We have mega rain falling--definitely not going to be an outside day--Lopez has decided to stay on the sofa, so he can get out later I guess--I believe we are in for a few rainy days here.
Son#2 the Pilot is heading to Vancouver--- this morning--I believe it is raining there also. It is "that" time of year-- April showers--- bring May flower-- in 3 days--- LOL--only 3 more days in this rainy month!
So--How are you all? Do you have sunshine in your neck of the woods?--Are you "Happy and you know it"--and if you are, "clap your hands"---
I stopped yesterday a the grocery and purchased some emergency groceries--like--milk and bananas and cat food--which means that I can postpone a large grocery order , hopefully, until tomorrow----To-day seems like a "stay at home day"---kinda dark and dreary " here--
Hopefully you are bright eyed and bushy tailed, this morning-Sometimes you may have to turn up the music and dance-
---maybe old??
I hope that your day goes well---that you get a wee rest in--Do you??--I always lie down with my kindle, and it falls on the floor eventually , as I have fallen asleep--
I hope that to-day, we all can "just be ourselves"--the magical persons that we are---
Smile at those persons we meet along the road to-day--some of them have no brains (the crazies)--some are afraid but are out there anyway , like the Cowardly lion, and then there are those who are not kind to us, no heart, like the scarecrow--- and the Tim Woodman--but---our smile goes a long way to relieve the stress in those we meet--
Good Morning to you all--- another day--
Good morning Lynda
ReplyDeleteIt is YOU that is simply the best!
Sunny at the moment and windy. More storms later today. It rained yesterday, will rain later today and tomorrow. The grounds guys are out mowing our villa yards this morning...in between rain.
Loved all your inserts. Always pertinent.
I bought a large flavored coffee this morning to treat myself. Yay me. And I gave extra smiles and compliments to the young lady at the drive through.
I did a small grocery run yesterday, including bananas. It's less shocking to me to spend less in more frequent trips.
Sadie will be here shortly. I've got dusting, mopping and 2 bathrooms plus laundry for her.
Enjoy your day. Keep being MAGNIFICIENT.
HUGS and blessings
Marge/St.Louis
Awwww Marge--Yu are so good!--It was a rainy day here also--This morning I tried on a zillion pair of jeans--all sizes in my closet--tying to move the summer stuff upstairs and get rid of clothes that do not fit-- I think Ive been every size under the sun--seems a 14 jean is fitting-- Lynda
DeleteIt's Kathy. Kind of dreary here too today, but no rain. At least not right now. It rained overnight and most of the day yesterday. Today will be a quiet day for me - not going anywhere! I love these days. Daisy wasn't too interested in going out this morning either and I just remembered that I didn't feed her because she threw up early this morning. So I best get some food in her bowl! Have a nice day!
ReplyDeleteDaisy and her queesy tummy eh! -I love days that I can stay home----all day--Lynda
DeleteNo rain yet, but rain starting this afternoon through Monday. Lots of rain.
ReplyDeleteHappy surprise this week: DS and Crystal got engaged. Plan on wedding in May, 2025. So happy for them. She is a gem, and they’re good together. Simpatico, as they say!
Here’s to a good Saturday!
Hugs

Nice to see the family getting engaged-- making a new life together-- You mustve been a good Mom--=Lynda
DeleteLynda, remember how the Tin Man cried at the end when he discovered his heart? Love that movie. I watch it every time I see it on. Just a kid at heart, I guess. You, too?
ReplyDeleteIt's been dreary here for days, too. No rain falling today, but it's still cloudy...overcast. The temp isn't too bad...22 degrees above freezing.
I ordered my cat food on line. It's costing over twice as much to feed him since I am giving him now senior food for ages 7 and up. I'm using Hill's Science Diet soft food. When his 'crunchies' bag is empty, I'll get the same food in dry form. I probably overfeed him, but who can resist when they beg so cute? Wet food is only a couple or so times a day. If he gets hungry (or bored?) he can go the the dry food.
Good news! I gained a pound! Back up to 117#.
Tomorrow is karaoke. Wonder if I can make it til the end. Last week I left an hour early.
I know you like it when your son is flying 'home.'
Will your kids celebrate Mother's Day with you? I believe my close by daughter will treat me to something. Time will tell. If she's too busy with her work at home job and all her son's sports, that's okay. I know they love me.
When I am reading on my Kindle (or desktop pc or a paper book) I never fall asleep unless it's a really boring book. I tend to only get those I know will be interesting to me.
In any case, I hope you get your nap in. Does one of the pets snuggle with you while you sleep like Lucky does me at nap time? Does Himself nap at the same time so as not to disturb you?
So many questions. Sorry, sis. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
I love Dorothy and the wizard of Oz-- and all the books that follow--I never knew I could order cat food online--It rained off and on all day here with heavy fog--Yes, Matt out in Vancouver--flies back tomorrow-- and yes, Fred naps every afternoon at 1pm to 2 pm---like clockwork-- I hope you make it to your Karaoke-I know you enjoy it--- Hugs, Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda: We have rain off and on today. Supposed to get some tomorrow too but much warmer. Can't wait for warmer weather. Vancouver has always had more rain than us so not surprised it's raining there too. Love all the sayings and you are the one that's Simply the Best! Have a good evening. Hugs Brenda
ReplyDeleteOh Brenda---I wish I was the best--LOL--I lose it sometimes--LOL It rained here all day--Lynda
DeleteIt was a mixed weather day here, with dry earlier, and thunderstorms rolling through about 3 p.m., and they are still ongoing now. I thought of you because I took Ember over to visit Carl and play in his yard, and found out that her upset tummy coming to me from Broken Bow where she was born was not a one-off. She vomited both going and coming home. Poor little thing. I held her on my lap (after cleaning the crate and the puppy) and apologized to her for her tummy troubles, until she fell asleep in my arms.
ReplyDeleteHugs and warm wishes,
- Barb (OKM)
Beau never got used to the car--- drooled--- panted--- Poor Ember--but you were a good Mom to hold her-- Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda! How was your Saturday? A couple showers today here in Ohio but I did sit outside on the deck with Tommy for awhile before it started. Sadie was here. I got my cleaning and bed done. Tomorrow will be your bed day and then I hope you get lots of rest on our favorite day! My mom used to get us every morning by telling us to rise and shine. It's all I can think of every time I hear that now. LOL I hope the pilot has a nice trip. I bet he finds McDonald's! LOL Enjoy your evening!
ReplyDeleteTo-day was a good day-- tying to move summer clothing upstairs--winter down--horrid job----wet and foggy here all day-Lynda
