lynda

  1. Good morning,
I'm so happy and grateful that all went well for DH. It sounds like even better results are yet to come. Sweet of your son to get DH a McDonald's burger. DH can enjoy that today.
    Loved the inserts today.
    Stay strong.
    Enjoy today!!
    Hugs

  2. Can't quite put into words how great it seems that all went well yesterday. WooHoo! I had a slow day today with a couple rest periods - not quite napping but close. But I did the important household things and made myself a good dinner so I'll be playing Bingo, then getting to bed feeling like it's been a good day.

  3. That's wonderful that everything worked out so well for your husband and you. I went through a procedure myself on Monday and have more coming up!! Yes it's great that modern science has improved. Donna_cps2
My problem is just getting to communicate with some doctors is very difficult.

    1. It is the same here with our Health Care -----It is so hard to reach a Doctor----It took us a year to get him in to see the "ENT" Doctor--and we finally had to text another DR--(not his)- to send a request again and mark it "urgent"--Lynda

  4. So glad all is well and he is home safe. I'm sure he will feel better now that he has his voice back to normal. Had to laugh at the modern medicine comment. To me, 20 years ago is still "modern medicine" . Guess it is all relative. Keep up the good work and don't overdo it with the grass - the grandson will be there soon enough and if he does it in patterns, he is proud of what he does. D.

  9. Good news that all went well yesterday and that you are already witnessing an improvement….hopefully, Fred will feel less frustrated with his communication skills as he regains his vocal ability! I’m sure you were worried and tense while you anxiously awaited his return home! I hope that you can relax a bit …. Grandson has the grass cutting scheduled, you don’t need to do it!! Yippee! Hope that your day is peaceful, you deserve some down time!! ❤️Eissa7

  10. Oh, Lynda! I am so happy for you and Himself! I am sure by this time next week it will be as if his vocal cord was always ok.
I have bananas. With I could put them in a transporter like on Star Trek and send them to you.
Weather forecast said nothing about smoke from Canada fires today. Does that mean they're being put out? Sure hope so. Many people must have had to vacate their homes and businesses.
I get news often about the wild fires in California where my doctor son and his live.
Sometimes we just have to trust that we are being cared for by a higher power, and that everything is and will be fine.
The hearing aid that went caput was to be replaced, and it came today. Now tomorrow when we play Bingo in our Community Room, I will be able to wear the left and the right. Does Himself still fight wearing his hearing aids?
Yesterday was one of my grandson's 14th birthday. He is in a traveling baseball league that was playing 20 minutes from me. I got to go see him and his friends. Also had a great visit with my daughter when there was time. She is the team's manager. Her husband stayed home cuz he's supposed to stay off his foot for 22 out of 24 hours. The pathology report came back as non-cancerous.
    It's a great day! Let's celebrate...sing, dance, laugh and eat a healthy treat! {{{HUGS}}}

  14. I am happy you got bananas and your grandson will do the lawn. We power washed the patio today. So nice and sunny in Ohio. It will be hot this coming week. We had so many tornadoes here evening before last. Your daughter probably told you. Can't wait to see the german food pics. German food is so good! I'm so sorry you are having a rough day with himself. I hope he feels ok from his surgery. Tomorrow is Sunday! Hopefully, it will be a great day for you! Stay strong. Hugs!
