Add a giggle to your wiggle-

Good morning all--We have bright sunshine--cold temperatures--no snow (for now!)--and life seems good this morning. Lopez has walked--did what he was supposed to do - (I got him out of his bed without him biting me)---

The water guys have departed from changing almost every pipe in the furnace room---and it really does look grand--- safe---  nothing dripping--  with a lovely soft water machine  which looks so amazing, and runs at 2am--in the night---softens the water --- so--if I am not able to sleep in the night, I can go down and listen to that soft water machine--It sounds like a dishwasher--and you know what the best part of all this is?--  I made the decision to replace all those pecs and washers, all myself  (--was so afraid we could not afford it)-----  but----(  I kinda robbed Peter to pay Paul)---  Mom used to say that---the cheque went thru our bank--- the work is done--- and I am very happy with the job the company did--and-- Just having new pipes put in, takes a great deal of worry from me--Water problems can do a great deal of damage in a home--

Are "YOU" happy this AM??--- Lord love a Duck! I hope so--- Sometimes  turning up the music helps---and try out a wee dance to that music--Grandfather Wallace  (Scottish of course! )---who I adored, used to take both my hands, in his very old huge kitchen, and say, "Come on, and-- a heel and a toe and away we go--"---and we would twirl around his kitchen--- I was maybe 3 yrs old-then- we would laugh and laugh-- Try it---- I bet you will get a smile on your face!---

I loved Grampa's house--- in Port Perry, ON., --It had a long wooden, curving staircase in his front hall-- as kids, when our parents were not looking, we would hold onto the banister , and slide down it--like the above lady in the picture--and you know, if I ever returned to Grandfather's Home, (and it is still there), I would still slide down that banister.

Sometimes life get us in such a tizzy, we just can't see life's good stuff--for the "crazy-s"--Above are some Gratitude prompts---which just might put some "jiggle in your wiggle"----  like---"Name the best thing that ever happened to you"----I bet you smile---

You are such a unique individual----Remember that!

  1. Hands down - the best thing that ever happened to me was falling in love with my high school sweetheart and marrying him and getting to be with him as his wife for over 50 years! What is yours Lynda?

  2. Sounds like your weather is like ours . . . bright sun now but cold. NO snow. Thank goodness, but rain expected most of the weekend.

Glad that the water guys did a good job for you! AND the cheque cleared the bank!

Awwww, your Grandpa Wallace sounds like a wonderful man!

Ok, the best thing that happened today – DS John sent a text that he proposed to his Crystal and . . . she accepted! AWESOME. They are good for each other and most importantly, make each other smile. That is so important! So . . . I will be a MIL, and have a DIL and I am so happy about that! No definite plans yet, but I know they’ll let us know. LOL

  3. It's Kathy. Love the Gratitude Journal Prompts. Something to think about. Glad there's no snow today and how wonderful to have all the pipes redone. We need to do that work at our home too - one of these days! We are having a beautiful spring day today. Makes me want to go outside and get some work done. We'll see! Have a good day!

  4. Lynda, we are all unusual. We have different upbringing, different beliefs learned from our family and peers, different shaped bodies, different abilities, etc. But there are certain things about us that are the same. Everyone wants safety, good food and shelter, someone to love, to feel needed and appreciated...etc.
    Love that old lady meme!
Glad you have your pipes fixed. Does Himself know what has happened and understand it...from the washer to the pipes and water softener?
Not much going on here in Faribault, Mn. Mostly sunny skies, though, only a hint of a (warmer) breeze and no rain/snow falling. The temperature is about 13 degrees above freezing. It will be even warmer later this afternoon.
My lively alarm clock got me out of bed super early this morning. I am ready to see if he wants another play session, eat some lunch and take a snuggle with him.
Is Sadie at your house today? I haven't seen her here yet.
Whatever you do today, sis, focus on the positive. Enjoy! {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

    1. Maggie--No, Himself pretty much doesn't know what is going on here in the house --just seems to go with the flow--and yes, so happy to not think about pipes leaking-- I knew anytime that might happen--Sadie dropped in but only stayed maybe an hour this am---- To-morrow she might help me fertilize the front lawn-- good to get it on because the next day the rain can get it into the lawn--- always a busy day eh--but nice to get to the "hair Lady to-day--Lynda

  6. Hi Lynda! I've been catching up on your blogs, I was way behind. I don't get notices when they are posted anymore and always seem to have a million things on my mind, so I seldom go in to read people's posts but I try to do as many as I can daily.

Getting older (I'll be 90 next year) has seen me slow down quite a bit too. But I wanted to tell you that I really enjoy your blogs and will try to get in to read them more often.
I love to hear about Fred, you and Lopez.

Take care, my friend, and enjoy each day at it comes.
    Love, Gloria xoxo

    1. Gloria--- Oh I am so happy to see yu on here-- Any suggestions yu have for Fred --or Lopez, please don't hesitate to tell me---- Lopez loves me to the moon and back, but will still bite me if he doesn't want to do what I need him to do, at certain times--It all began when Fred started to hit him with his cane--which I hope has stopped now--but--I do not trust Fred, so I try very hard to never leave Lopez with him when I'm not home.--So, you are 90??-- Good for yu!--I am nearly 82--so I'm not far behind yu-- Fred is almost 96 ---I get Fred to a Day Program at a Srs Home , now, 3 mornings a week--and he comes home happier--gets him out to do crafts and meet other people stays for lunch --and then I pick him up-- --I am SO happy to be able to visit with yu--LyndA

  7. Hi Lynda! I hope you got your pictures back on the wall. Always something to do. You must feel good about the new water pipes and softener. Happy you got a check to help out with all of that! It was sunny and 70 here in Ohio today. It had been pretty chilly in the 40's so it was nice. It will be 80 on Sunday and Monday. It will be great! Hope you are doing well and keeping your chin up! Hugs!
