SMILE --IT IS A NEW DAY!

Why hello there--It is a new day--not too cold--no snow falling-- the world  seems to be in a bit of a mess--- but----  WE ARE HERE----even I AM HERE EARLY___finally have the bank troubles sorta sorted out--(I had to do a lot of yelling and screaming to do that)----Himself is good----going to DAYCARE--I have  clean new hair---

-- compliments of the hair dresser yesterday---I mean---so far, it is looking like a good day beginning--

I hope it is that way in your part of the world--Do you remember seeing the old car in the picture below? and look at the gas pump-?---and what the man is wearing --a hat---Now I remember my Grandfather's vehicle---and it looked like this car--but, it had a "rumble set" in the back of it, where the trunk would've been--Memories!--To-day's children will never know what a "rumble seat" is--

Daylight is just coming  up here and the 2 dogs must get out--but-----  first I must show you the picture below-- The nurse could've been me--- at Toronto General Hospital, way back in my student nursing days- Our uniform was exactly like the one the nurse in the picture is wearing--bibs and aprons and the row of beds is just like it was on a ward at Toronto General Hospital--  We would get , something like 30 patients--very ill patients every day--
I hope that your day is simply delightful--- And if it becomes crazy busy,  (like mine was yesterday)-I know that you can handle it-- because you are one strong person, just like me below--
NEVER EVER FORGET THAT!-----

  2. Good morning, love your animated inserts.
I'm off to the gym in a bit for weights class. The character made me smile.
My father had a car like the picture and it did have a rumble seat.
Hoping your day goes great. Himself at day care should insure a good evening at your house. The interaction with others seems to boost his mood.
I haven't seen a nurse in a uniform or nursing hat for 20 years. God bless nurses.
Have a great day. Hope its a drama free day.
    Play your piano.
    Hugs and blessings

  3. It's Kathy. I love that last cartoon and totally agree. My husband has been told he needs to get more exercise but it's just not happening. Although he's outside blowing leaves right now and that's a really big job. It's finally warmed up enough that the snow has mostly melted! So glad you got the banking issue resolved! Things have gotten so much more complicated now that so many things are automated! Give me one good, smart person and things work better. Have a wonderful Friday.

  4. It is early yet, but we're both having a good day. That's wonderful.
My grandpa had a gas station with pumps like that. It had an old fashioned pop machine that gave you little glass bottles. We were allowed to have one every time we came to visit...for free.
I don't color my hair anymore. I used to have blond streaks. Now it seems to be multi colored all on its own.
My mom studied nursing in college. One semester away from graduation she dropped out due to her mom and dad (that grandpa I mentioned) getting divorced.
Must figure out payment on bills today so I know how much money will be left for food and fun. Have to get my license plate tags, so probably not a lot.
We are strong...cuz we gotta be. You, especially, with your large property.
Warmer here...almost 50F. Cloudy, though. Weather.com doesn't show any sun appearing for the foreseeable future.
We will survive. Remember that old song by Gloria Gaynor?

  5. Determination that it shall indeed be a good day... is a good start to a good day, eh? The photo of the old gas pump reminds me of my uncle's gas tank at the farm... farmers weren't supposed to have to pay gas tax, so they could have tanks to fuel their tractors. If they filled their road cars, they had to keep track, because THAT gasoline was to be taxed. Aren't tax laws complicated?

Well, maybe not so much in Canada!

Hope you have a fine Friday and weekend ahead!

  6. Your last meme - a big sigh here! I still do yoga 2 days a week for an hour. I used to do it 3 times a week....and I used to walk almost every day. I have gotten "out of the groove"! Not happy about it, but I just seem to be too busy doing other stuff....some not so good (like spending too much time on my computer)....and I am a lot slower at getting things done, like vacuuming and dusting and mopping floor and laundry...& much more. I hope your day continues to be as good as it sounded this morning! Hugs!

  7. Hi Lynda: Glad you got the bank stuff all straightened out. And good that himself has gone to daycare today. Hope he will be in a good mood tonight. The old pictures are amusing. Glad hospitals aren't like that anymore. I prefer a private room. Nice that it's a bit milder today and will be a little better the next couple of days before it gets back to normal November weather! Nice for walking dogs! Have a good night. Hugs Brenda

  8. Hi Lynda! I hope your Friday was fabulous. I got Sadie moving throughout the house and even some raking done. Nice again tomorrow in Ohio so I will finish up the leaves for a few days. Yes, the nurses just wear scrubs these days. My neice is a nurse in a high risk pregnancy center and face timed me the other day. She just had on plain, gray scrubs. I need to exercise more but so much to do and the yorkies seem like exercise. lol Enjoy your evening!
