Classy Sassy and a bit Smart Assy---

The best advice ever---"BE AMAZING"---Get out there and "BE AMAZING!"-------[---[

-a winter storm predicted here--arriving by noon--Hopefully I can get Beau to the groomer--AND BACK---- before it hits around "noonish"---No snow falling here yet---

Yesterday Himself got to see a foot Care Lady--- in her home---She did an amazing job, in a short time--(my kind of woman!)-It was quite an experience---Her home was like going back in time- She was a very short little woman, living in a "story Book house--"-----Her house was so full of interesting furniture---At first I just wanted to go and wait for Himself in the car, but Himself wanted me to stay--and you know, she had so much character, I found her very interesting.

She had moved  to our city many years ago from Toronto--where she was a member of the "College of Nurses" there--I told her that she probably had marked my Nursing exam way back when---and since I am a Reg. Nurse, (once a nurse-always a nurse)-we had a great deal to chat about--We were 2 "older women"-- (ahem)-going back in time, and chatting up a storm about our lives in our younger years--------I left there thinking, "Never judge a book by its cover!"

--And now I must get these 2 dogs out--and hope and pray that this storm does not hit when they say---and---of course,  I must be strong and  not worry  about a bit of snow--(like a few feet)--

Enjoy this day--- It only comes once---

  1. Sure hope the weather cooperates for you and Beau to get to and from the groomer safely.

That’s awesome that Himself had foot care and you enjoyed the woman! And how lovely she is a nurse. (You’re right! Once a registered nurse, always a registered nurse . . . to the bone!)

LOVE IT! Classy, sassy AND bad assy! AMEN to that.

  2. Just a quick comment to those that commented on the beach pictures you posted. I live in So Cal , and yes the beaches are beautiful, but trust me, we pay for it. Cost of living here is much much higher than elsewhere! I would love to move somewhere cheaper, problem is, when you’re born and raised here, you don’t do winter.

    1. I have heard some of the prices in California and they are out-of-sight. I also believe you have more ihan share of immigration problems. All in all there is no "ideal" place to live! I am in a small mid-west town which brings it own problems such as lack of decent jobs to keep the children from moving away and the need to drive 25 miles or more for any specialized medical attention. But, like you it is home and here I stay. Have a nice day!

  3. It's Kathy. How nice that himself had some foot care yesterday. When my parents were older they had a senior center close to them that did foot care once a week. They went about once a month and it was the highlight of their day! I hope the storm holds off until you and Beau are safely home from the groomers. Daisy has her vet visit today and groomer's tomorrow - not the best planning on my part. She will not be very happy with me! But once we're home today we have no other place to go. No snow here - yet. But possible rain coming today! Have a great day.

  4. Loved the classy sassy a little smart assy. Love It! Its me.
Hope you get Beau back home before bad weather hits. We know he's not crazy about the car.
Its in a crazy warm stretch in St.Louis as in 82F and sunny today. This won't last long but its nice for now.
The foot lady and her house sound very interesting. I'm surprised someone is allowed to do footcare in their home. As far as I know, only a podiatrist/MD can do that here. How lovely your enjoyable visit sounds. Getting out around new people is interesting. Yes. Once a nurse always a nurse.
    Be safe up there.
    Hugs

  7. Yes, coffee makes it all possible! Hope you had a great day and escaped the storm before getting Beau home. I tried to walk both yorkies for the first time today and that did not go well. Maybe in the Spring. The foot lady story sounds like it turned out great. It was warm here in Ohio. I will sleep with the window open a bit tonight. That won't happen too many more nights I am afraid. Enjoy your night!:)
