Always--Stay Positive --

We have hard rain falling--They say this rain may turn into snow overnight--Lord love a duck! As if we need that--Oh well, one must just cope I guess! ---  There is a great deal of wind outside also--which may lead to power outages if trees topple over--

I checked the real estate listings this morning--It seems every Tom , Dick , and Harry, have their homes listed----kinda depressing----  most do not have a garage----At the ages that Himself and I  are, I do not wish to buy another property--Does that seem silly?-----So, we sit in this large home, for the time being-on the lake--really not knowing if we are coming--or going---Does that sound silly also?--

Anyway, Himself is at his Day Program--He announced last night, that from now on, he will only go on Mondays and Fridays--I guess Wednesday there, is more 'Ladies Day" and he has decided that day is not for him. That is OK with me---He may change his mind again--One never knows--

Did you all have a good weekend? Was the weather co-operative?-----I feel like we, up here in the  North, are still hanging on to winter, somewhat --like Spring is dragging its feet ---Our lake is still covered with ice----and our grass is yellow--needs the sunshine--The snow is gone--- The Robins are back---small steps---

I hear that Lola and Apollo will be visiting us, for a few days soon --- Son #3's  - 2 dogs--That will make Lopez happy-- and me also-
-I saw the below meme and it put a smile on my face--because, as you know, we all try to be that way--"AWESOME"---and everyone wants to be that way, "AWESOME"!

Sadie that cleaning Lady--(who, as you know, is really "You Know who"---is chomping at the bit here to finish the vacuuming----                -I saw the below, and thought it interesting---

                                                         and-----always-----Stay Positive

Enjoy this day---breathe deep---take time to embrace the stillness--

  1. Doesn't sound silly at all to me! Taking on the new puppy has me committed to the house that will be her home for hopefully several years... I can't imagine trying to find another that will suit her needs at this point!

Hugs and hope you have a good, positive day!

  2. Good morning, Lynda of the great memes.
It's mostly sunny here, but still kinda cold. The breeze doesn't quite feel like spring yet, but the tress have budded. Mostly sunny, too. At least no moisture is falling...snow, sleet, rain, hail, cats, dogs...
Maybe Himself will change his mind about Wednesdays...he does like ladies, I'm sure, like most men. They just need to talk sometimes about things men like to include him.
We have a chance of parts of trees falling here. There is a lot of old growth in the back of our building. Lots of limbs look like they're dead and ready to drop. People who work on trees and building might call them "widow makers." In the rear of our building is a gulch. It used to be a river. Hasn't had more than a drop of water in it in the 6 years I've lived here. It is the home of little wild creatures, though. We periodically have lots of feral cats around. Management gets mad when we feed them, but some of us do it anyway.
Sadie can't wash my towels and sheets today. Looks like the washer is busy.
Do need to do a couple errands, but now Lucky wants to play. Then it's lunch time.
You're to have visiting grand dogs again? I'm happy Lopez gets along with them. They will be company. Maybe he won't go after Sushi then.
Whatever you do...it will probably be inside with all that rain. Maybe you'll get a chance to play the piano or fall asleep reading with your Kindle. Himself may need a nap, too, after his get-together.
Whatever, dear sis, make yourself a good day! {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  3. Very, very windy here today, but sunny. I had to chase my recycling bin down the road this morning as after it was emptied, it blew away! Glad I didn't have to pick up stuff that was in it as it would have been all over the place! I wanted to mow today, but the wind is too much. I need to pump water out of the pool as it is way full - but I need help getting the winter cover off as those big metal springs that tether it to the screws in the concrete are really hard to undo....even though I only need to loosen 2 on the very end. Then I have to drop a pump in and string several 100 foot hoses that I lay out to the front where there is a ditch! It is a lot of work and I dread it, but if the pool water overflows, it will all run back towards the house and I sure don't want any water pushing on my basement foundation! Whew! This pool is a lot of work for me, but the grandkids love it! Especially since it has a diving board at the deep end...they love doing flips and tricks. Had the concrete bottom painted last fall so now when I open the pool in May I will have to add approximately 16 bags of salt which weigh 40 lbs each. Sometimes I think I need to move so I don't have to deal with this pool and all the mowing duties, but I just can't bear leaving this home where all my wonderful memories are. But I don't have to deal with snow tires or moving docks, so we both have our extra chores, but it sure keeps us busy! So we each have our "extra duties" that keep us moving and young and strong!

  4. Oh nooooo! No snow! Very windy here and rainy right now, too. Rather that then . . . SNOW.

Well, at least Himself agrees to go to the program on Mon, and Fri. Fingers crossed he’ll be amenable to a 3rd day . . . maybe a Tuesday or Thursday is less ladies day????

As for staying in your house … sigh … I am not even thinking of packing up a house and moving. BTDT 4 times and that’s enough.

Looks like it is going to be a nice weekend. I am glad of that!

LOVE that awesome meme. TRUTH! ALL your memes are good!

Here’s to a good weekend, no snow, and Himself in a decent frame of mind!

    Hugs

  5. It's Kathy. I love the meme with the woman who is awesome. We are having a beautiful weekend with almost summer weather on Sunday. But more rain is coming next week. My little Daisy has been rather sluggish today, not sure why. I hope she perks up by tomorrow because the grandsons are coming for awhile! They are a handful. I hope your day has gone well!

  6. Hi Lynda! It is so cold, rainy and windy in Ohio today. It was trash day and the trash from the neighbor has blown way down the road. I can understand you do not want to move. Not only is it a huge undertaking but one does not want to make any mistakes in leaving where you are used to being. I see why Himself would not want to go to the mostly ladies day program. Lopez will enjoy the doggie visit. Only a few days should not be too bad, this time. Gosh, I went to my labs this morning after being so nervous and the doctor did not even put the order in. They told me to just go to my appointment anyways on Monday. I cannot wait to see his "deer in the headlights" look! I was happy but shocked at the same time. Men cannot hold as much in their head as we do. No wonder we are "cracked"! LOL Happy Friday!

  7. Hi Lynda
Crazy winds again today in St.Louis..but
.temps are to be close to record highs for the next few days. 88F...that's shorts weather. I can't believe they are still talking about snow up there. Hope NOT.
So the granddogs will be visiting soon. I hope Lola puts Lopez in his place as she is the boss.
I sure hope your power stays on.
Are there other days that aren't full of ladies for himself to go to lodge? He might change his mind by Wednesday.
    GREAT inserts. Love em.
Be safe. Hoping your power stays on.
    Hugs and blessings
    Marge/St.Louis
