Good Day to all!

Good morning--- We  woke up to snow all over everything, this morning--  and minus 10C temps--like winter!-But we do have sunshine-- which does help us face the day--

It has been a busy morning--Himself is at his Day Program--I went in with him and the whole lodge is decorated like  they are in Hawaii---  They greeted us at the door with Aloha--  There are grass skirts hanging from tables in the dining room-- Hawaiian music is playing---What Fun! And there was a gorgeous cake , covered in Pineapple --- Everything looks so good--Even the staff are dressed with flowers around their necks--I know that Himself is not into all this, but, it's better for him to be there and partake in all the fun, than sitting at home here listening to me vacuum.

I should have danced with him before we left--then he just might join the fun!

The water guys yesterday were absolutely the best!--(sp?)-Three of them worked all day---redid all the pecs (pipes) took all the old ones out--new taps where needed--new plastic pipes with all new fittings, a soft water  machine which looks so modern and sounds like a dishwasher when working (which it does at 2am)-I was totally impressed--They went in and downstairs, thru the garage, were very polite, and of course changed more taps etc , which had caroded--and the bill was way more than the estimate--but--- heck, it looks so much safer---better--like--we are not going to have water problems--
BUT
This AM "I" vacuumed stairs--the furnace room--cleaned the bathroom that must've been used-(Sadie , that marvellous cleaning Lady never showed up)-She must've been at one of your houses-but that is OK---So----We just sunk  another pile of money into this house, but it is money well spent I think--

It is time to pick up the man of the house--I must ask you all tho, "Are you making your day, great? (Lord love a Duck, I sound like  you know who!)

WE all CAN do this---

  1. Oh my! I can't believe you have snow! It's late April! Is this unusual for your area of Canada? Our last frost is usually about April 15th! I am going to put out my hummingbird feeders today because they have been sighted by several people around here! The Hawaiian decor at the Lodge sounds wonderful! So nice that they go all out to make things special for the people who attend or live there! So fun! I hope that your snow melts quickly in the sunshine today! And HOORAY for the new pipes and water softener! Certainly worth the expense, I am sure!

  2. Sis, I am happy that your pipe situation is fixed. Those dudes sound like they have good customer service skills!
Maybe Himself will show you he now knows how to do the hula now! I didn't get a lei when I got off the plane in Hawaii. I guess all the airlines aren't doing that anymore.
Sadie hasn't been here yet today. Hopefully, she will come a bit later to at least do dishes. Myself, I got a couple minor chores done.
Beautiful day here. Mostly sunny. That ferocious wind is gone. The leaves have budded. It's only 8 degrees above freezing, but with no wind and sun shining, it feels warmer...like spring.
Poor you...more snow! Not enough to have to shovel, I trust. Maybe the sun will melt it quickly.
Himself will probably need a nap. That may give you a chance to get something done...or take a day off and just relax. You can nap with your kindle, play some music, love on your pets...or all that.
Keep smiling. Your memes are always right on. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  3. Hi Lynda, SNOW??? Again..what the heck? Hope you don't have to shovel. Needs to STOP. It's sunny but cool 65F in St.Louis. hummingbird sightings have occurred. The trees are all leafed (is that a word?) out.
The Hawaiian theme sounds nice. Himself "might" enjoy it after he's there a bit. At least you got him to go on a Wednesday.
New water softener system, pipes etc. sounds super. Estimates usually run higher it seems. Hope Lopez didn't throw a fit all day.
Hope your day is grand. Yes, dance...why not.
    Hugs and blessings

  4. Thank goodness you have changed to new pipes, that needed to be done, really, and will help when you sell the place. You don’t want to deal with leaks! Glad Himself got to the lodge today. A bit of a break for you!

  5. It's Kathy. Thank you for your words of encouragement yesterday. I will have the CT Scan on Saturday and hope the results will help figure out why I'm having this pain. I'm glad himself went to the Day Center, sounds like they're really making it festive for the people. My cousin's daughter is an administrator at a care facility like that and it seems they are always doing fun things with their people! Not how things were years ago! Have a great day and sorry about the snow but it will be gone quickly, I'm sure!

  6. Snow! Yowzers! We had frost here a couple of days ago, but it has moderated since then. I took Ember to see her vet this morning, for the next in the series of shots that puppies get. Did you know they have a flu shot for dogs? Next time, in May, she'll get her rabies shot, and then she will be able to graduate to the next level of puppy class.

It's funny about working with dogs... one day they can seem like a terror and that you'll never get over this current challenge (whatever it is), and then something clicks in their doggy little brains and the next day they are golden. Then it starts all over again with a different "current challenge" until they become the "good dog" that you knew they were all along.

Puppy love! So yes, making the day a good one!
