It's a Beautiful life!---

It is going to be a wonderful day--  I just feel it on my bones!--We did not have frost overnight---  but , almost. This morning it is 2 degrees---  very close to frost!
no  mosquitoes--  no snow---  lotza leaves  beginning to fall--warmer clothing----and we can even turn on the oven to bake, without overheating  the house-----NO SNOW TO SHOVEL---  (yet)-- no hummingbird feeders to fill--("The boid is on the wing--but that's absoid-- I thought the wing was on the boid!"-) -----Mom just shouted that into my brain---  --and there is more----

- winter boots waiting by the door , ready to grab---  not much more grass to cut--  My goodness--The list is endless with the  change of seasons--

Yesterday Himself came back from his "Daycare" program and he absolutely seemed almost normal---  He was so happy-- more like he used to be--and he was already talking about returning Friday and staying there for lunch--I guess it's the stimulation of different people to talk to and the various activities they do--

So--We are in a mess---  the paint Lady will be here soon---Yesterday, she "mudded""--supposed to begin the painting to-day-- I certainly am happy that she is only doing the main level---  Pictures are off all the walls-- drop  stuff all over the floors----BUT----  the 2 dogs do not mind her-- which is wonderful-- (you know I stayed home yesterday to make sure they were OK with her)-----  She carries Dog Cookies in her pockets , just in case she runs into any chaos with these canines--

Son#2, the Pilot  is in  London, England--took a train--north to Hertford and sent some pictures of the area---It looks so quaint!

The tiny red thing in the above picture is a phone Booth--- so unique eh?-- no more telephone booths in Canada

Here he is with some relatives of his wife--  with the train station-- He travelled on the train to their home

the train station

--I must get the dogs out-- That paint Lady will be here soon---It is quite cold outside-- 2 degrees-- feels freezing--Brrrrrrr-

...............One day we will look back and easily say, "Yes.....It was a beautiful life."-------

  1. Good morning
It makes me happy to hear that himself comes home in a good mood. You're probably right about his interacting with others plus he gets lots of attention. I hope you can ease him into going more often and staying a bit longer. One step at a time.
Of course the house is a mess but - that big butt LOL - it will all be worth it and you'll enjoy fresh surroundings. Happy to hear the pups aren't an issue. Hang on. It will be fine. Hugs
Enjoy this day. It is a beautiful life full of blessings.
Love sons pictures. What a quaint town.
I'm glad the boys helped with himself yesterday. Hope to hear more of that.
The gorgeous, cool, sunny weather continues in St.Louis.
Charlie Brown and Snoopy got it right.
Have a blessed day. Stay strong and positive.
    Hugs

  2. Fall is a beautiful time of year with the leaves turning colors and the weather a little cooler. I am so happy to hear that Himself is enjoying the Daycare Program. It is good for him to get out and meet other people. The pictures Son #2 took of the area that he visited are so pretty that I wish I could be dropped off there to wander and enjoy. Take care and enjoy your day.

  3. Love pics your son sends you....so nice and clear...does he have a camera or does he take them with his phone? Yay that the mudding is done and the painting can begin. Especially glad to hear that the dogs are doing well with your painter! Also so good to know that Fred enjoyed his day at the Lodge! I still am feeding hummers and the weather will be in the 80's here all this week. Big day for me today as the people are coming to close the pool! So happy that I will have one less thing to deal with everyday! The nights have been really cool and no one was coming to use the pool so it is good that it is being closed. I had to drag all the furniture from the concrete deck to the garage to store it yesterday - daughter was mad at me for not waiting until she could come help, but I just took my time and used the "hand truck" - I call it a "dolly"....and so it wasn't so hard! I had the kids get me the dolly for Christmas last year and it has helped me so much! They thought I was crazy for asking for it, but now I think they understand what a great gift it was for me! hahaha!

  4. Love this Autumn weather . . . no snow, not too cold, not too warm. JUST RIGHT

HURRAY! Seems like daycare is wonderful for Himself and good for you, too. YEAH!

What wonderful pictures DS #2 sent! Just beautiful.

Good luck w/the paint lady. We are in the midst of having the outside of the house painted. Not ready to tackle inside yet! *SIGH*

LOVE the Peanuts meme. Needed that today.

  5. Sunny and 67 in Ohio! It is a beautiful day but I must paint the laundry room this afternoon. I prefer to be going somewhere but Friday we will go to our county fair for lunch. So happy to hear himself was so good and looking forward to going back Friday! Love the photos from your son. I love what he shares with you and us. Thanks to him! Your painting will make you feel so good this winter as we look at the walls a bit more. Lol Have a terrific Tuesday!

    2. The contractor won't be here until next week to work in there so I decided to put it off until the weekend. The dogs were a bit wild and figured this weekend for my husband to watch would make my life easier. lol So sorry you have a mess. It seems it is always a mess having workers in. Especially, with pets.

  6. So glad Himself had a good time at the Lodge, and might stay and eat there next time, too. Gives him confidence to be out and busy. Happy the dogs are not worried about the painter, perhaps because she is female and they are not fearful of her voice. Those are great pictures from your son of the English relatives, too. Thank him from us, please . Take care of yourself in the cooler temps now. Here in Texas, it’s 95 all week, might have hail storms and showers, we do need rain, have a drought.

  8. It's Kathy. I'm not surprised that himself is happier when he comes home. It must be so boring to be at home all day every day - especially when he was such an important person in your community! I'm glad he's excited to go back and have lunch! I hope the paint lady was able to get a lot done today. We had window guys here a few years back - windows off, doors opened. I couldn't keep Daisy in her kennel all day but they were so very kind to her. She made friends with each of the men - and stopped barking at every noise! Wow, that was cold this morning. We're in a mini heat spell - temps in the afternoon hitting 80. But rain is coming in over the weekend and then our temps will be more fall like again! Hope your day was great - mine was very busy but we got a lot done!

  9. Himself is happier, that's great! Could he go MTW?
You will get through it all, even the paint...and be glad it's done.
I hope the paint lady isn't the one who was so rude. Or maybe she just had a change of attitude.
The photos are marvelous. What a great family you have!
There are no more phone booths, I don't believe, in the entire US, either.
I am posting very late. You might not even see this. Had a busy day checking what bills to pay and fixing stuff.
I promise I will comment earlier tomorrow, as I usually do.
    It's already time to prepare for sleep. {{{HUGS}}}
