Remember how special you are!

Very heavy rain falling here--VERY heavy!-- Daycare was cancelled for Himself-- Good thing he can still go on Thursday and Friday--Hopefully! ---Son #1 will be here shortly to take him for bloodwork at the clinic--

Do you people like having to change the clocks?--Does it sorta mess up your life?---Lordy Be--Yesterday I changed all the clocks---but--I messed up 2 of them, so sometime to-day I have to redo those 2-----And it isn't just the work of resetting clocks, this AM I woke up at what I thought was 6am--- got all dressed and it turned out it was 5am--plus, yesterday, the day seemed to go on and on--- 5pm seemed like 6pm---
Would you like it better if we just had one "time" all year, every year?--I never used to think I'd like that, but--  now , I am sure I'd rather have Daylight saving time all year, every year--

Yes, the above is how I feel-I AM HAPPY TO BE "ME"----Now , I did used to  think I would love to be Queen Elizabeth-----definitely NOT ANYMORE---Did you ever want to be someone else?--

-Did you know, that a butterfly in your yard is a visitor from Heaven?--Well, You never know eh?---

Himself will be going soon for bloodwork so I must drop everything and get him ready--
Everyday is a bit of a struggle for me to push those calories away-How about you? Halloween  definitely did not help that situation

Enjoy your day--no matter what- Remember how special you are---

  1. So glad that you don’t have to get out in the heavy rain and assist Himself as he gets his bloodwork!! Great that help was available from Son #!!
I hate when it gets dark so early that 7 PM feels like midnight…so I’d vote for dark in the morning and light later in the evening…
    Hope you have a fabulous day❤️. Eissa7

  2. No, I do not like the time change. I got them all done, except my watch. Think I said that yesterday. Today I got stronger magnifiers so maybe I can see what all the buttons on the watch are supposed to do. May still have to call up the youtube video about setting a Timex Ironman watch.
Yes, I wrote that poem, and lots more. Never did figure out where to send them. When the lottery comes through for me, I will be able to hire an agent and a publicity person for my books, poems and public speaking.
It's not too cold here...50sF. Doesn't feel like it, though, cuz the sun is hiding behind heavy clouds.
Too bad daycare was cancelled, but at least Himself will have an outing.
Some states in the US have gotten rid of daylight savings time. Not Minnesota!
Eating lunch now prior to a bit of a nap with Lucky.
Halloween candy didn't bother me. I had one fun sized Twix. I have a bag of candy corn that was given me. I haven't even opened it. Afraid I'd eat it all in one setting!
    All for now. Enjoy your afternoon. Maybe the rain will stop. {{{HUGS}}}

  3. It's Kathy. I am not a fan of changing the clocks. It may have been important back in the days before all the modern farming equipment but I'm pretty sure the farmers can work in the dark these days with the fancy new tractors. It takes me about a week to adjust all the clocks. I change the important ones but forget some of those I rarely look at - then I'm confused about time! Happened today - we went shopping this morning and I was feeling hungry. Looked at the clock in the car and it say 12:15 - no wonder I was hungry. BUT, it was really 11:15. Tom changed the clock! The one on my desk still hasn't been done! Too bad himself couldn't go to daycare but driving in the rain isn't my favorite thing! Take care and have a good day!

    1. I finished the last 2 clocks to-day--I think!--It was a ton of work for nothing! Himself had blood work done at the clinic this AM--but apparently the Lodge said they are short staffed--so he -could not go to-day--too bad as he looks forward go it so much-Lynda

  4. Nice that your son took Himself in for bloodwork this morning. Pouring rain can be a pain in the groin. No Halloween candy here, we shut off the porch light, no one comes. No candy here at all. Did it years ago, when we lived in California and had kids. Time change is bunk! A bunch of suits sit around a table and tell us what to do! Baloney!

  5. Glad one of the boys took himself for lab. You didn't have to get out in the rain and you got a brief break. Too bad no day care. Sure hope himself can go later in the week.
I'm not enjoying time change. It gets dark so darn early that right now I want to go to bed at 7. I'm still getting up way to early. I'm tired by 5pm.
I did a bit of damage with mini Snickers bars. They are gone. I'm moving on to healthier choices.
    Hope your day goes well.
    Be safe.
    Hugs

  6. I like the saying about "I'm happy to be me .........."That is real cute. I hate the time change - it's a real pain on top of changing clocks. I think we should have the same time year around. The dogs certainly don't understand why their schedule changes! Hope himself gets to go to the next sessions this week. And good thing son #1 could take himself for bloodwork. Have a good night. 7. So sorry to hear that the weather is so awful and Himself’s Daycare was cancelled. Glad Son #1 will bake him for his bloodwork today.

HATE the time change. Takes time to get used to it. My body is not in favor of the time change, that’s for sure. Yes, I think my body would be happier with ONE time standard.

For sure, when things are busy and stressed, it is difficult to push the calories away.

Hope it ended up to be a decent day for you.

  8. Hi Lynda! I hope your day went well and the rain stopped. We had good weather in Ohio and I got out a bit. My knee has been throbbing the last few days. You know I had severe burning neuropathy in my leg all last year from that blood pressure medicine. I wonder if I got damage or if I just have to wait to totally heal. It had been fine for a long while. Nice of your son to take Himself to get labs. Hopefully, daycare can work out better later in the week. I do wish we could have kept the time the same. I don't like the time changing and dealing with clocks and just feeling like it is time to go to bed so early. It makes Winter seem even longer to me. I guess we have to keep on keeping on. Enjoy your evening.

  10. Good morning Lynda,
I haven't checked out your site in a couple of weeks. I go back and read your blogs and try to catch up. I hate that I can't get your blogs daily. Things are going pretty well here in Michigan. We are still working on the leaves. We brought a grass catcher for the tractor and that makes things a little bit easier. I can't get use to the time change either. I woke up at 2:14 and I am trying to figure out if I should go back to bed. We don't have as many clocks to turn back like you do. I think about you when I am fixing my grandfather clock.
Well I could go on, but stay strong! Give everyone a hug for me.
    Luv ya. Bev.

  11. I hate the time change...I don't have that many clocks but one of my watches is supposed to change itself as it is atomic, and it jumped forward an hour....nuts
