The Older you get----the Better you get--unless you're a banana

---The older we get, the better we get-because we decide to be strong--so true !----It does help to get a good nights sleep however--and wake up feeling refreshed--

It is "Hair Day"- and this morning, I definitely look like the Lady in the picture---We have a rainy day starting, which means no weed whacking ---more inside work--

To-morrow Himself has his surgery. Hopefully it will help  him talk---and breathe at the same time.-I never knew that everyone has 2 vocal cords, which open and close as we speak-- One of his vocal cords is stuck open, damaged by COVID--- Who would've thought eh?--the surgeon, from Toronto, is going to glue the damaged one where ever it is supposed to be--So, not only does Himself not hear, he cannot talk very well, without choking--

When you were growing up, did you ever even imagine that our lives would  drastically be affected like we are to-day?---Good thing  we have become strong, and seem to be able to handle everything_- Justa trip to the grocery store  has become very interesting--

Do you remember your Grandmother?--Grandmothers absolutely adore their Grandchildren--Below is my Mom, with the long hair -- beside her is her mother, and  and her Grandmother and great Grandmother--I never knew her Mother, or her Great Grandmother--or Grandmother--They all passed before I was even thought of-----
and you know----  we are alive---  Our life span is so much longer-- I always wished I had known these Ladies-----  This is why I blog---  It is a way of allowing my Grandchildren, one day, to get to know me-
Take care of "YOU" to-day---  We really are special!---We are a part of an ever changing world
---Love yourself enough to  take care of you!-----  You are stronger than you  even know!---Good times I believe, are  always on the way--

  1. It's Kathy - no, I never imagined a world like the one we are now living in. It breaks my heart that our grandchildren are having to grow up with so many scary things going on. I also never thought It would be so hard to do things but as you say, we must be strong. I hope all goes well tomorrow for himself!

  2. Today ended up being a rest day for me. I got some work done after lunch and then around 4pm, when I'm usually writing or hit the gym - the one in my living room -well not today. My brain said it was full and my body said it was tired, so went down for a nap and it was a bit longer than I intended. I think I needed the time off though. We're not race cars, we're people and we run out of fuel too but sometimes refuelling can take a bit longer for some of us! I'll be keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you and Himself today. Praying all goes smoothly and I hope they give you all information you both need to know.

  5. Lynda, as regards our relatives, my mom would say, "That was before you were even a twinkle in your daddy's eye." Love the photo.
    My hair is getting long enough that it needs attention, too. I believe the hair grows faster in the summertime.
    Just came back from getting a bit of gas and bananas. The fruit is for me and two other ladies that live here. I asked if anyone wanted something (of 3 ladies in our Community Room who were playing cards). When they found out where I was going, two wanted bananas.
    I did a bit of inside work today, too. And I did all my therapy exercises and added some extra strength ones, too.
    The weather forecast hear speaks of hazy sun due to wildfires in Canada. Ontario is just north of us.
    We just gotta think positive, love ourselves as you say and live in the present moment. Hard to do all the time, huh?
    Sending good wishes, prayers for Himself and his medical team tomorrow. {{{HUGS}}}
