Well, yu never know eh?

This is the boy who has gone home- The picture was taken a few years ago, on our lake here. Right now the lake is not frozen--at all!  It has been a mild fall----- This is Son#2, the Pilot----  He drove up from Toronto, and he  sure picked a good day to return--  We have sunshine-- snow is predicted to-morrow.--

And you know what he did early this morning?--Unbeknownst to me, he filled the car with windshield wiper fluid--He called to tell me----What a good boy eh??-(And I never asked him to do that)-

So, Now I am sad---  You know, I would not like my grown kids to live with me --nor would they want to--but--when one of them comes to visit, it leaves a hole in my world-----and, in my heart----  I do love each one of them--and their families----You all must feel the same!

I often wonder if my own Mom felt sad , when we all left home?-----   Her first name was "Ila"---  She is in the above picture with her Mom,  on one side of her, and her Grandmother on the other side of her---  and behind her is her great Grandmother-----  She is the young girl with the long hair--
--Her Mother died when Mom was a teenager---I do love the above picture----Look at their outfits?---  and  the old farm house behind them--
Well, you know, it seems I always  are talking about  living, in a good fashion-- I wonder if life was easier when my Mom  was a Mom----?------Was it less busy--or was it busier??-

Another thing----do you think regular dogs  see Police Dogs and think they are the cops?---There is SO SO much to think about isn't there?

i hope that you all enjoyed the weekend---- the food--- the family beside you---and ask the dogs  about what they think of police dogs--?----Well, ya never know eh???

  1. Lynda, that meme about the dogs really gave me a chuckle. We know that they don't know the difference, but it sure is cute!
Love the photos. It looks to me, though that the young girl with the long hair is in the front...you stated, I believe, that she was behind.
I left all kinds of old photos in Chicago when I moved. A whole shoe box full. I had NO idea, at all who the people in them were. Relatives, I am sure...mostly from my mom's side with some tied to my dad, too. (My mom and dad were 4th cousins...I am my own 5th cousin).
I'm glad you know who is who in your photos.
Way below freezing here, but so far, no snow.
Just ate the rest of my broccoli cheese dish for lunch. Gonna cuddle with Lucky for a brief nap. Then Sadie had better get started. She's not at your house, is she?
    All of you enjoy your weekend. Maybe the snow will pass us by. {{{HUGS}}}

  4. I'm so glad you got the visit from son #2. I understand the "hole" that is left when the visit is over, but somehow I think it might be worse if he never came to visit at all?

I was alone this Holiday, as "the kids" traveled to her mom's side of the family, and they drove home in the lightly falling flurried today. Everybody safe now, and that makes me happy.

(( hugs )) (And keep Lopez away from those police dogs, he might have an issue with them, and Beau would just hang out with his fellows).

    2. Yes, it was very OK for me, for this year to be on my own. I was able to fill a need for the home guard due to an unexpected delivery to their house. It wasn't supposed to arrive until tomorrow (Monday) and it was dropped on their porch on Wednesday. It was good they had someone who stayed in town to go retrieve it off the porch!

  5. Hi Lynda: Glad son #2 left today as tomorrow is not suposed to be great anywhere - around Barrie lots of snow and here rain and possibly mixing later. You never know this time of year what you might get. At least he got up there before it got bad. And always helps out. Re meme o dogs, I'm sure Lopez would always try to attack a police dog figuring he was better! Have a good night. Hugs Brenda

  6. LOL love the police dog insert. Interesting question. Since Beau is one of them...he might have the answer.
How very thoughtful of pilot son to do that chore for you without being asked. That's the best. I'm sure you do miss him. I'm so glad he made it safely back prior to any bad weather. As you said, you miss the kids but you sure wouldn't want them to move in. LOL
Sadie was really busy at your house AND at mine. Phew, lots of detail cleaning prior to putting up tree and decorations.
Have a wonderful, restful evening. Play your piano.
    Hugs
