A beautiful day begins with a beautiful Mindset

It's cooler--- only 3 C when I got up--I am enjoying it--a few more clothes on--- like--maybe I can cut the front lawn this afternoon--if it dries out--kinda nice to haul out the jeans and maybe a light jacket--a whole new season just beginning--
Well, there is SO much to tell yu all-- Yesterday son#3 called and said he had called SKIP--(I used to date a fella called SKIP_-and I've told you how Dad used to nickname all my old boyfriends-)- Well, this   boyfriend  of mine--Skip---Dad named him "Skip the drip "---so you know how much Dad thought of him!----- Anyway---  the Skip that Son#3 called , takes old furniture--picks the furniture up--the resells it all-and--he is a very nice man---and he sent a truck out here early in the morning, yesterday--- with 3 strong men who loaded that truck----carried it out of this study--- and took it away--so, now we can see this room--

PLUS----  We can see the living room as some furniture  was removed from there----------Holy Cow eh?
-as yu can see below--

And---- so much dust and dog hair  was everywhere--I will be vacuuming forever I think!--So, it is a beginning of a mammoth project-- which may take me till "Kingdom come" to complete-

Son#2 , the Pilot, is in Brazil---and sent pictures of food of  course-
Below is Ali tuna and smoked salmon-
His flight path south, to Sao Paulo, Brazil, followed the path of Hurricane Lee, which was heading north--if you follow the line , you can see how close they were to the reddish/yellow blob , (Hurricane Lee)--which he said made for a rough bumpy ride at times--He returns back to Toronto to-night and is hoping that Hurricane Lee will be more north east of his flight-
I  can hear Himself vacuuming the living room--- I must get  the 2 dogs out --for the 3rd time this morning-This afternoon I must drop a trunk full of table clothes, linen place matts--plus lotza stuff I haven't seen for 50 yrs which was all packed away  in drawers-- Lord love a Duck!  Does anyone even use this stuff anymore?
Did you realize that "YOU" are all the above?---kind.......smart......gorgeous....simply amazing.....worth it...and I know that we all are STRONG___because we must be---  to deal with everything that we  have to accomplish everyday-- YOU ARE PERFECT!

  2. It feels so good to declutter and downsize . . . we did that when we moved from our big farmhouse to this smaller ranch style house. . . 5 years ago next month. Even if you are moving anytime soon . . .eventually you will so doing it a bit at a time now is a good thing. We are finally getting a sunny day here in NH . . .we have had so much rain this summer that I am tired of rain. Lots to do today . . .trying to get the produce put up from the garden and that is time consuming.

  3. You are such an inspiration in terms of decluttering and releasing furniture, clothes, and "stuff" that you no longer use/wear/love. And I would consider it a blessing that your sons are on board with the project and finding people who will make it easier for you. I'm hoping to make some progress in that area over the winter. And may I just say that even though you are dealing so much with Himself's unpredictable cognitive lapses, I love that the dear man hasn't forgotten how to vacuum! And THAT is a very good thing.

LOL---- but--Hv uses the Dyson--no cord vacuum--but any help is OK help--=plus I go over it the next day-- sometimes--- The furniture the junk man took away was all stuff we never sit on or use--'cept my Mom's Gate Leg Table--with the pieces that fit into it--It has so many memories--- but--I included it-- hard eh?--Lynda

  4. It's Kathy. Doesn't it feel so good to have things you no longer need given to someone who can really use them! We need to do that. My husband is a bit of a pack rat and after my mom passed away I inherited a lot of her things. Since it's all just been in the basement for years, I think it's time to get rid of it! Up till now I just haven't felt like doing it but my body is finally starting to feel like mine again! Love the photos of the food in Sau Paulo and wow, yes your son was very close to the hurricane. He must be one very good pilot! Have a good day and enjoy the cooler weather. It's nice here too - Daisy and I are going out for our walk shortly.

  5. Lynda, with help you are great at 'decluttering.' (I think that's the phrase in use now.) I do it periodically around here, too. Then I end up buying more stuff and have to declutter even more!
The food looks great. I love smoked salmon!
In a few minutes I am taking my friend on an errand. That's after I have already taken another friend on an errand and had her come back and ask for a ride to the Dollar Store (where things are $1.25)
I really thought today would be a day to relax and maybe get something done around here. Like check out my winter wardrobe like you did. I have gained about 8 # since last winter. The doctor likes that, though, and so does my daughter and doctor son.
When I get back from Joanne's errand, I think I will nap with Lucky. He is the softness and calmness in my life. With meditation, of course.
See, honey, we vent on each other.
    Love your memes. {{{HUGS}}}

  6. Hi Lynda! You have been working so hard as always but your rooms look so nice! Less to clean under and around. I love brazilian steakhouses. Your son’s food looks so delicious! Hope he has a great trip back. Less bumpy. I started out walking both dogs but I didn’t get too far. Kloi was pulling my arm off and Tommy learning to walk on a leash was all twisted. I went back home and took them out one at a time. I may skip the dreadmill today after all that. Lol So nice here in Ohio. It’s 67 degrees with sun. I remember you talking about Skip. Funny! Enjoy your day!

As always Son # 2"s meals look very appetizing. He really knows how to choose restaurants. I hope Himself goes to Day Care tomorrow and comes out in a happy mood. Take care and enjoy your day.

  8. Glad you're getting rid of some stuff. Now you will probably feel like doing more. Something to do over the winter - when you have someone else clearing the snow! Hope son #2 can steer clear of the hurricane coming back otherwise it will be a very bumpy ride. Safe travels to him. Have a good night tonight. Brenda

  9. Loved the inserts today...all if them.
I remember mention of Skip the Drip lol. You ended up with Fred the med...who's sounding grouchy. Sorry. I hope that attitude/mood passes. I do like that he vacuums YAY.

I KNOW you have mixed feelings about parting with stuff but gosh your rooms look bigger and easier to navigate. Things you aren't using and not likely to use...outta there..
Glad Skip could come get it so you can't change your mind.
Hope pilot son has a smoother trip back home. It can't be easy flying in a hurricane. Food looks great.
Hoping Sr.Center is a GO tomorrow.
    Have a great day.
    Hugs

  10. Hope you got to cut the front lawn. We are enjoying a bit cooler weather here, too.

So great that Sone #3 found Skip to take your furniture. Yes, it sounds like your Dad didn’t care your boyfriend Skip, the Drip. LOL Oh well.

OH my, the food DS #2 sent pictures of looks SOOOO good.

As for the table linens, no, don’t think many people use them anymore. Sad, because it looks so pretty! I have 2 tablecloths and napkins I use. Nothing fancy.

Well, trying to maintain a beautiful mindset!

  11. Good Evening Lynda,
I know it was hard to get rid of furniture that was a part of your child hood and your parents things. I have that also. One is Hubbys mom's chair that I had redone and my grandmothers chair that I had redone.
You do inspire me tho to get rid of clothes and jackets that we don't wear anymore. I must do that. Too bad none of your children didn't want any of the furniture.
It was 45 degrees here this morning but warmed up to 70. This coming week will be around 80 degrees.
Glad himself is helping w/ vacuuming, and your room looks great!
    Hugs Bev
