We should all wear a crown!

We ALL need a crown----Most things we do, are never recognized, until we stop doing whatever--and there are days that I do feel sorry for myself, having to struggle thru a day---  which--is crazy--

- What if I couldn't do whatever I do?--It would be a disaster here--- --There is no point feeling sorry for ones self-- One might as well just "DO" whatever---  and get on with the day---

But,--- I Do have "Pitty" days---which is really justa waste of time--and I know that--

-  Dwelling on the positives helps--- #1-- The smoke is not as bad to-day, at least here-I hear it has blown south of us however-- --------#2--The receivers we received from the TV provider , Son #4 is going to hook them up for me--The provider have no service person to help us.

#3--  I am healthy--- #4-- It is "hair day"   #5, The grandson is going to cut the grass-----and #6 -Our daughter will arrive to-morrow with her children and her dog

The Lady with the Arrow on her, is my Grandmother-- She was attending Teachers College--- She went opn to marry my Grandfather, and raise 7 children--- I am sure her life was so different than my life now-- We have come a long long way---I remember when she had a "wringer washer"--  a wood stove to cook on, probably never owned a pair of "Jeans"--became diabetic-- died at a younger age than I am to-day--

When  I think of her life, I become stronger---I can stop feeling sorry for myself--- Lord love a Duck!--But--- she probably did not have these "fires" that we are experiencing--Global warming was not even thought of--

Anyway, can you tell that I am trying very hard to  "BE STRONGER THAN I REALLY AM"  ?--

I have you all to talk to--- and  it's yu people that keep me going---because by sharing our struggles, we see that life  can be good, no matter what!

  1. Good morning!
Yup, we all have our moments…
Yesterday I went to the dentist for my 6 month cleaning. I was telling them that once in awhile my teeth are sensitive. Couldn’t find any particular tooth. We got to talking and sure enough, I’ve been grinding my teeth. It usually happens after I watch the news or see someone, yet again, run a red light! Oh my, we did find ourselves giggling. I need to pay close attention to my thoughts and jaw!
Today I hang out with my youngest grandson. I love those days.
Have a great day. Play the piano and pet the dogs!

The Canada smoke is bad down here and were expecting 100 degree air temps today. Ugh

    Yay for grandson cutting yard.
My mom used a wringer washer and in her younger years cooked on a wood stove. How spoiled am I?

  3. Hi Lynda, the thought just occurred to me that maybe you can do some things every other day or so, instead of daily?? You do have a bunch of indoor and outdoor chores, for sure! Sounds like you are in for a fun period with daughters visit…relax a bit and enjoy! ❤️ Eissa7

  4. Lynda, be sure that nearly 100% of us have had a pity party at one time or another. That's when I, like you, have learned to look at the positives, focus on something I love, etc. It took me 70 years to learn all that!
Hope we can pass it on to our kids and grands so they don't take so long!
Enjoy your hair day! You do want to look your best for your daughter...although she wouldn't care if you didn't!
Maybe your grandson will meet his auntie. Are you having a family get together while she and her kids are here? Glad her shingles are better...maybe even gone?
I may do some shopping, but don't really need much. Would like to get out before it gets too hot.

  5. My crowning "win" today is that I scored a slot of a plumber this afternoon. I'm having water pressure issues and I want to know what and how much it will take to fix them ASAP. There's always something when you have a house!

So happy to hear your daughter and her kids are coming to you! Hopefully that will help at least for a while with Himself (he'll be on best behavior with his daughter there!)

  7. It's Kathy. I find myself feeling sorry for myself now and then as well. My mom would say she was having her own "pity party". But I too, have so many things to be grateful for. My children will all be here next Wednesday to have dinner - we haven't all been together for 2-3 years. So long that I can't remember. I got an excellent 1 year checkup from my back surgery and the surgeon has some ideas of why I'm still having back pain. So more doctor visits but I'm grateful that I can at least walk. And we don't have that smokiness in the air today, although it's too hot to spend much time outside anyway. Oh, and I'm very grateful for air conditioning! Have a wonderful day - you always brighten up mine!

  8. Glad your daughter and her kids will be here tomorrow. It's been quite a while since you saw them. Hopefully the smoke will go away. I remember the wringer washer. We used to have one and I had to help with the laundry. Glad those days are gone and we have more modern appliances these days. Stores are closed on Saturday for the holiday. Enjoy your hair day. 10. Marti here. God Bless You! But, you are able to still DO all that you do, and that's wonderful. Some people your age wouldn't be able to, would be walker bound, or whatnot. You're amazing, for all that you do!

  12. I have been getting crowns lately but the wrong kind. lol We all have pity days. I think it is ok because we just get tired and so much to do and think about. It takes a lot of mental and physical energy to keep everything going. You do it so well! I hope you enjoy your daughter and grandkids. The air quality in Ohio is supposed to be better by tomorrow evening. I sure hope so. Have a wonderful weekend!
