Good day ---- We are in a snow storm here--a very wet rainy snow---Below is what it looks like from my window in the study--and I have shovelled the bricks in front of the garage, twice----but--again, I cannot see those bricks as they are covered with snow ----On the lake side of the house, the snow is covering up everything also-and I cannot even see the lake. Below are my wonderful "rocks"---This what we used to look like----Now we see this-----and it's a snow mixed with rain---
As you can tell, I LOVE rocks--- I had a landscaper move the above rocks here, to protect the mail box--As a matter of interest, no mail ever arrives in our mail box-- I painted it years ago--and our weekly newspaper is deposited in there-
--sent from Son#2 who is at the parade right now---
The 119th SANTA CLAUS PARADE is to-day , in Toronto--and they , I hear, have bright sun-- no snow falling-- When our children were younger, and we lived closer to Toronto, we would bundle up all 5 kids, and sit on the curb, in Toronto, and watch that parade--FREEZING COLD------Then we would take the 5 children, to the toy department, of Sears , or Eaton's--- and buy toys--- Those stores are both closed now I believe. Christmas was a big event--- and so much fun!Lopez and Beau are waiting for their nap---- Himself is already having his nap-----as is Himself---So, how is your day going?--- What are you doing to-day? I hope that where ever you are, and whatever you are planning to do, you will dance---sing a song----
Remember--- The rule is------you have to dance a little bit in the day, before you leave the house because it changes the way you walk out in the world---Just try it----- It really works--
A good thing, that little dance to start the day! A little song in the heart! Sunday (today) is making progress on decorating for Christmas. The little tree is up, and ornamented, for now. Taking a bit of a break. Later other decor will come out.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a good nap, dance, and Sunday! You, and Himself, and Lopez and big Beau.
(( hugs ))
shovelled all day-Lynda
DeleteEnjoy your book and your day, and stay safe out in the snow, dangerous hobby nowadays. Son decorated out front this morning, was in the 30’s here in north Texas. Have a decent day, step carefully!
ReplyDeleteOh it sounds nice in Texas--Lynda
DeleteYou have gotten a lot of snow. It snowed here too but just a dusting on the ground. Loved all the photos. How fun it must have been to watch the Santa Clause parade. I could use some dancing today!!!
ReplyDeleteJust a terrible snowy day here-Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda: Can't believe all the snow you have. It's just cold here and soe raindrops falling - which is good for the Santa Claus parade where the pilot is.Supposed to get more rainy tonight and possibly a bit of snow over the next couple of days. Lopez looks so comfy and spoiled with all his blankets! Hope you also got to relax with your book. Be careful with all the snow shovelling. Hugs Brenda
ReplyDeleteI was shovelling all day--pretty bad -- LOl--Lynda
DeleteHope you enjoyed your nap. My sis in Kansas City said they got about 2 inches of snow, which isn't much....it is very gloomy out here, looks rainy more than anything.
ReplyDeleteI have been trying to re-arrange. It is hard to put my things all in one room, there just isn't room, and I gave away so much. My daughter just says get rid of it...it of course means nothing to her, and I am sure when I am gone she will donate everything I own.
She don't care if we put up a tree or not, so I am going to put my tree up down here...don't really have the spirit this year, but hoping
to push thru. David would not want me down in the dumps.
Darlene--Where is David??--Why are you moving??--and into one room??--What has happened?--Please email and can I help yu somehow??---My email is
Deletefldunloplake@vianet.ca --Please email me--or do yu want to phone me??
I hope you did dance, sing, nap and play your piano today.
ReplyDeleteI love parades and who doesn't love a Santa parade. Great fun.
Be careful out there...lots of wet snow
Cold, wind, rain in St.Louis. House cleaned, tree up and going out to shop for a few gifts and a few groceries.
Relax and enjoy today.
Hugs
So much snow-fell--I have been shovelling all day--- Lynda
DeleteMaybe you posted late. I kept refreshing the page for your blog and it kept coming up the same as yesterday. Then I looked at the list of blogs for November and saw there was a new one. I had to click that to get here!
ReplyDeleteWe got an inch or so of snow. Nothing like you did.
You took your kids to buy toys this early? Did you wrap them for Christmas? We used to wrap the gifts from mama and daddy. Santa would sneak his gifts under the tree after the kids were asleep. Filled the stockings, too. In the morning the kids could grab their stockings, but no gifts were opened until mama and daddy were there...with their coffee!
Nothing much today. My friend downstairs with the bariatric walker made a 2nd Thanksgiving dinner for the three of us that help her a lot.
She said it was to thank us. I'm tired of turkey and fixins' for a while.
It's already 11:25 P.M. now, so I'm headed off to bed. Hope you see this at some point. {{{HUGS}}}
I did post late--due to the snow storm--No--We never wrapped what was left in the living room from Santa----Yesterday all I did was shovel snow-- I feel bad that yu had a problem finding the blog--so sorry --but--eventually yu did- find it and I knw right away that you had posted a reply onto it--saw thAt this AM--= Lynda
DeleteWell, if I were closer, I'd hunt down that snow person and give him a talking-to! Have you already paid him? If so, I'd fire him pronto and ask for a refund. Even better, rally one or all of the local sons and ask them to deal with this guy, get your money back (if you've already paid), AND to make arrangements for a snow person who will do what he's hired to do! This is just so wrong. Bring in the big guns -- this is one of those times when telling your sons "I need help dealing with this situation" will rally the troops. (I hope)
