Justa lot of thoughts!

LATE----  LATER THAN LATE---  I am truly sorry---I went grocery shopping--then came home--ran upstairs --downstairs--- and in the ladies pantry---  and put it all away--and the day is almost done----Rest time, but a blog must get on here--just to let you know that I am OK--Himself is OK---Praise the good Lord!-- I know , when you do not see the blog, you must be thinking that I am having another horrible terrible day--BUT---  I AM NOT! --All is well---  Praise the Lord!-

-I did have trouble getting on here---I forgot the password--had to look it up--unlock it--------  Doesn't that nearly drive you crazy?-Every site it seems has a different password----and I get in such a dither, I usually type in the wrong letter or symbol--

It has finally stopped raining--no sun--but  I believe we are almost seeing some sunshine shining through the clouds---

I was buying bananas --plus $189.00 worth of groceries---  One small normal can of Campbell's soup was $1.58--Prices here have sky rocketed--Meats are out of this world--  vegetables and fruits are now packaged in very small amounts and VERY costly--I imagine all of this is the same in your area---I wonder if these prices will ever go back down.

You know, I used to spend a great deal of dollars on clothes--not anymore--Eating seems more important--- Anyway, it is what it is---

Our pets these different days, help me stay sane--Dog food and dog cookies--- is their world!-  They don't know what is going on--They just want to be close to us--to please us---and eat lots of doggie things----I wonder what goes thru their little brains---  They absolutely adore their owner and would do everything for us--Being a dog --or cat, might not be so bad---

Himself and Lopez are snoring away --Rest time--my time to read my book--I hope that you get a wee rest in--

Remember to be STRONG--

  1. Hi Lynda. Thank you for posting. Here's a big HUG so you know how loved and special you are.
Laughed at the password answer GOOD ENOUGH. I'd love that!
Nope, I doubt prices will go down. Inflation is eating up the retirement income we worked hard to have.
    Great inserts...all of them.
    Enjoy your nap and book.

He will get better. Hope you enjoyed your rest! Have a wonderful evening!

  3. It's Kathy. Yes, I would like to crawl inside myself and not listen to the noise of the world. It's all so disturbing. Police being shot, students protesting every thing happening, schools on lock down and wars! And the politicians!!! I seldom watch the news anymore because I just don't want to know. Why can't people just get along! Well, that's my soap box for the day. I'm so glad you are having a good day. Yes, I'd rather eat than have new clothes. I can't remember the last time I bought something to wear - good thing I hardly ever go anywhere! I hope you get your rest in. Little Daisy is lying in my doorway snoring away! I sure wish I could sleep like she does - anywhere, and any time!

  4. Hi Lynda: I agree - food is getting so expensive. Packages get smaller and prices get bigger. Love the meme about a password being close enough! It's so hard to remember them and keep them straight. Glad all is well with both of you. We all worry about you when you post late! Have a good evening. Brenda

  5. Lynda, so happy you are all well. Lopez and Sushi, too, I'm guessing.
Love the memes. Saved the soul companions one. It is so true...friends, family, pets, people who serve us and those that we serve.
I just returned from a bit of shopping, too. Took my friend do the bank and to get her stuff. In thanks she treated me to a chocolate malt (with extra chocolate) at Dairy Queen. Don't know if you have those where you are. It's a treat I wouldn't have bought if I was out on my own.
Sadie helped with a couple chores before we left to do our errands.
Yes, I believe we'd all just like to curl up alone and forget the world's problems. That's kinda what I do when I meditate.
All for now, sis. Lucky says it's nap time. I think it's kinda late for that. But what the you know what...I'm retired now! {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie.

  6. I don't know if the prices will ever drop again, they may just stabilize at these higher levels. That seems to be the way the rachet of inflation works. Sigh.

Still, I'm glad I can manage (for now). And Ember still gets her treats. And Prisoner still gets his.

    Onward!

  7. Yes to one of your photos...I want to turn off my mind some days and not worry about the state of the world, or anything else. I stayed home from work yesterday and managed that, for the most part. Did NOTHING, basically, and then napped. It was blissful! :)

  8. Glad you had a good day. For sure, shrinkflation (smaller packages, larger prices) seems to be the rule of the day, and doubtful it is going to change any time soon. Unfortunately.

But hope you have a good evening.

  9. Good evening - out of curiousity, I checked the price of a can of Campbells soup (like Mushroom or Chicken Noodle) and it is $1.26 at Walmart. Thats a difference of 32 cents which is rediculous! The Farmer's Markets are beginning to open for the summer which is always nice - not a lot cheaper but fresh picked. Here in the middle of the country the strawberries are in season and delishous this year. I need to go out for more tomorrow.

Hope tomorrow is another good day. Does anybody else have trouble remembering what day of the week it is? I almost said to have a good weekend but I remembered that today isn't Friday. Dot

  10. Yes! prices are high here also...I am in Illinois - close to the St Louis, MO. border. I just have stopped buying a lot of things that I used to buy....but living alone, I don't need as much...I can eat yogurt, or cereal, or a frozen meal and be satisfied.....so I don't do much cooking unless I have my kids and grandkids coming over! And then I splurge! I bought a couple of beef roasts and made Italian Beef in my crock pot and had Cheesy Texas potatoes and salad and kids brought sides and a birthday cake....kids weren't happy that I wanted to cook for my 77th birthday, but it is something I wanted to do as I love it when they all come here to be with me. And I am RETIRED and they all work and it is easier for me to do things at my leisure! And I hate it when they try to order food from some expensive place just to celebrate my birthday. So it made me happy to host my own birthday! hahaha! Oh how things change as we age! I was worried when I couldn't find your blog earlier....it's just like you said...I imagined the worst things! So glad to find that you were just late because of grocery shopping! Love you Lynda! You are a special friend!
