Another day of "Thanks-Giving"

 It is a day to celebrated----in the US------and even in CANADA, a day, to--give thanks---happy, happy--hug the family--- and friends--so, I am sending you all an enormous hug------

-We are blessed---- I am blessed---  son#2 is here visiting---  He has done so much to help us--- moving stuff--hung my favourite mirror this AM----(which was way too heavy for me to hang, and really , if we do move, perhaps it shouldn't be hung--)- --- taken the 2  dogs out--- bringing food here--- cooking- Chinese dishes---(Yu know he loves to eat)--bringing Chinese food home here for dinner-------It is so amazing how someone , many years younger, can do so much more than we  can do, right now--and, all I say is--"You think yu could do such and such?"---and low and behold, it is done----

Here I go again----Even when that wind is strong. we are stronger---and we must be---We can walk away from any thought  that undermines our peace of mind--

I read the statement below, and  I believe   "walking away" has given me strength---

HAPPY THANKS GIVING TO YOU ALL----in the U.S------and to all in CANADA---  I HOPE YOUR SUNDAY  IS A SPECIAL DAY ------- I HOPE YOU EVEN GET TIME FOR A WEE NAP----

  1. The same Happy Thanksgiving to all of you, the people who comment here and all of theirs. We do have so much to be Thankful for! Think of the blessings we have! Like your sonshine helping you, our pets, a wonderful meal with family and that strength you write about.
    I am getting ready to head to my daughter's house about 45 minutes away. I'm bringing a dish, a foil covered chocolate cookie for my grandson and a heart shaped peanut butter dog cookie for my granddog.
    It will be a wonderful day for all of us. We must remember those who can't come home for the holiday, though...pilots, the military, firefighters on a long shift, truckers, etc. Hopefully, they will also find some good in their day!
    Enjoy...and set your scale back 5 or 10 pounds! {{{HUGS}}}

  2. A Happy Thanksgiving to the whole world. Maybe if we all gave thanks and recognized each other as worthy of blessings, whether we agree with them about everything or not... the world could make it to that magical place called peace!

  3. It's Kathy. I love the photo of you and himself. I also read the "walk away" message. Very good advice! I am cooking a lot today but our dinner is tomorrow. I can't do it all in one day anymore. So I will have 2 days of the house smelling lovely. I'm so happy that your son is being so helpful, and even cooking. That's so great.

  5. Hi Lynda: The Walk Away Meme is really good and something all of us should practice. The picture of you and himself is really nice. I'm glad the pilot is really helping you a lot while he is there. Too bad he didn't live closer. I just heard the weather is starting to get worse up north at least the warnings of more snow are anyway. Hope he doesn't have problems driving back. Have a great evening. Hugs Brenda

  8. Marti here. So happy for you that your son is there, too bad he cannot be there more often, but enjoy him while you have him, LOL. My bf and I had a great day, we drove about 45 min away to my cousin's who was having Thanksgiving this year, and everything was delicious! We had a good time, left so that we could be home before dark, and then I decorated for Christmas, in and out. I'm beat now. I downsized a lot this year since my bf is moving in with me, so there wasn't that much to trot out. :) Today was a day to be grateful, and I am grateful for so much!

  9. What a lovely photo of the two of you! Happy nThanksgiving! I do celebrate in my own little way here with KFC and stuffing. It's a bittersweet day for me. The birth of my son (1986) and daughter (1987) and their cousin (1988) - yes that's 3 consecutive years - and the day 5 yrs ago when my husband slipped into a coma. I had taken him up a slice of my homemade pumpkin pie ... but I was too late. So I celebrated that the 'kids' are all doing well and kept myself occupied with work and laundry. I counted my blessings and gave thanks for each one. ❤️ I hope you and all of our llittle community have had a wonderful day. Oh, please give that handsome pilot son a big hug from me - tell him my son works IAH (Bush Intercontinental Airport) in Houston Texas for United. We airline families re just that. Family. ❤️
