You all doing okay?

A new day---with sunshine--- and there could be lollipops-Well, you never know---yesterday I did cut the front yard--rolled up some hoses also--To-day I shall cut the  side lawn and the dog pen-- I decided that I might as well stop all the watering as it so much cooler and we know what  the next season is going  to be--

This morning I tried to take down one more Hummingbird feeder (Yesterday I brought one feeder in )---but--- all of a sudden , there were 2 humming birds  sitting on 2 feeders---so----I guess I am rushing  their trip South-----  but---- HAPPY FALL Y'ALL!---  Finally the AC is off--windows are open--and the cooler air is wonderful--

I wanted to grocery shop this AM---  but---  (always that big "butt"!)_when I came back home with Lopez, Himself was on the phone asking a workman to come and look at a pipe on the roof--I  took the phone away from him immediately , as the last thing we need is a repairman out here , fixing something that does not need fixing-Himself waits until I am out of here-- He also has no idea  about banking, nor does he know what is in the bank account--or even what needs to be paid--AND HE DOES NOT LIKE ME TELLING HIM WHAT TO DO OR WHAT NOT TO DO--Lord love a Duck!--Always a surprise---when I come back from where ever---and a worry if I take him with me as what if he gets out of the vehicle?--- So far, this has not happened--

What would I ever do  without all of you?--Thank you for being here--allowing me to vent a little-- I do appreciate you all so much--your suggestions----ideas to make my day  better---Too bad the Queen isn't around anymore also, as I'm sure that she heard me  and always told me to relax--that everything will turn out the way it should-

To-day can be special, if we make it special--I just know it--  "Don't sweat the small stuff"--- Remember that we are stronger than we can imagine--

We really are that artist  of our life--- and, it is us who holds that paintbrush-----Have a good day--- and--think positive thoughts--

  1. Hello! I refuse to comply to Fall! Hee hee. I’m not ready for jeans, coats, and sweaters.
I went to my grandson’s football game last night and it was a beautiful night! I did wear a jacket…. He did a great job! He was one happy boy!
Those are the things that bring me joy!
Also had lunch with some good friends. You are so right…we need to find our joy. Then we can deal with the other “noise” around us.
I’m so sorry about Himself. It has to be so difficult and you do have the right attitude. You have every reason to vent. It’s how us women continue on. Also, crying in the shower…. Life can be the poops.
But, we are here for one another! Hugs to you. Play the piano and enjoy the yard while ya can! I’m roasting tomatoes today for the freezer! Yum Yum

  2. Himself is evidently still concerned about stuff with the house. That's good. Glad you caught him though, if it was unnecessary. I supposed he wouldn't agree to check with you first if he finds something amiss?
Probably not as he still considers himself as "the man of the house."
So you never got your shopping done? That's too bad as the stores are always busier on the weekends I find.
My morning was busy with pet sitting, paying bills, etc.
This afternoon I'm hoping my Sadie can do some more things around here.
I like the cooler weather, too...but not COLD. Brrr. The leaves have very little color yet, but the temp and breeze say 'autumn.'
All for now, dear. Hope your day goes 'swimmingly.'
You do know, I trust, that we appreciate you enormously, too. You also let us vent about our issues. Therapists say 'journaling' our thoughts and feeling is good for us. That's just like what we do here! We just use an electronic notebook!

  3. Good morning, Lynda! It is cloudy today and tomorrow in Ohio with cool temps. The windows are open and as I sat here drinking coffee this morning I heard geese. I immediately thought of you! Lol Do you know that hurricane last week sent pink flamingos here to Ohio?? What a sight that must have been for the spectators! Oh goodness, you were hard at work mowing and then had to find himself on the phone doing that. We sure have to find lots of patience to get through the day, don’t we? So glad my husband is off work and on dog duty this weekend! I need the break before my stressful dental Monday! But I am being Sadie in between rest. We are never done to just relax! I know you must need breaks! You do way too much and need help. I hope the Lodge is open Monday! Hang in there! Sending hugs your way!

  4. I can see the trouble: can't win leaving Himself home with the phone, can't win taking him in the car. Sending wisdom and endurance vibes your way.

You probably know, but in case you didn't get over to the blog, Rubia has crossed the Rainbow Bridge, and I'm down to one cat. Life is always changing. We just have to ride the waves as it does.

(( hugs )) and have a good weekend.

  6. Always something going on at your house. How in the world does DH know that anything might be amiss with a pipe on the roof??? And, he's able to find the number and call the handyman. I find that interesting. Glad you stopped the call and didn't get handyman involved. I understand that himself is clueless on finances as its the same at my house..
Just another thing I handle...like you, I handle it all.
LOVING the cooler temps, breeze, Sunshine and open windows. Love airing out the house and not running AC will reduce the bill.
Hummingbirds not gone yet. They'll be around for a bit stocking up on fuel for the long flight.
Hard to predict if himself would get out of the car and walk away. Very hard to predict. Glad center is open Monday. I'm hoping you can use Lodge services more than once a week as you need that break.
Play your piano for the pups and Sushi.
Please don't overdue it grass cutting.
    Be well and safe.
    Take care of YOU
    Hugs

    2. Wow! Good think you were able to head Himself off @ the pass before an unneeded repair was scheduled. So hard!

  7. My hubs would buy stuff then tell me and let me figure out how to pay for it. I finally asked for his CC...he was not a happy camper, but I told him we could talk about a purchase and if we needed it, I would give him a CC....The things I had to pay off, you would not believe.
