If anyone finds my car key--

We have sunshine--cold temperatures--9 degrees C when I was walking little Lopez in his Parka--Big Beau can take  the cold-but--this little  Chihuahua--I kinda wonder how he does it-- -He does have a Parka --but--bare toe toes--and---HE DID HIS BUSINESS--along the back road--

So-I have a dilemma ----  I lost a set of car keys--  It is driving me crazy----- You see, I carry a set , always with me, in my purse---and I have a set, always by the back door, which I pick up as I go into the garage, to use when I drive anywhere.-Himself has told me for years that one of the above sets, should be left in the house--always------ ("But what does he really know?"----is what I think!)----

It turns out, he knows everything---I lost the set, the day I took Himself to see the Dr., last week---I had it in my pocket because I was checking all the time, feeling the loose set of keys--until-- I took him down to the car, put him in the car--then tried to lift the wheel chair into the trunk, which would not fit--so I took the wheel chair , opened the back passenger door--and tried to get it into the back seat-Some man appeared then--and said, "Here let me help you"--so I let him lift it into the car--then drove home-and--- now --NO KEY-- The one in my purse worked, so the car worked--  I never knew I had lost that loose key--

And it seems to be gone--- The good thing about all this, is that years ago I took out an insurance thing--that if I ever lost a car key, it would be replaced---The dealership have ordered another key--will take a few days to come to me--

But, when you lose something like that, doesn't it just drive you crazy?---  So, that's my story --(and I'm sticking to it)----  but--geez--if any of you out there find a key --with Milltown Motors on it--a key fob--let me know----Thank yu-

(-it must be my --"old age""-)---  Lord love a Duck---oh--one more thing--"YOU REALLY ARE AWESOME!"--Never forget that!

  1. Might want to check if you have a tear in the pocket and the keys slipped behind the jacket lining. A few months after my Dad passed, my Mom called me in a panic as she lost his wedding band she was wearing on her hand. We searched high and low and went over her activities before its disappearance. No luck. A few months later I was helping her change purses and you guessed it by now there was a tear in the lining and his ring was in there. She started wearing it on a neck chain after that.

  2. Yes - it does drive me crazy when I lose something! And I keep losing or misplacing things more nowadays! I guess it has to do with getting older as it seems harder to remember things! I hate looking for things that I have lost because I keep going back over and over again to the same places - thinking I surely overlooked it the last time I looked there! Mostly I lose my reading glasses....so now I bought several cheap pairs and keep a pair in every room! Did you call the hospital to ask if anyone turned in a key fob? Maybe some nice person found it and turned it in....one can only hope. But you should rest easy as you have that insurance! Good thinking!

  3. Lynda, car keys lost are the worst! I have a similar problem...my fobs' batteries die. Took it apart to use the real key inside, and last time it didn''t work. I've taken to keep an extra battery in my wallet. Every time, I have to ask someone to change it for me.
Yea, that old age thing is not always happy. Some things were better in the 'old days.'
Taking a friend to a neighboring town to go to Russell Stover for some chocolate gifts.
Not much else going on here.
Cloudy today, still 40F. A bit of a rainy mist.
Hope your key comes fast! Waiting can be very difficult.
Glad the pups are fine, hopefully the two of you and Sushi are, too.

  4. It's Kathy. I have at times put something in the wrong place and searched forever. It's so frustrating! Good thing you have that insurance and will have a new key soon. I think you have too much to do and keep track of. I hope today is a quiet day for you.

  5. Hi Lynda: Yes, that kind of stuff drives me crazy too. Check wuth the hospital as someone may have turned it in. But still get the replacement, I keep my extra in my purse too so I will have it if I lose the other and can't get home! Hopefully it turns up but at least the other is ordered. Sounds like No Frills will probably not strike now, so your shopping choices should still be ok. Hope himself did ok today with daycare. Have a good night. Hugs Brenda

  9. I would call the hospital to check if it was turned in, but since you have insurance you are blessed....here it is about $300 to replace a lost fob.
David had one, and I had one. I put one key in my desk drawer and the one I use, I have on a key ring a spring clip and attach to my purse.
If you quit looking it will likely be found, and I have to take mine to the dealer to get the battery changed.
Prayers for peace over you Lynda.........
