The mind believes what you tell it--

We have snow---  a lot!--  It seemed like it snowed all night--and I could hear the wind blowing it around-This morning I have been out clearing off the car--and pushing the snow away from our parking spot--If the paper guy does come and throw out the paper, I will see it. It is cold---  very cold!

The "blinds " are supposed to come this AM--and the guy should be here soon, to hang them--FINALLY we can close them---have some privacy --(when they are hung)-----

Yesterday I did  moan (a lot!) and  I wanted to return to Elliot--That is an awful feeling you know--to be here but wish to be there--Crazy!!  I know that I am better off here-- do not have to "blow" the very long driveway---with my "sorta old" heart-----I saw a picture however of one of the people living in our house in Elliot and I could see the snow, plus the house in the back ground--you know, it wasn't only the driveway that I used to take care of, but the doggie trails around the yard also--and the walkway to the dog pen--which always was 4 feet high of snow--Anyway, enough of that eh?

I guess everything happens for a reason eh??--Sometimes, it takes time to see the reason----

-I must get ready for this "BLIND" guy---  put Lopez somewhere--and not think too much about life's changes--  just focus on TO_DAY----

I shall return in a bit--with pictures of BLINDS on windows---Keep your chin up, as Dad always said---You are worth it!!!-----

                                                               Later---then--'Gater !

  1. It's Kathy. I'm sure you miss your place in Elliott, you have so many wonderful memories there. But you can take your memories with you. And today you will get blinds so you can shut out the world if you want to. I love having my curtains open during the day but as soon as the sun starts to go down, everything gets closed up. Sometimes Daisy doesn't like that because she enjoys looking out the window even at night! But I want to feel that the world is out there and I am cozy inside. Have a wonderful day. Today I am finally going to my Pilates class!!!

  2. An exciting day already for you Lynda! An early blog, too. Or maybe I just think it's early cuz I slept late.
An exciting day here, too. It's gonna be 44F (6.667C) here today and sunny! My car should start. Will need to drive it for 20 minutes or so and top off the gas. Can't forget to add Heet.
I will go to T-Mobile and have them help me. I hit something I didn't mean to hit yesterday on my cell phone, a different weather app downloaded. It took over my home screen. Now I can't even find my phone's setting! I tried so hard to uninstall it, and couldn't figure it out.
My bank's web site was busy the last day or so doing a 'digital upgrade.' I should be able to use it today.
I'm looking forward to photos of the blinds. Hmm...vertical or horizontal? Let's have an amazing day! {{{HUGS}}} Love, your sis, Maggie

  3. My dear, it takes a while to get fully acclimated to a new setting! You’re feelings are perfectly normal! So, let those tears flow sometimes, if that’s what it takes. You know in your heart that you’ve made the right choice. . . not only for you, but for Himself, as well.

Hope the blind installation goes well! It’ll seem more like home when you have those blinds and some privacy!

    HUGS and smiles

  6. So glad the blinds are coming today, and a cozier feeling will ensue! And still some snow to deal with, oh boy! You are doing fine. Keep in mind, we women also get dementia, not just the guys, and can say and do and feel things that cause some alarm. Moving is hard at any age, takes time, like being reborn……to get used to it. We are like children, then. Thank goodness your nice son is there!

  8. I'm sure you miss your former home, you were there for so long..but I miss mine in Alabama, miss my friends & church, miss a lot, but time must move forward.
Have not been online in awhile, fell on the solid ice we had, now for 4 weeks, began to thaw today with a warming trend, we had an inch of ice and about a half inch of snow, then after I fell we had another 9 inches, which we needed for the moisture, but did not think the ice would ever leave because has been colder longer than normal...also have had Bronchitis so just have laid around to try to heal. have lost weight which is a plus, hoping that will bring up my kidney numbers, have to be careful what you eat and make sure you drink water....Kidney disease is no fun.
Hope y'all are doing find and getting adjusted...play the piano & be blessed...
