You have more courage than you dream--

Good morning to you--I have been up  since 3-30am--  Son#2 texted me  around then to let me know he had landed in London, England---- I never looked at the clock--so thought it was 5-30am----so stayed up--fed the 2 dogs-- and then-- looked at a clock, which said,  a little after 3-30am--I thought, "Oh that clock must need new batteries"-----SO I STAYED UP--thinking it was later--put the laundry in-etc etc----and--FINALLY____  another clock chimed 4am----Whatta crazy morning-----

I lay down on the sofa and did get an extra hour of sleep---

Himself is very angry-- because he is going to the Lodge-Son #1 is coming to get him-- take my car  to get him there, as there is no way himself could climb into Son#1's truck---Son#3 is going to bring him home at 11-30am---AND_-I HAVE THE PAINT LADY coming at 8am--How on earth am I ever going to handle all this, I do not know--  The dogs will be upset also--

I think the dogs will have to stay in the sunroom-----We shall see---

So, for to-day , I   hope your day goes well--I shall be thinking about you----You do have more courage than you can ever imagine--

  3. Good morning! Sorry you had the time mix up. Glad you got an hour back on the couch. I know you always like when the pilot checks in. Too bad himself is upset about the Lodge. Good thing your son is taking him. It is always hard to have people in with dogs. I am getting work in my laundry room soon and that is where my dogs have their pads, food and water. That will not be fun! I dread it! It is what they are used to so I wish it was any other room but that one! Hope it all goes very smoothly for you! Get some rest when you can. Hugs from Ohio!:)

  5. Oh my! Well I guess you got an early start on your busy day! You will need a nap this afternoon! I know it is a hassle with the paint lady there, but you will be so happy when it is all done! I had someone take down the wallpaper and then paint both my kitchen and dining room and it was an awful mess for a while, but certainly worth it! I was so happy that I had him do the same in my master bathroom....and it turned out so pretty! (The wallpaper was so ugly and dated - big flashy flowers and greenery! Now it is very calming with some lavender accents! So hang in there - it will be worth it!

  6. Well it's be a long day! Glad son #1 is taking himself to the Lodge. It may give him a chance to see how he acts when upset. Hope the painting goes well and the dogs stay out of the way. And here's hoping you get a good nap this afternoon. Hugs Brenda

  7. I had to chuckle at the thought that the clock needed new batteries. Sounds like something I would do. Just as well he is out of the house as the painter gets started. That is always the most confusion. Good luck and have a nice day. D

  8. I hope it all goes well today, for Himself And you and the painting gal. What a morning you had, and one of the early signs of dementia is having trouble with telling time, so we gals need to think twice about time questions, I need to be aware of that, too. Take care!

  9. It's Kathy. No, I didn't make the apple crisp - started feeling ill after lunch and pretty much just laid low for the rest of the day. Also, I thought maybe I'd make apple muffins because we are going away for a few days on Thursday. Something healthy to snack on in the car! I'm so sorry you had so little sleep last night. I hope today goes well for you. I found myself on the couch this morning also - just couldn't relax and fall asleep! I'm glad your sons are helping with himself so you can have some time to yourself!

  10. What an upside-down start to your day! I'm so glad the sons are helping with the drop-off and pick-up. And in a way, I'm hoping Himself is still in a "off" mood so at least one of the sons can see what it's like to be on the receiving end of his anger. In any event, try to visualize how nice your home will look when the painting is done -- fresh and new!

  11. Hugs to you Lynda. What a start to your day.
Glad to hear boys are taking and picking up DH. Gives you a bit of breathing room to handle house tasks. Is this the same painter that wanted to come when you had 4 Dogs? Doesnt matter...just deal with today and focus on how great it will look when completed. Too bad DH won't stay all day but at least he went.
Hoping you get a chance for a nap break sometime today but maybe not.
    Hang in
Hoping it goes well with dogs and himself is in a good mood when he returns.
    Stay strong.
    Hugs

  12. Lynda, you have all that strength, courage, calm, etc. yourself. You pass it on to us!
I would think Himself would love being with his son! Who knows what goes on in his mind?
You did a lot for so early in the day. Was the sun even up yet? That may have given you a clue as to the time.
That lady I was venting about yesterday? I told her first thing this morning when she asked me to take her somewhere, "Ok. But only 2 rides a week. She ended up saying, "I will never ask you again." We'll see how long that lasts.
Mostly relaxing today. Retirement check comes tomorrow. Then paying bills and shopping.
Sometimes there's change, but sometimes it's the same old stuff.
