"YOUR " voice can change the world--Who would think that?? ---It will help others to give life more thought--- Speak up--- Speak yours--Stand up for what you believe--- I truly believe that---And if something does not seem right--- it probably isn't right---
As you can guess, to-day has been busy ---I spent a lot of time with Himself ---- He is doing pretty good, but sometimes just needs a tad more attention--I took him to the "Dollar" store this am--- It 's a store that never seems to be crowded so he can mooch around and pick out this and that, and it makes him feel he is shopping--I know yesterday when I was at the Hair dresser he was quite upset when I returned home-- I think he doesn't like to be alone too long-was quite cross when I returned home---So, the Dollar store helped him feel like a human being again--not someone tucked away out of sight--
How is your day going??---- Did you find lots to do--or--too much to do got you down?
Many hugs to-yu all--=and I shall talk to you all to-morrow
Lynda
Hi Lynda, glad to see your blog and to know that things are ok.

Hi Marge--I hope your day ent went also-- Lynda
DeleteSounds like today is a happy one all around. Yay for good days!!
ReplyDeleteYes yeah for good days--I agree--LOL--Lynda
DeleteMy dear, you did the absolute right thing getting Himself out to the Dollar Store. I am sure that the short time you are gone feels like an eternity to Himself. Obviously it isn’t, but to him it is.
ReplyDeleteBusy day, but a good day. That’s all you can ask of a day . . . let there at least be good parts to the day.
HUGS and have a good evening.

Hi Lynda. Yesterday I was reading a good article about dementia, and forwarded it on to you via email. Hope you saw it and found it maybe useful. It seems as if a person with dementia wouldn't do at all well alone, but what can you do if no one is there to sit with him? Unless you could bring him along to sit at the hairdresser's with you. They could give him a task to do or something where he might feel useful.
ReplyDeleteToday was fine, just another (luckily uneventful) day.

It's Kathy. Great idea to take himself to the Dollar store. I don't know what my husband would do if he couldn't get out nearly every day! Sounds like things are starting to feel more normal now that you're settling in to your new home.
ReplyDeleteRD in AZ here way to go on finding a store that you are able to take him into and he is good with it Have a blessed day
ReplyDeleteHi Lynda! It was sunny in Ohio today. It was a hectic day with lots to do on the phone for my mom but got it done. So good of you to get Himself out. You take such good care of him and Lopez and Sushi. They are so lucky to have you! My tinnitus acting up tonight. Hard to think straight. Hope you have a wonderful evening. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteGosh, sis, I should have checked this again at suppertime!
ReplyDeleteI may be in time, though. I don't think you've read these comments. At least there are no responses.
Strange day here. We did get a light dusting of snow. Maybe 1/4 inch.
I know Himself enjoyed the dollar store! Who wouldn't? Those places have such a variety of things to choose from. Our dollar stores is now $1.25!
I didn't do much. Loved on my kitty took a nap, straightened up. I did my therapy exercises. Tomorrow I will get on my exercise bike for at least a few minutes. Exercise is about the only thing to help this DISH they say I have.
Then it is laundry. So glad you guys had fun. Himself must be frustrated lots of times. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
I'm starting to equate your getting Himself out with my taking Ember for a ride in the car when she starts getting "antsy". I'm so glad she's not having as hard a time with car sickness as she did when she was younger, and "going for a ride" can be an enriching adventure. Today I even got her a "pup cup" with the whipped cream.
