Stay strong Queen!

Daylight is just appearing--over the trees --no canines have been out yet--Sushi and I were the only ones up--It is amazing what one can accomplish when you are the only one up--everyone is fed, except of course, the man of the house---the wash is done-- dry--  and just needs to be folded--

Last evening, I put a call in to Himself's Doctor--described the ulcers (3 of them) on Himself's one leg- He immediately ordered am antibiotic-plus some kind of healing cream---  When I drove into town to pick it all up, I stopped at the Pharmacy and bought huge bandages--  $97 later , I was on my way home-then the chore of putting it all on the leg of a very stubborn man, who thinks he knows everything--And this AM, he had  the antibiotic tablet--of which he needs 4 a day--Lordy Be!---A woman's work is never done!--If it's not one thing, it's another----  ( Mom's expressions which just came floating through my brain--)---Now we will just  hope all the healing remedies will work--

-IT IS ANOTHER NEW DAY----you gotta love it! ---Think about it----A BRAND NEW DAY------There is no question about it--  ONE MUST BE STRONG____BELIEVE IN OURSELVES--BE KIND--and if possible-- get a wee nap in---
To-day , it is HAIR DAY-- Lord love a duck--There is always  a reason  to get out of the house and talk to real people-- --

  1. It does feel good to get up and get and early start on the day. I am sorry to hear that Himself has ulcers on his leg and wish him a speedy recovery. He is also so lucky to have his own special nurse looking after him! Enjoy your day and I hope you are pampered at the hairdresser. HUGS

  2. I love the Stay Strong Queen. And sit with it. I do sometimes. Other times I just get busy and keep my mind as active as possible to just not sit and dwell with things that can't be changed. It helps. I was busy today and got 4388 steps - which is excellent for me. Next week, the 26th nov will be the 5th anniversary of my husband's passing. I'm keeping myself busy. I have planned a special dinner for myself with a meal from my favourite Chinese restaurant. I've never had their take out meals before but there's a first time for everything. Take care of yourj grumpy Himself - I hope those ulcers heal quick. Love & Hugs

  3. It's Kathy. I love the meme about feeling the feelings. I don't do enough of that. Things are not good at our home - lots of stress between my husband and me. But I got up this morning and will take care of what needs to be done. We have a couple more okay days to finish up what has to be done before the snow comes. Thankfully none of that in our forecast for the foreseeable future - but we all know it's coming. I wish you a really great day. I'm glad it's hair day. My mom would drive through a blizzard to get her hair done! I say do what makes you feel good!

    2. You always make me smile. I love my husband but he never finishes anything - sometimes he never even starts. Now that I am finally feeling better I want some of these projects finished! He says he's not the handyman, I say "then hire me one!". When I push, he says he just move out. I know it's his 'flight' instinct but it still hurts. And yes it is a lot of work getting ready for the snow to come! Thanks for being such a good friend.

  4. Another great blog. Especially liked Sit with It and 8 powerful words.
Thanks for pic of Sushi the elusive cat.
I do get a lot accomplished early morning when I'm the only one up
Hope the ulcers heal quickly. Himself has the best nurse so I think he'll be fine. I'm happy that his mood is better and you've learned how to handle a lot of his comments. Aint easy but does sound like its improved. Daycare gets him out of himself. He has others to mingle with and be out of the house.
Hair day yay. Time for you to escape and talk with others. Thats a mood elevator for you.
Hope today goes well. Stay strong and positive.
Any piano playing on the schedule?
Off to the gym in a bit then dentist for both of us sigh

  7. Wishing you a good hair day! And wishing Himself a good healing day. It took me decades to learn about "feeling the feelings"... sometimes I wonder if we don't learn only when we're ready to learn. Wisdom does come with our years.

Oh, and The Prisoner sends purrs for a good day to Sushi, who is such a pretty kitty!

  9. We are both getting our hair done today! I got a card for a free cut from Great Clips on Veterans Day. My favorite stylist should be there today. Of course the line was too long to wait on Vets Day.
I could do another load of laundry today, too. We'll see.
Tomorrow is Walmart with a friend.
    Love the memes as always!
Hope Himself keeps the bandages on. Those ulcers are NOT fun.
My son-in-law, a kidney transplant patient, had ones that took him a long time to get rid of.
I try to fold my laundry right out of the dryer so the wrinkles don't set in. For some things, though, towels, undies, etc. it doesn't matter if there are wrinkles.
Nice weather today. 64F, windy, though. Tomorrow it will only be in the 40s.
I'm going to look up how to get a grown kitty to let you brush his teeth. Otherwise I will have to do a vet visit for a dental. That's not cheap. Do you brush your pets' teeth?
    Til the morrow. {{{HUGS}}}

    1. Lordy Be--I should brush Sushis teeth but--I never have even looked at them--She probably would not let me--I shall let yu know-=-Even trimming her nails is difficult as when she sees me coming she hides,
Yes I am worried about Himself's leg----The 3 ulcers are quite deep and all those bandages were very expensive--Hopefully the antibiotic pills will help clear it all up--
Yes I fold the laundry right out of the dryer also----
It was quite mild here to-day--no snow--- I like it that way!
And --the hair is done--- LOL-- Yehhhhh

  10. Hi Lynda: At least you got to get your hair done and relax for an hour! I'm sure himself is not at al cooperative about your trying to help him with his legs and other things. Especially being a doctor, of course he knows better. It's amazing how we learn to have more patience when looking after a family member! Relax and play the piano tonight.Hugs Brenda
