Well?-----another day--and- snow!

I want to tell you all that to-day has not been an easy morning-- You see, Himself thinks he  is still the big boss ---and in his mind, he is still capable to run the show---and---  I had to over rule him,  and that is SO hard to do , to a man who believes all is well with him -----and he can do everything-and he CAN do a lot--but--- there are some things at the present time, that I HAVE to do-so-----I am strong--- but-- Lordy Be--I am tired--

Lopez loves to curl up in my Afghan---- to keep warm---especially if he can find someone's sock, to hide underneath him--and he won't give it up--*S*

We pretty much had a wet snow fall all day yesterday--and it has stayed on the ground--so, I guess winter is here--This morning it was minus 10---  I nearly froze when I was outside with Beau-- had to come in and get a parka on--

Well, already I feel better--just talking to you all--Too bad big Beau and Lopez don't talk to me--

I hope that your day is going well--Are you right into winter?---Did you get those winter boots out?--I still have  one pair to find--the pair that I walk the dogs with---

"The best day of your life is still yet to come" --nice to hear that for sure!
                                                                        AND

I CAN DO THIS---but--all the unnecessary drama this AM?--  Lord love a Duck! --how has your day gone so far?---

  1. It's Kathy. I'm with Snoopy - no drama. Sorry you had to go through it this morning. Even my husband who is only 70 tries to do things that he really should not be doing anymore, at least not without someone who can actually help him (which is no longer me). I absolutely love the first meme - I am also strong, but so tired. Yes, we have snow and it seems like it might stick around. Although we do have a couple of average days ahead so maybe it will melt some - but more snow in the forecast! A lot of things didn't get done this fall, oh well! I brought out my boots a couple days ago and I also have a long, very heavy coat with a good that hangs by the back door. It keeps me very warm when I take Daisy outside! I hope the rest of today is better for you and the drama is over for now!

I so relate to being tired and I do hope the best days of my life are yet to come. I'm with Snoopy.
    nix on the drama
    Don't want drama.
I know where my boots are but I'm hoping I won't need them all year. Hows that for optimistic!
Hope your day settles into a peaceful flow, drama free.
Cold in St.Louis but, thank God, none of the white stuff. I despise it and the ice
We get ice and sleet fairly often
    So dangerous.
    Enjoy your day
Play your piano. Hoping it warms up and your crud melts. I doubt that Lopez likes going out.
Be well. Warm and safe. And drama free lol

  3. ((((HUGS)))) It is beyond hard when Himself’s reality isn’t . . . reality, except to him. It IS hard to overrule them, but when it comes to safety for him or you, it’s necessary. I do remember doing that w/my Mom. THAT was hard . . . overruling a parent. YOURS (overruling a spouse) is very, very difficult, as well.

Definitely have the winter wear out. It’s only been in the 30s for a high the last few days, with snow yesterday. But it’s only just begun! So, have to batten down the hatches, as MY Mom would say.

I think Snoopy says it all.

  4. A sound mind is a hard thing to lose, or realize that it is gone. That is why there are so many places for assisted living. People refuse to take it from others anymore. Safety to each one, if we can afford it, but most can’t. So spend miserable hours. Sad story of so many. I hope your weather does not get worse yet. And the heater works, we need ours checked.

  5. Sorry about your morning. Hope it is better. So far all is uneventful here. Wish our dogs could talk to us. It is white in Ohio! Our first snow. It will warm up this weekend. I have leaves and pruning to get done and a few things brought in like my bird baths. Lots to do, huh? Off to the treadmill and a casserole to make. Enjoy your evening!

  6. Hi Lynda: So sorry for what you are going through. Please see if you can get some advice from the doctor or from the alheimers society. Did you ever get any more meds for himself? It may be what's best for him and you. It's nice that you have the dogs to go out with to help keep your sanity! Take care. Hugs Brenda

  7. Hi Lynda….Absolutely NO drama!!! It is Never necessary in my opinion! All of us get our share of lemons to deal with…I try to handle things as I can…. What frustrates me are the people you hire to install or repair things that do not show up even close to the time OR reschedule AFTER you have changed your plans to accommodate them. We moved in May, so there have been many opportunities to practice patience!! Hope that you had a better afternoon than morning!❤️ Eissa7
