A Monday morning reminder

Good Morning--  No snow falling-- cold tho! ---AND--It is Daycare Day--mid November--only 4 -5 months until  April-- Talk about wishing yer life away!-

-9-50am----now--Himself is at Daycare --- and both dogs were out --so here I am--with Sadie chomping at the bit, to get her cleaning done!---  Son#2 just called--is in LA----with his daughter, who is in her final year of University in Ottawa, and wanted to fly with her Dad to LA---  I just cannot imagine how neat that would be, for her, to be seated beside someone on the Dreamliner, and saying, "Yeah, my Dad is the Pilot on this plane"----- Can you just imagine???

This AM., I was feeling sorry for myself----having to do so much around here--- plus one of the dogs had vomited right beside the front door, plus that computer guy who came out to help me with  my Mac, which was not typing right--BECAUSE I HAD A BAND AID ON MY TYPING FINGER--and he walked out in a huge huff--thinking I was the stupidest person ever to not know  about the bandaid and a computer----  (He doesn't realize that when I was growing up, computers were not even in existence)---so,  I am trying to  stand up and forget about all that sob stuff, and just accept that "stuff happens"-- and I will never call him again---

Yes, I must walk away---- but,  I still look at my new "Brother" printer and wonder how on earth will I ever change the cartridge in it--when the time comes??--and----  grown kids do not want to be called on to help--- (except the Pilot)--
I must stop the weeping and whaling and remember that I must be strong--Lord love a Duck eh??--
"Stuff" will work out--It usually does in time--Doncha think?

Strong women become strong by dealing with life's dilemmas -----  So, --ever onward here---- Sadie  says hello to you all, and she hopes your day is fabulous---

  1. No wonder you are pissed off, Himself goes to Daycare, and poor YOU has to clean the stupid house!! Again and again! You have no fun. You have a right to be angry, but are stuck with that huge house. Too bad you can’t move to a rental, leave the monster house empty all winter. So sorry for the way it is now. Darn it all, but it is ok to be not pleased about it. A lesson for many of us older people. Sigh……

  2. Sometimes we just have to laugh at such incidents (like the printer guy) because otherwise we'd cry. I can think of one specific incident with taking the car in because it had a flashing indicator light... that it turns out I was totally overreacting to... after I'd had the car for 3 years or so. I had a red face all the way home after reading in the owners' manual that this particular light ALWAYS came on when you locked the car, and I just hadn't NOTICED before.

Shook my head and gave myself three or four excuses: I'm female, blonde, and old-er... those mechanics will probably have that in their list of "can you believe this customer" stories for a while!

You and Sadie have a nice chat over tea, and I'm so glad that the day care is helping take some of the burden off!

    ((( hugs )))

  3. Loved the inserts.
The good part about daycare is himself comes home in a better mood. The bad part is the travel time and Sadie has to adjust her hours taking care of that BIG house.
The computer tech sounds like a person without any customer service skills. What a bozo. Who knew a bandaid could cause a big problem. Certainly not me. Dont let him get under your skin. Poof gone and over.
When the time comes to change printer cartridge pilot son can likely talk you through it or maybe there's a number to call. Kids don't know how we struggle with things. Technical stuff isn't something we grew up with. Sigh . Not to stress over any of it. Things always work out.
Hoping snow stays away. I just hate that you get out and tackle it. UGH. But we won't worry about that today.
Lots of frustrations (sick dog) in your day already. Hoping the rest of today is better. Maybe find some time haha to get lost in your piano. Do something that makes you happy.
How great that pilots daughter could fly with him. Now thats neat.
Strong women do become strong dealing with ALL OF IT but we do have to vent as it seems like too much some days.
    Take care.
    Hugs

    1. Never try to type with a thick bandaid on your index finger--It was a thick rubber wrap that I was using one time on Beaus foot-- Man oh man--Who would think that would cause all the typing to go crazy--- Anyway--I need to find a computer guy without an anger problem--Son#2 and his daughter are having fun on LA--Ill post their pictures tomorrow--Lynda

    2. Hint: Check the printer manufacturer's website for videos on how to change the printer cartridge first. If they don't have one, check youtube.com. I have used youtube.com videos to learn how to do lots of things in my home. The best part is you watch the video multiple times or pause it at anytime and no one one cares. ba_coy from Sparkpeople

  5. Glad you've got a bit of time to yourself, well...and Sadie.
Honey, don't worry about the techie guy and his thoughts about you! NEVER worry about other's opinions of you or anything else! We all have our own perspectives on things...and that's the way it should be. Above all, do not 'beat yourself up' for a little mistake. As you say, it all works out in the end.
Your son and granddaughter will have a great time together. I always tried to spend one on one time with each of my kids. Bet you did, too.
My Sadie has laundry in...no one was in the laundry room. Doing sheets, towels, some undies and a couple shirts.
Will go for gas and bananas while the clothes are in the dryer.
It's awful cleaning up puke from out pets, but I do not think dogs do it as often as cats.
    Here's hoping your day proceeds just as you want it to! {{{HUGS}}}

  6. Hi Lynda: Don't worry about having computer issues and the computer guy thinking you are stupid. When I have minor issues that don't seem minor to me I always call the guy I found. Fortunately he keeps his thoughts to himself which is what anyone in a customer service role should do! And re the Brother printer. I have one and I've looked it up online and there are youtube videos to watch. I suggest you do the same thing. Don't think you are stupid and can't handle issues because you are strong and you can handle it all. And whichever dog was sick at least tried to get by the door instead of your bed! Cheer up and remember you are strong!

  7. Well, glad that you had a little time to get SOME things done while Himself was @ daycare. It is the toughest job ever being caretaker and juggling all the other things that need to be done. NOT EASY.

As for the printer cartridge, I hope that the youtube video helps. I'm not good @ it either.

AND for sure, don't mind what anyone things. They are not in your shoes, and obviously don't have the capacity to understand that not everyone is tech savvy. After all if we all were tech savvy, that person wouldn't have a job!

Sorry Beau was ill. Poor guy. POOR YOU! Hope he's feeling better.

HUGS to you. You're doing the best you can.

  8. Good evening, Lynda. I hope your day went well. It was beautiful in Ohio today but I had so many errands to do that it wasn't fun and just made me in a funk! It's ok that you were feeling the same! I think we get tired of thinking and doing and not enough down time. It is so nice that your granddaughter went with her pilot dad. Very cool that she can say that her dad is the pilot on the plane. My husband had a pilot customer the other day and he told the customer that my online friend had an Air Canada pilot son. lol My husband feels like he knows you, too. lol Have a restful night!:)

If you have the instruction book for your printer there should be instructions in there for changing the inker doodad...I had to learn to do mine also.
