You are awesome!

-justa a quick hello before I take Himself to his Day Program--Lopez and I have been out--  We "hoofed it" up the back road and back--The robins were singing--so loud too--I loved hearing them. I think they were trying to tell me that they are back--back to the Boreal Forest here, where we live.

I really do hope that something ridiculously awesome happens  to you to-day--  I love those kinds of days!   It is the eclipse day--- and Son#2 , the Pilot, is off to Vancouver. I hope that he does not look at the sun--kinda hard tho, as he will be in the sky---

Himself is good --I love days that he is  good! -And Sadie, that terrific cleaning Lady, (who is really me!)  came yesterday, SUNDAY---  and worked upstairs here--hopefully she will return to-day to give me a hand.---

Yes, think about "YOU"---  You are an awesome person---a special person---no matter your age--or--what you are wearing, --- because you and I have been on this earth long enough to get things right--- you are one awesome dude! You know, I always admire others, but, pat "yourself" on your back  to-day!
If you are fortunate enough to live where one can view the total eclipse, I hope you do--in your special glasses---  I think to-day I just will not look "UP"-----Do you intend to see the eclipse?--

I am off to "SEE THE WIZARD"--LOLOL----  No--not really--but,  I am off to get Himself  to get to his Day Program-Did any of you have a problem finding the blog this AM--??--

Keep a twinkle in your eye-- Smile at any little older Ladies , or Gentlemen, you may see--- One of them might be me!

  2. No problems receiving your blog - have the site bookmarked on the browser of my computer (Safari) and it goes right to you when I click on it each day! I hope you have an awesome day too. I am in Illinois near the St. Louis border, but not far south enough to see the total eclipse, but they say will will see it at 94%. I just hope all those school children who are watching with their classes are safe! I remember in 2017, most of the schools did not hold classes that day, but very few schools around here have dismissed for today.

  6. Sis, I got it! And you would not be an older Gentleman!
So happy to get your blog early. Have no idea where it went yesterday!
Sounds like you will have a good day today. I hope so. Himself should be better. Will you do errands and have lunch with him?
I don't think I will try the eclipse. For one thing, we have so much cloud cover, I don't think it will be visible. At least the rain had stopped. The last couple days I thought we'd all wash away. The April rain bring the May flowers, though (and those bring the June brides).
Sadie got some stuff done yesterday here, and will do more today. With no longer any need to even take pain pills, I am catching up on things around here.
That day you couldn't respond to my comment, I saw there was a HUGE empty spot after my typing before it posted. Maybe that was a problem. I don't know why/how it happened, but I'll try to be more deliberate to avoid it.
Be happy, Lynda...think of the positive things. I know sometimes it's hard. For all of us, I believe.
    {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  7. Oh, we had the totality here in 2017, for almost 2 minutes, and it felt... awe-inspiring. At that time, knowing this one was coming, I kept my "eclipse safe" glasses, and have tested them to make sure no light leaks even now, so I will try to at least see a little of the partial that is visible from here. We have a better day for it today than we did in August 2017... clear and sunny. That day we had to wait for a break in the clouds, and we got lucky, at just the right time the clouds moved away from the sun.

Local radio stations were broadcasting the moment it was safe to take the glasses off, and warning when to put them back on. I just hope for a good experience for whoever is kissed by that total eclipse today. It made me feel small, and united with those watching around me (I went up to the dam face nearby, having taken the day off work).

((( hugs and wishes for a good day for all )))

  8. It's Kathy. No trouble finding you and you, Lynda, are also awesome! I can also hear the Robins. They sound so happy. It's cloudy and rainy here so we won't see anything but I don't really care. I'm sure it's really cool but it just doesn't interest me. Daisy has finally forgiven me for her bath! She certainly has a mind of her own! Hope it's a great day today!

  9. That eclipse was wonderful! Watched the picture on the tv, no need to look at the sky, outside was totally night time for close to 5 minutes, all the outdoor lights came on. Birds out back landed on the lawn, eating quickly. Inside the house all black unless a light was turned in. Very cool. Glad we saw it. If there ever is a chance, take part. Hope Himself had a good time st the club for seniors!

  10. Hi Lynda. It is YOU that is awesome and inspiring every day.
Happy himself is at day program and happy.
Sadie was here yesterday and again this morning.
I wonder what pilot son will see.
The eclipse was 97% here but still cool to see. I saw the total eclipse in 2017 which was incredibly cool.
    Enjoy your day. Stay positive.
    Great inserts

I didn't even notice the eclipse today as it was cloudy and rainy. Where we are we had about a third of the sun covered, so it didn't dim it much.
The pilot won't probably even notice the eclipse as he should probably be in Vancouver before it happens, and I believe that Vancouver isn't even in the eclipse path.
