Have a Nice Day

-- I hope your day is awesome-- Yu might as well  try to make it that way---think  awesome thoughts ---

I got up this AM ., to hear that the interest rates at the bank, is probably going to climb once again-- How on earth can that happen  AGAIN?--we might as well think positive thoughts--, because there

is not much we can do about it------  I saw the above, and thought about you all-- living in this day, with smoke pollution---  high interest rates-- dealing with all this-- and  -- I guess Dr Seuss tells us  how it is--"Duckie" and  that we just have to deal with it.

We are going for bananas--early ----so----  hopefully we can avoid the crowds-- and then I shall return and get some weed whacking in--all seems well on the home front here---  so far----  Lotza robins around--and hummingbirds---- Their life  seems the same--  no worries about "interest rates--LOL--

Big hugs---  _Get out there and enjoy this day

y--

  1. Yes, unfortunately worry doesn't solve anything, does it. Just expends energy. I shall be positive today! Already had a smile on my face (Mom always said you're not dressed til you have a smile on.

  2. We have had many rainy days in a row . . .not a lot of rain but enough that you don't want to be out in the gardens working. I did get all of my veggie seeds planted last Friday before the rainy days started so I am thankful for that. I am glad I don't have to worry about interest rates at this point. . . .we sold our house in VT and bought the new one here in NH 5 years ago this October. This house is "old" people friendly. One floor . . . 2 steps to the garage but room enough for a ramp if we need one. This Spring we remodeled the bathroom to make it accessible for when we need it. I actually like the large walkin shower with a seat rather than the tub with shower that I had to step over into.
I was thinking about your house maybe not selling very fast and that you may have to stay there. Is there some way to live just on one floor so himself doesn't have to do stairs? Can you hire the snow removal so that it would be one less stress for you? What about a real Sadie to clear. I think you are going to be spending more and more time trying to care for himself and you . . . even as strong as you are . . . are only one "old" lady . . . something has to give and I would not like it to be you. What would happen to himself if you can't care for him.
Sorry to be the Debbie Downer today but I have been thinking about you and your situation the last few days and finally decided to write it down. Maybe have a chat with your daughter when she is there.

  3. I hope you have a nice day, too! Those interest rates! Craziness. Hope you beat the rush at the store. We are doing pickup Friday evening. So much haze here in Ohio and the air quality is bad! Temps are low but have to keep windows closed. Half of the US is like this, I read. Don’t do too much weed eating. Get some rest.

  4. It's a nice day here, too. Mostly cloudy this morning and cool. Warming up now, and it's mostly sunny.
A few chores for me. Getting the garbage and recyclables out is kinda a big deal...taking all (including litter box contents) down 3 flights and out to the bins.
Will get a bit more gas in the car in preparation for driving 41 miles and back for my 3 doctor appointments at the VA Hospital in Minneapolis tomorrow. One of them is a ct scan on abdominal and pelvic areas. Have to eat breakfast VERY early. Another appointment is to see my new PCP. Then it's to audiology to see why my left hearing aid won't charge. I'll be very tired when I come home. Need to bet up a couple hours earlier than usual. Early to be tonight probably wouldn't do...wouldn't be ready for sleep yet. Hmm...maybe a drink or so of that booze people keep giving me. I do not drink in my apartment...just on a Saturday night if we go to karaoke. Then it's just 2 lite beers.
We just deal with things, don't we? One day at a time, focusing on what we have that we love and our dreams for the future

  5. It's Kathy. My youngest daughter just bought a house and moved in June 1st. She had to get herself and her boys away from their emotionally and sometimes physically abusive father. Her mortgage was approved late April and then I heard about the interest rates going up. Also that our president signed a bill that required persons with good credit scores to pay a higher interest on their mortgages than persons with low credit scores. Looks like she timed it just right! Hope your shopping trip was successful!

  6. My free advice for what's it worth - - look for somebody to do the yard work this summer and then when it gets cold you can find someone to take care of all your snow. As far as replacing Sadie, if you don't have the yard work, Sadie will have more time for inside. Maybe shut off some of the rooms you aren't using now since the kids are gone. Slowly clear out some of the stuff not being used and thus Sadie will have less to worry about. In short, just worry about one thing at a time and I have faith that it will all fall into place.

  7. I hope you have a nice day also. We are hearing a lot of warnings regarding the air quality and not to be outside very long. For your health please be careful and also stay hydrated. They aren't even allowing the kids out for recess. I am in Kitchener so we aren't all that far away. Take care and stay safe.

  9. Lynda: Please don't spend much time weed whacking or anything else outside. You can smell & see it in Toronto and apparently it's also gone to the U.S. and you're right up there with it. Let's all keep positive that it will be gone soon & there is lots of rain to get rid of the fires. On the plus side hopefully it gets rid of the black flies and mosquitoes. Take care. Hugs Brenda

  10. I hope you don’t get that smoke, but nothing you can do to stop it, either. We in Texas have bad Ozone for the past ten days or so, plus hitting the 90’s and 100’s next week and that will stay until Halloween…..enjoy your daughter’s visit at least.

  11. Good morning Lynda,
It has been awhile since I wrote. I just wanted to let you know that I read some of your blogs but I don't respond because I'm not sure you are even reading them. I read where himself will need surgery, but I couldn't find what for. I will be keeping him and you in my prayers. I hope your daughter will be staying w/you when himself goes thru the surgery. We are doing well in Michigan, but it has been cold in the mornings.
    Take care.
    Bev
