Good Morning to all--I just got back from walking Lopez AND--he did his business--Yippee!!--One thing over with for now--We are supposed to get rain but, so far, so good--probably to-night--with high winds predicted--which might mean power outages--Lordy Be!----Always something isn't there?---I have been raking the front lawn, so, I can fertilize , hopefully before the rain--
To-day I shall not get my hair done----- The hairdresser ,who lives in town, has a problem with her new water softener tank--- some sort of odour coming from it---- and, it is making her feel ill---WE ARE HAVING A WATER SOFTENER TANK PUT IN HERE, BUT BY A DIFFERENT COMPANY--to be installed in the next couple of weeks-- Hopefully we will not have that problem- We use lake water , which is very hard water, in this house with filters and purifier systems put onto it--Do any of you know much about water softener tanks?--
So, how are yu this AM? --How is your day going?---are you expecting Sadie, that cleaning Lady(who as you know, is really me)- to help you out?
Whatever happens, do not allow anyone to ruin your day---just--be amazing----
One thing that must be done, is , to get our snow tires off---- Do you all put them on , in the winter? I cannot even lift the summer tires-- will have to get one of our boys to do that for me-(I hate asking!)------to break up--There are over 4000- lakes around the city of Elliot Lake-- on the Precambrian shield--and rocks and more rocks--- We live right on the shield------ probably why the city of Elliot Lake was a mining town originally--(a wee bit of history here)
Yes, Grandmothers ARE antique little girls! Lovely.
ReplyDeleteSorry your hair day has to be put off. BUT hope your stulist’s water problem is figured out.
Yes, Sadie was here. Dropped off a box @ UPS, Dropped Jason off for a hair cut, and did laundry, changed the bed. Needed to be done!
Now, now . . . I’m sure one of your sons will be happy to help you with the tires. Just ask!
Listened to music earlier and danced like nobody was watching! Someone has to do it, right!

I am so happy that you danced today--helps doesn't it to be happy--??? Lynda
DeleteSis, I often feel that I am 'cracked.' Like I'm 'losing it.'
ReplyDeleteGreat memes. We ARE all in this life together, so of course the cracking refers to us all!
I'm not quite back to dancing yet, but I can sway to the music.
Hope you and your hairdresser friend have better luck with your water softeners. I think we get lake water, too...from one of MN's 15000 lakes. We don't soften it, though. That must be done before it gets to us.
We all need exercise, but take care with all that raking.
We have cloudy skies, rain is supposed to fall, but it isn't yet here, either.
They did not install a new washer for us, it's still just the one. I've been lucky finding it free this week. You will get your hair done eventually. Me too. I have a call in to the dear lady who comes here to do Joanne's and my hair.
Sadie still has a couple loads of infrequently washed clothes...my recliner cover, extra towels, etc. The lady that exchanges our bills for quarters for the machine left an hour early. She won't be back 'til Monday. Sadie won't be bac 'til Monday. I could go to the bank for quarters, but there are Canadian quarters in the rolls. They jamb up our machine.
I'll just eat a bit of lunch, snooze with Lucky and get ready for the steak dinner my 'adopted daughter' is providing. I guess I am to go to their house and eat with the two of them and one of their mothers.
It will be interesting...a lukewarm dinner by the time we get to their house, but friends to eat with.
Even with no hair appointment, are you going out for errands, etc.?
All for now, Lynda. Love the memes...and you...as always. {{{HUGS}}} Maggie
I could not rake due to rain falling--Swaying to the music sounds like a plan too--No new hair to-day as Hair Lady is not feeling well-=-I thought the hair can wait coz I do not want to pick up a germ---Did you gdt out for supper??-- Yu know I never thought --- yu would be eating alone if not at yer friends-rain here all day--better than snow---Hugs Maggie--Lynda
DeleteIt was a little bit of rum, day for me, LOL
ReplyDeletesounds good to me--=LOL--- Hugs to yu--Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda. Love, love, love your daily updates. You always make me smile, often make me ponder, but always brighten my day. Great inserts.
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely a little cracked and that's OK.
Hair day will have to wait a bit. Better for you to avoid her house right now.
I have a Culligan (brand) water softener. I do not like dragging the 40# bags of solar salt downstairs. It's getting more difficult the older I get. I have to check the level of salt in the tank about once a month.
Hope your day was fabulous, just like you.
No snow tires. Our winters are nothing like yours. I know you don't like asking the boys but you sure can't restle the tires yourself.
Not liking that you've switched from snow blowing to yard raking. There is always so much to do at your big house/yard. Hoping your grandson will mow and weed eat for you.
Hugs and blessings
Marge/St.Louis
Oh so much winter and summer yard work--but--- I am up for it--I hope its the right thing to put that water softener in-- It rained here all afternoo--no raking---- Happy those inserts put a smile on yer face--=We all need to smile-- Hugs, Lynda
DeleteWater softener tanks, not an expert but I have one. Thankfully the folks who sold it to me ARE experts, and both times I've had a problem with it, they have had a solution.
ReplyDeleteHope your hair lady gets her issue fixed, 'cause after all, getting the hair cared for is one of those "sanity" moments in a week.
Oh, my Sadie is showing up more now that the puppy is in residence!
Well the water softener is going in--next week--Hoping we like it-Lynda-Yes dogs create dog hair--LOL--Lynda
DeleteIt's Kathy. I almost forgot to visit today. It's been a long day for me and I am having so much trouble with my back and leg pain. The last time I walked Daisy it was so hard. I feel like the lady who cleaned her house and now has to do it again! Sorry you couldn't get your hair done today. I hope that lady can get her water softener fixed. We had one in this house when we moved in but disconnected it and got rid of it. Hope you had a good day!
ReplyDeleteI just dunno if we need that water softener or not-- Lynda
DeleteI live in the mountains and have all wheel drive and just get all weather tires so I don't have to mess with changing them. I think your tires probably last longer with rotating snow tires for regular tires, but I live alone and it is just more convenient to have one set of tires.
ReplyDeleteI have no filter or softener on my water, so no help there.
Rain definitely better than snow!
One set of tires definitely sound good to me-Its a nuisance to get them changed as the seasons change-Lynda
DeleteWhat is a buttertfly?---I hope yu do OK at the Lab--Good to hear from yu--Lynda
ReplyDeleteIt's a smaller needle. Thank you for the nice message. I know I will be fine.
