A new day to get it right-

Good morning ---  still muggy outside--and hot---They are telling  us, this might be our last day of the terrifically high heat--with maybe rain to-morrow-----
Big Beau goes to the vet this afternoon----He is overdue for his shots--and they should check his heart--He is the guy with A Fib--not on meds for it now, but his first 2 yrs he was on 6 pills a day---- We were happy when he survived the first year--He is 8 yrs old now----understands english--and hates the car-- it will be interesting getting to the vet in town--

I just heard there are 251 fires still burning around the Northwest Territories---  People are now able to go back to their homes in Yellowknife today--  That whole city had been evacuated due to a fire which is contained now. I still see small, very loud planes flying over here-- which Son#2 said they are "spotters"--- checking for fires---

And I hear the Bank of Canada is going to announce to-day if interest rates are going to rise again---Lord love a Duck!--I sure hope they do not rise anymore--

Yesterday it turned out that there was no Day Care for Himself-We drove all the way there, only to be told it had been cancelled due to a staff shortage---so----  I went to a grocery store-- bought a small amount of groceries--well--about $ 100---(that is a small amount to-day)-It is so much easier to put that amount away---into the friges, the cupboards and the freezer-

This is my oldest brother --the one in the nursing home, that, in the beginning wanted to run away--(He absolutely loves it there now and is so much better now also)--but---  (that big "butt" eh?)---  DO NOT WRITE HIM----  LOL--Remember? I had  you all send him a card?----   That was my mistake ----  I guess his son   saw the cards and imagined all of you were after him--or something crazy like that---but--he does look pretty good in that picture---well, you never know eh?-- You try to help someone, and it turns into a huge mess!---  But-----We all tried I guess! ---  I suppose we should "mind our own business"--not interfere with some one's silly family--  a lesson learned for me!

So, I am rattling on here--I must get Lopez out-- and Beau--and -to-day really is a brand new day--AND--here we are---a part of it--Can we make to-day special?----There will never be another day like this day--

We  can be awesome to-day----a smile  is a good thing--- a happy mindset-- don't allow anyone  to  "upset your  applecart "---(as my Dad used to say--)--could I be "positive" for the whole day?--- Pretend we are this dancer--- I am sure she is not worrying about a hike in that "Interest rate"-----only concentrating on her  dance--

Live----  love-----  laugh------  sing------- and be awesome ---

  1. Oh my. Good luck to you and Beau for the vet visit.

Sorry Himself’s day care was cancelled. **SIGH**

Your brother does look good. Sorry that his son felt people were ‘after his DAD’ sending cards, but nothing you can do about that. *SIGH*

On the road today, so a fly by hi!

  3. It sounds like you have a great mind set today! Me, too. Went great with the pets I sit...the little chihuahua let me pet him, I put a diaper on him, an he is where he is supposed to be with the other dog!
"Speaking" pf chihuahuas...I was sent on FB a post with veterinarian's signs. One said: if a tree falls in a forest 500 mines away, a chihuahua will bark at it.
My Sadie is going to try to get some chores done today.
Next time I go for the pets on the far side of town, I need to go to Lucky's vet for prescriptions. Tranquilizers so I can get him crated and to the vet's for his checkup.
It's cool here today with a periodic drizzle. 68F. (20C)
I fear our summer is over.
Good luck with Beau at the vet's...and in the car!

    1. That is so funny what your vet said about a Chihuahua barking--because it is so true-He seems to hear everything--more than big Beau--- Funny too--because I have to give Beau a mild sedation-before we put him in the car--- as he is so nervous in the car -He had 2 shots and more tic meds-glad that is over--We had a rainy day today but it is still pretty hot out there-Lynda

  4. Good morning, Lynda! It is the last hot day here in Ohio, too. A few showers over the next day or so but in the low 70’s. Thinking of Beau today and wishing him a great vet visit. It is much easier to put away a smaller amount of groceries. I had a big order last week but this week will be small. I prefer it that way. Enjoy your day. Hugs!

  5. It's Kathy. Our awful heat wave has broken - woke up to much cooler temps which they say will continue for awhile. But disappointed that we didn't get the rain they were promising! Oh well, Daisy and I have gotten a routine of watering at the end of the day - just before I put my pj's on for the night! Your brother looks like he's happy there, I'm glad he's adjusted so well. I always thought my mother would enjoy being in a Senior Living Center, she was so social. But nope, she refused! Have a lovely day!

  7. Great inserts again today. Love your positive, upbeat, can do attitude.
Your brother does look good. Clueless on your nephews reaction to the cards as they did brighten your brothers days. I'm just happy brother adjusted and isnt trying to run away.
Good luck with big, smart, handsome. Beau today.
Perhaps you can get someone from the Lodge to text or call you if they are Closed? Just a suggestion. Will you try for a different day this week?. I was Hoping doc could go to the Lodge several times a week and eat lunch while you do whatever.
I prefer small grocery orders. Sticker shock a bit more palatable and much easier to drag inside and put away.
Interest rates will be what they will be. I won't worry about that as I have no control
Did you get the geriatric Dr. to agree to come see himself?
Take it as easy as you can today. Managing big Beau is a big job.
Cooler in St.Louis but we didn't get the predicted rain, which we need.
    Be safe
Play your piano and sing for the pups.

  8. Hope you've been having an awesome Wednesday. We are under Air Quality Alert down here in the middle of the US thanks to those Northwestern Canada fires' sending the smoke via the jetstream, so kid sis as I will meet at the mall to walk inside instead of our usual outdoor walk.

Hope Beau has a good vet visit and doesn't get too upset over the car ride!

  9. Hi Lynda: Hope Beau did ok with the vet visit. He is such a handsome dog! There needs to be better communication from the Lodge. Sounds like your brother's one son doesn't want your brother to get into any friendships or have any extra friends when it was only about making him feel better! Sure is hot today but it's coming to an end unfortunately. Have a good night. Hugs Brenda
