AND SHE LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER

So, did you spend last night tossing and turning and worrying about the world--- or your bank account-or, will you be able to stretch your dollars to get to the dentist next week--AND buy bananas to-day?-
-Why do we worry so much?----It always works out in the long run, and we do know that really, but---(that big "butt" again-)----why is "budgeting so much more difficult than it used to be?"--------  BECAUSE EVERYTHING COSTS MORE NOW--probably------  Lord love a Duck!-----  I am wondering--- Do any of you worry  about the budget?---Is it just me----or is it the times--and my age now?--

We are going in for bananas AND fresh Salmon ---shortly--We do not have any snow falling--and we have sunshine--- but--big Beau and I went  heading out the sunroom door--this morning-early--- and poor Beau slipped on the frost on the wooden steps---me too----so I had to drag the big bag of salt out there to de-ice the porch--Now Lopez had me up in the night so there I was in my nightie and my parka walking around the frosty grass------Doncha jess love winter?

-To-day we turn our clocks back--or is it ahead?--Daylight saving time is over for another year--That will take some time to do ----

You (and I)-- have survived everything we've gone through so far---WE CAN DO THIS!-----So, get up, get dressed--and get out there-

Himself enjoyed Daycare yesterday---  had lunch there --It really is a good service-- It goes until 3pm--but he chooses to come back home about 12-30pm for his nap--next week however he will go 3 mornings--

The picture below  grabbed my attention--Both the dog and the Lady look so peaceful-- just sitting on the dock hoping to catch a fish--Now, if we did that, contented-- let the worries go-----why, WE WOULD LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER too--

  2. Fishing in a bikini ... yeah, not this girl! I'm more of a shorts and t-shirt gal Haven't fished since moving to Australia but one day maybe I'll get myself a rod and some bait and sit on a jetty (that's what we call docks here) and then if I catch something I'll have to remember how to get the hook out. Or maybe I'll just have a seat and watch the fish and the waves. Thank you for the reminder that we've made it this far - it will help me get up in the morning and face another day of new challenges and learning to do things in a different way. Cheers!

  3. You nailed it . . . budgeting is more challenging because the cost of everything is up and not much change in what is coming IN! But we make it work.

OH MY GOSH! Be careful out there. Sorry Beau fell on the frosty areas, but you don’t need that either!

Tonight we turn the clocks back for a return to standard time. Not a fan, but then nobody asked me!

So happy to hear that Himself enjoyed daycare and ate lunch there! And he’s going for 3 days next week. AWESOME!

I'd scare the fish away if I were in a bikini! LOL

    here's to a peaceful weekend.

  4. It's Kathy. Yes, I worry about the budget too. Our car insurance just went up again and it's over 1/3 of the money I have set aside for insurance, heat, electricity and water. So either we have to get that reduced or we have to find more money someplace! My son and family stayed overnight last night - now everything is off kilter! They left a mess in my spare room which Tom and I will have to clean up sometime today. I had to miss my Pilates class. So while I love them all I find I'm more "set in my ways" than I thought! Have a wonderful day.

  5. I think everyone is concerned they will have too much month left at the end of the money.
I would be in much worse shape if David had not taken such good care of me, and now living with my daughter and son in law, all I really have to do is pay for my truck upkeep, and phone, and any food items I want to buy and of course keep my life insurance paid up...

  6. Lynda, I do not worry about things all night...even bills. When I am in bed getting comfy, I think about all that I love in my life...count my blessings, picture my grandchildren...think about the things I still have coming to make my life delightful...like seeing those grandkids again.
I do know that things work out. That's an affirmation from the Law of Attraction: "Things always work out for me." I believe it. Sometimes there's a bit of contrast first (that contrast is what you don't want), but in the end it's really good.
Great that Himself has daycare 3 times a week. That will help you both, I am sure.
Great memes as always. That lady and dog are really cute. Wonder if she knows what she's showing. Probably doesn't care. Maybe we should adopt that attitude.
Just got back from shopping: cat food, bananas, my favorite soup, a salmon entree with broccoli and wild rice for supper (I will add corn and carrots) and a few other things.
Most bills paid. One more for me to do online, then just get my cashier's check for rent on Monday.
No karaoke tonight. That's ok. We need a break.
    Love you guys, love your blog. I can picture you in your nightie and parka. What an outfit. Hope you both are ok after your slip. {{{HUGS}}}

  7. Yes, it’s time to fall back and wait til Spring to spring forward. They keep saying in Ohio they want to change it but it don’t happen! I don’t like it getting dark early. Hope you and Beau are ok from the ice. Scary when it is slick out. My yorkies are pad trained which is good and bad. Hope your day was wonderful and we will have a super Sunday!:)

  9. Hi, Marti here! I really don't worry much about the future anymore, or the bills (I had to go back to work). Maybe that's because of the anti depressants/anti anxiety meds I've taken since 1995, but really, if I worry, I know it doesn't do anything, and I really don't have anxiety anymore, OTHER than change! CHANGE! My bf is going to move in with me (soon, soon), but he's so slow, it's been 2 1/2 months and he still is weeding thru old papers. I DO worry about that, if he can cut it, if I can cut it (I'm a terrible control freak), will he get a job, will he be able to keep a job (he's veryyyy slow at everything and we live in a fast world), yada yada yada. BUT you know what? If it doesn't work, I guess it doesn't work. He can save up and get a cheap apartment somewhere. I bounced this off my cousin and she said really what difference does it make WHEN he gets here? It doesn't. So I'll try to be patient. Heaven help me!

  12. I'm so sorry you and Beau slipped this morning. Be very careful.
Budgeting....well, yes, it is a concern. My car insurance just came and its increased as has EVERYTHING. But all is well.
Clocks go back an hour so it will get dark earlier. We'll have to adjust. Do you still have your big collection of clocks?
So glad himself enjoys daycare and lunch.
    Loved the inserts, as always.
When I go to bed I try to review my day and thank God for all that went well and for all my blessings. Praying for others takes me out of dwelling on my concerns.
There is always something to be grateful about.
    Have a pleasant evening.
    Play your piano.
