A new day and we are a part of it!

It's a better day--Praise the Lord! --  himself is OK---right now---and someone from Community Care Access Centre  (whatever that is)_ called yesterday , and will be out early October to interview himself and me--hopefully to see what help we need----  I'm   telling you--when this Lady told me who she was, and where she was from, it was like "God" himself ,  had arranged it--
--YES--I NEED HELP----I just hope that I can hang in  here  with all I have to do, for now--

The colours in this area, outside, with all the Maple trees, is spectacular--

The Paint Lady is here until Wednesday----The living room is almost all done--and the dining room--just the kitchen to go--Son #2 the Pilot felt it was too much--all this painting---with himself the way he is---(I realize now he was right!)-- but--- it really does freshen the place up---all my mirrors are down-----but---- as soon as I have time, I want them back up-- (which will probably make the paint Lady cringe--LOL)

I must get Lopez out again--I must not allow himself to upset me--He does not remember what he says---It is a brand new day--- and we must remember how fortunate we are to be a part of it---

  1. Love the Irish Blessing! So happy that today is going much better than yesterday! Don't feel quilty about the painter lady being there! You #2 son might be right about it being too much for him, but how could you have know? Besides, I think your kids need to think about you and your stress levels.....and pitch in a little more to help you! Just my two cents worth, but I worry about you!

  2. I love your pictures of the trees in your area. I do miss the Fall colours. So bright and orange. I see some in the areas where there are vineyards but haven't been for a drive or a ride in those areas at the right time in ages. Right now our trees are bursting out fresh green leaves and bright flowers. My almond trees were blooming last week but then a wind came and littered my yard with white blossoms everywhere. So pretty and the smell was lovely. I also had wisteria blooming last week - it is what keeps my fence up because Rod did some weaving years ago, not realising it was Wisteria he was weaving. Well, now it's overtaking a large bush, going over the top of it and may start to weave it's way through the rickety wood holding up the part of the fence that's nearest my window. I hope it manages to grow and come this far. What a lovely sight to see first thing in the morning!

  3. (((( hugs )))) So glad it's only a week away, the assessment of needs! One day at a time, will be praying each day for things to be in your favor and Himself's!

Those trees are indeed beautiful this time of year... ours are just starting to turn now. Grateful for each new day!

  4. Great inserts. The trees are stunning up there. We're weeks away from changes although it is the first day of fall.
"Maybe" the painting disruption is too much for himself, BUT..that big butt...how are you supposed to predict that? Generally, you have no idea what will set him off. I'm glad things are better at the moment. I so admire your positive attitude, your can do spirit and your determination to carry on. You are a very strong lady.
Grateful someone is coming out to,hopefully, link you up with needed services. You need help! Prayers for both of you.
ASK one of the boys to hang your mirrors.
    Hang in.
Enjoy today and find YOUR joy.

  5. Still another room to paint? She was here 'til Wednesday you say. Will she come back to paint the kitchen? Won't it be wonderful when it's all done! Lots of work for you, though, getting everything back in the place you want it.
Our tree colors are similar. I love them, but it still makes me think of the snow to follow.
Our elevator is out. I will have to lug my garbage down 3 flights of stairs to put it in the dumpster, but I can do it.
Karaoke tonight. It has not been happening as often. The bar didn't schedule it afraid they wouldn't make enough $.
Gotta bring up some songs on youtube.com and practice. I know the particular deejay coming tonight, but I'd really like to do, "Leave a Light on in the Kitchen" by Ashley McBryde. If you ever listen to country music on the radio, you may have heard it.
On to Sadie chores, then self manicure, etc. getting ready for tonight.
At least I commented today BEFORE you read the comments ;-)

  6. Hi Linda, it's Kathy. We are here because my son is an author and has his own publishing company and he is doing some kind of a book thing - trying to sell his books and his authors' books while promoting his company. This morning Tom, Daisy and I took a drive into a nearby town and then took a scenic drive - it was beautiful just like your photos above. I feel better getting out of here for awhile! I am so happy that someone has called to talk to you and Fred - hopefully they will be able to provide you some help. I can't even imagine how hard is it on you when he gets angry when you know he loves you so much. And I agree with you - sometimes you just have to do something to make yourself feel better, even if it's difficult. I'm sure it will help you feel better in the long run! Hope today has been a good day for you! We are going home tomorrow morning and I will be so happy to be home!

  7. Well, it probably is 'too much' to have the painting done with Himself's condition, as change or 'different' in his space is stressful for him. However, you are working hard with little to no help, and deserve to do what is needed for yourself. Perhaps one of the children would volunteer to take him to visit them or to the adult daycare as needed, but that does not seem to be happening. They do not mean to be selfish, and will not understand how much they should be helping you until they are caring for a spouse themselves. Meanwhile, caretakers are at high risk of stress-related illness or shortened life-span due to the stress of it all. So, do what you need to do for you!

Yay that a needs assessment is happening soon; it's long past due, but many of those places are overwhelmed with need and so the wait is long.

Take good care of yourself, even if that means not getting everything done as well as you'd like or in the fashion that others think is needed ... you're in the trenches and they are not.

  8. Well I sure hope that woman from the Community Care Access Centre does follow through and you get HELP!

I can imagine that having the chaos from painting would be difficult for Himself (it was hard for YOU, and you are not confused). But, on the other hand, obviously painting is something that had to be done. So . . . have to live through it, which you seem to have done!

You can tell just slightly they looks a little different in places. I hope that organization can help you out. You really need it. It makes me tired just reading all that you do! Hang in there and enjoy your weekend! I think some ice cream would help too!:) lol

  10. Hi Lynda: The memes are good and the leaves look real pretty. Really glad CCAC finally called and hope they will provide some help with himself. He really needs whatever you can get for him. And since your kids don't seem to want to help with taking him places, hopefully they will be able to help with that. Have a good night. Hugs Brenda
