another day in the PAINT World!

 It is a beautiful day AGAIN------The trees are red--yellow and orange---with the green in between--absolutely stunning----This is Algoma Country--famous for the red Maple trees in this area--It is a wonderful time to be alive--

Himself is at Daycare--- son#1 took him down for 9am------ Hopefully Son#3 can bring him home as the Paint  Lady will be here  still--She is finished  to-morrow--at least for now---  and, isn't Labour Day this coming weekend?---  --If so, it will be a Holiday Weekend-- a  long weekend-- you gotta love that! --NO-----  I JUST DISCOVERED  IT IS THANKSGIVING, EARLY OCTOBER--NOT LABOUR DAY__which is over--- I must have PAINT on the brain--
"-LIFE IS WAY TOO SHORT TO LEAVE THE KEY TO YOUR HAPPINESS IN SOMEONE ELSE"S POCKET"-----I need to remember this--that everyone has an opinion---and sometimes one needs to hear these ideas---but--then one must make a decision to do what works for her or his own life--Of course we all know this!

I have Sadie (who you know is really "ME"-) waiting in the sunroom, chomping at the bit to come in  and do her work---and Connie, that Paint Person , down in the kitchen , bringing our kitchen up to date with the present times----It has been a lot of work for me--to de-clutter as she works--but--it is happening--

Hopefully-your day has started out right--remember that you are special---that there is only "ONE" of you, in this whole world------ and--Loved more than you know----and Smarter than we ever believe--- Why do we not think this?--

  1. Hi Lynda, it's Kathy. Yes, today I woke up feeling pretty darn happy to be waking up in my own house and my own very comfortable bed! We had another very long drive (10 hours exactly) with Daisy and I in the back seat. Poor Daisy was not a fan of this trip - she used to love going with us but the last time was 4 years ago visiting my daughter, SIN and grandchildren in Roanoke, VA. So once we arrived there were people she could play with. There were no friends in Deadwood! Now the task of putting everything away! I'm so glad that himself went to the center this morning - giving you some time to take care of your things! Also glad the Paint lady will be done tomorrow so you can get back to your routine! Have a good day.

  2. Hi Lynda…loved the wise words that you shared today…never hurts to be reminded, does it?! Once the painting project is finished, you will be glad that you went thru the chaos and hassle! I, too, hate that upheaval but remind myself continually that it’s only temporary and will end.
    Hope Himself has a good Day care day! ❤️. Eissa7

  3. Good news
    ...boys took dad to Lodge and paint lady should be done tomorrow. This chaos does give you the opportunity to declutter but it is a lot of upheaval at one time. Too bad DH can't or won't stay longer or go more often to Lodge so you have more freedom. No doubt Sadie has extra duties with things being shifted around. Hang in. Hoping DH returns in a better frame of mind.
    Your trees are glorious. I'm afraid ours will merely drop leaves without changing colors as its so terribly dry here. What beautiful scenery you get to enjoy.
    Remember how strong, brave and loved YOU are.
    Blessings in your day.
    Hugs

  4. So glad Himself is at day care. Should improve his mood for the rest of the day at least...I hope.
    The dogs are putting up with the paint lady. You are decluttering...all good stuff. Don't work Sadie too hard.
    Trees are great here, too. It's mostly cloudy. Sprinkles now and then, but a great temp of 70F.
    Wonderful memes. Saved a couple of them.
    Spent the morning taking someone to doc appointment, pharmacy, had to get gas and pick up something at the grocery for another friend. This afternoon and evening I am going NOWHERE.
    Day after tomorrow I need to street park. I need to wrack my brain to be sure I have all I need for 3 days. If I get a good spot and leave it, I will come back and it will be gone. I'd need to park in a lot way down a big hill from our building.
    I hope both our days will be hunky dory (mama said that) from here on out. {{{HUGS}}}

    2. We're to park on the street in front of our building. Room for only a few cars. If we can't park there, we have to park in a lot that is way down a hill from our building. Camping I did in my younger days...loved it! Nite Nite. {{{HUGS}}}

  5. Oh I love it . . . life IS too short to leave the key to your happiness in someone else’s pocket. So glad that Son #1 took Himself to daycare and Son #3 will pick him up. I am so happy you get a break. Even though the reason you’re staying home is because of the painter. It will be good to have that done.

    My dear, you are WAY beyond special. . . .you are precious!

    Beautiful Autumn tree photo!

  6. Hi Lynda: Glad your sons are looking to take himself to and from day care. Hopefully he will go again on Friday. And remember there is only one of you as well and you cannot do everything alone. And like you say life is too short to leave the key in someone else's pocket. Nice picture of the trees. Try to relax tonight. Take care Brenda

  7. Glad you got a bit of a break by Himself's Day Care day! The painter has been doing a great job, and you'll be feeling so good! My brick guy dropped off the bricks and mortar today and says he'll be back to actually start the construction part of the job tomorrow. I'm not holding my breath, considering... but hopeful!

    Have a good rest of your Monday!

  8. Oh, I'm glad your sons handled transport for Himself's daycare. I know it is stressful for you having to declutter and having the Paintlady in ... but, I'll bet having a bit less clutter and lovely paint colors will perk up your days.

    And I agree with you that it's okay to take in others' opinions and viewpoints and taking a different direction than what they think is best. You're the one who must like your life. :)
