Be patient with yourself.

The above is for me too--    I need to be happy--AND SMILE like it says below--perhaps not turn the news  so loud--- This morning, CBC radio announced that all the Boing Dream Liners should be grounded-that they could fall apart in the air--- definitely not a good thing for me to hear with Son#2, the Pilot sitting in Europe, waiting to return home to Toronto--not good news,  the Mother of this Pilot---- I TURNED OFF THE NEWS --  (after I texted the Pilot--)--  Lordy Be!

So----  the only choice I have--- --is------to turn off the news---  for now----- and----  one more thing--"April Showers"----bring, MAY flowers----and we do have showers---Lopez and I have NOT been out--Lordy be!
I must tell you that Himself is absolutely fine this morning--  Can you believe that?? --So so  not good yesterday--and to-day, almost normal for 95 yrs-He has decided to not go to his Lodge  to-day as he says there are mostly women there on Wednesdays---I will probably take him on my "banana run" later on--He always waits in the car---I do not need a lot --but, I need yogurt- and bananas--To-morrow is "Hair Day" plus "wash machine arrival day"----Life just keeps rolling on--and on, doesn't it??

How is the day going in your part of the world? Did you get any raking done?---  (I still have not finished the front lawn)--Are your children all OK?---Are they "bossy"?----  Mine are, but, I know they mean well-- I just wondered if all grown children get that way as they age?--

                                                                -very interesting---

a new picture came in this AM from Son#2 the Pilot--from Denmark-

Imagine living on a river, and below, -breakfast

I must get the vacuum going--and the wee holy terror  ,sweet little, Lopez, out--

"Keep your Chin up"--- Dad just asked me to tell you all that--"MAKE IT A GOOD DAY"--"Be Strong"----- and--try to "BE HAPPY"!

  1. Lynda, terrible about the Dreamliners! Have they decided what's wrong? They must have, I suppose. Will they let your son and the other staff fly home? I am glad my kids are all 'grounded' in their careers.
And yes, they can be bossy. The way I look at that is, yes we are their elders. Should we be the boss? Well, we are...of our own lives. BUT they know better about how things work 'nowadays.' More about technology, finances probably, etc.
I just feel I go with what makes me happy, what I feel is best for me (and Lucky) at any particular time.
The way I have always felt about advice that is given me is, listen attentively, consider the advice and just let it go if it doesn't feel right to me.
The photo of Denmark is beautiful! I'd love to go there.
No raking for me. Need to go out to return some things to Amazon.
Shoes that just didn't work. I got size 7.5. I must need 7.25...and it is not available. Also some toe separators. Evidently from wearing pointy, weird shoes, my toes are now crooked and the nails of one rub into the next and cause pain. Thought these toe separators would work, but they're uncomfortable.
I know, too much information. They say TMI now!
The rain has stopped here, but it's still cloudy and there's a chilly wind. This afternoon the sun is to peak out.
If Himself is happy at home today or doing errands with you, that will be great. Maybe you'll take him to McDonald's.
Hope the deliverers will install your new washer, too. And that they won't come while you're out getting your hair done.
In any case, all will work out. That's a favorite affirmation from the Law of Attraction: Everything always works out for me.
On that note, hope your day continues to be as awesome as you are. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie.

  2. It's Kathy. One of my favorite memories of my time in Norway was the elaborate breakfasts every hotel had. It seemed like miles of buffet type choices. Your son's breakfast looks so good. Yes, I believe all our children decide that we need them to tell us what to do - they forget that they were taught by US! No rain here today, Daisy is happy about that. It finally stopped after dinner last night and the sun tried to show up just a bit. I finally got an appointment with my surgeon because my leg has been hurting me so much. Not sure if it's coming from the back surgery or something else. But it's not until May 23rd. So I guess I'll have to make due with this pain for awhile longer. I'm happy to hear that himself is having a good day. I'll say a prayer for your son waiting to fly back to Canada! I almost never watch the news anymore - I just don't want to know! Have a good day.

  3. I was thinking of you and son #2 when I heard that news. *SIGH* Prayers for a safe flight back home.

Sure hope that you get to go to hair day tomorrow, and that your washer arrives as promised.

  4. It's a beautiful Spring day here, maybe a tad warm at around 70F. Ember does not care for warm weather, it makes her lazy, and then her lack of good exercise makes her grumpy. Whoever heard of a grumpy puppy?

Fingers crossed for your "hair day" and all things going smoothly!

Keep smiling, and I'm keeping a "safe" thought for son #2, the Pilot because... you know... every son has a mother who frets about him!

  5. Hi Lynda! Yes, they have had trouble with those planes for awhile now. Hope your son is home safe. Lovely photos. Good news that Himself is doing better. We are in a tornado watch here in Ohio. Several counties including mine and the county your daughter lives in. They say 70 moh wind and ping pong ball size hail. Always makes me nervous. Hope your day went well!

  6. Hi Lynda: The news about the planes is not new. Journalists always make it sound more sensationalized./ I doubt that Air Canada would fly that many planes that are not safe. Remember they have their own mechanics and safety professionals that also look into these things. Denmark looks so nice. I hope they will deliver the washer before your hair appt. Himself may not handle it well. Have a good night. Hugs Brenda
