Happiness is dealing with stuff!

Crazy times--- absolutely crazy times--- I had cancelled a life insurance policy quite awhile ago--when Covid was its peak--well, for some crazy reason, the  life insurance policy people decided to  take $14,000 from our checking account--and restart the policy--AND OUR BANK HONOURED IT------  so ---- after 2-3 days of trying to get all the mess  cleared up---the transaction was reversed----- just this morning---

It is really a crazy world----- One really has to watch the banks-----  plus, I think we will switch banks--which is not an easy chore either---It has taken me , I think, 3 days , to sort out this whole mess--Good thing I am a careful bank person and I kept proof  of everything-- (but it nearly drove me crazy!)_I still wonder if we should switch banks--- That will demand more of my time even-

It is Thursday--my hair day--STILL NOT FRIDAY_ doncha always think, that once  Thursday is here--then--there is FRIDAY--and----  then---------=-THE WEEKEND____Yeahhhhhhh!

When stuff like "the Banking Ordeal" happens, it is just easier to let it go---but---  yu know , that cannot be left----- It will only get worse--- but--it shouldn't have happened in the beginning---

Anyway, it is all fixed now---  but ----it took so much of my time--

We have sun--- cold temps---  and snow on the ground--  and--WE AE ALIVE--  (haven't seen Sadie to-day)-----HOW IS YOUR DAY GOING?

  1. Lynda, was it the bank's fault, though? They must've seen you used that company before and that the transaction was ok with you? Who knows? I wouldn't change banks IF that's the only problem you have had with them.
Yes, careful record keeping is the key to survival nowadays.
You will relax and destress a bit with your hair appointment.
Sadie hasn't come to your house yet cuz she's working around here. ;-)
Need to take a friend for an appointment in a short while.
Tomorrow my SS check will post, so it will be bill paying and maybe a bit of shopping. I still have 2 banana.
Hope the rest of your day goes much better.

  2. Don't you just hate it when that sort of thing happens? Good thing you were paying attention! I have yet to find the situation that doesn't EVENTUALLY get worked out. It's the time between DISCOVERY and that EVENTUALLY that is stressful. Breathe, relax, "this, too, shall pass" as my mom used to say. Yours, too?

  3. My goodness! I am glad that you saw that withdrawal from your checking acct.! That’s kinda nerve-y of them to do! Glad you got it reversed. For sure that should NEVER have happened. The largest fault lies w/the insurance company in the first place. *SIGH*

Yes, Thursday always leads to that “it’s Friday – the start of the weekend” feeling.

It’s still sorta chilly, but not like it’s been and some of our snow melted. PHEW

HUGS to you and hope no more banking problems!

  4. So glad you caught that banking error! I had no idea that things like that could happen! Mainly I have been worried about scams and credit card theft. A couple of years ago after making an online order, at a company I had never ordered from before, my credit card information was stolen! Luckily I saw the transaction and immediately called the card company and all the charges were taken off - but I had to get a new card with a new account # and it took awhile to get everything straightened out. Long story, short - my youngest son advised me to get a credit monitoring service which has a monthly fee....but it is worth it to me for the peace of mind as they now send me alerts when they see any changes in my credit report - even when I make a payment! You asked about my cats a few days ago - they are fine. Just had their 3 year old check up and vet said all was good - except my female cat needs to lose a couple of pounds! She weighs 18 and her brother is only 15 pounds...she likes to finish off whatever he doesn't eat! They are such good company for me. When I leave the house - they are always waiting for me at the back door when I come in from the garage! I do take them outside with their harnesses & leashes sometimes. I am trying to help them get extra some exercise - but the past couple of days have been way too cold for that!

  5. So sorry about your banking situation. I thought I was having a bad day until I read your blog. I had hair day today, too. I went to pay and my card wouldn't work. I didn't have another card with me but my hairdresser of 8 years told me she trusted me to not let it ruin my day and call her later with another card. I did that but I checked to see why my card did that. All was fine with the bank it just didn't like her machine or her machine didn't like my card. lol I wanted to stop for coffee but was afraid my card wouldn't work. Anyways, just all day of small stuff compared to your ordeal. Always something to deal with, huh? We must stay strong and keep on keeping on and keep our eyes on everything. Warming up tomorrow in Ohio so hopefully tomorrow will be a better day and can just get out and walk the yorkies. Hope your night is relaxing!:)

  6. OMG what an ordeal with the bank and insurance company. I know what you mean as trying to straighten things out can take huge blocks of time. Thats a big hunk of money to withdraw at one time. Anyway, that's passed and you handled it.
    Hope you enjoyed hair day.
Cute inserts...the rabbit made me smile.

    1. So glad you got the banking snafu straightened out...I would have been very upset..This is why I always keep records and files of important papers, etc.
My hair day is Friday...tomorrow. She never does it exactly like I want, but I can usually fix it...
I also am going to open my Christmas club for next year...
Have a Fabulous Friday...I am happy, my chair arrived today and Barbara(dau.) and I went and picked it up. Now to wait until the carpenters get done installing the ceiling tile and light fixtures here in the downstairs area, then can bring chair in and read or study Bible comfortably. First chair I have ever
had that fit my short legs. LOL

  8. Oh Lynda, I am so proud that you were able to take care of that big mistake that the insurance company made and your bank. it seems anything regarding banks or insurance seems to take an awful long time, and even more energy. I'm doing okay, but I am now having to dictate anything that I would normally type. Sometimes it's faster and sometimes it's darn frustrating. So if anything doesn't make sense here blame it on the dictation. LOL! Lots of love from Australia. Cheers!
